I checked the logs and DeviousDevicesNG.log has the line [2026-03-01 12:30:17.346] [log] [warning] [DeviceReader.cpp:61] Skipping mod RennasRanch.esp because is it disabled AddItemMenuSE also doesn't see it. I have the requirements installed as best I can tell but the requirements aren't very specific about what versions are needed. I'm running SE version 1.5.97.0. Does this require AE?

Thanks for the quick response. It is enabled in MO2 but doesn't get enabled in game. I'm not at the esp limit and MO2 isn't complaining about missing masters. Probably a lot harder when there's extra doors and cells added to cities by other mods like in your case. Probably going to add some extra markers to the cities for that one in the future to make those locations a bit harder.

Here's the feedback I wrote down while I was playing, with a few suggestions under some of them. Pros I like that the mod is 100% Consensual. There's not enough of it on LL IMO. Cast is well written and likeable. Enjoyable tasks that didn't take too long (besides tracking the apprentice from Falkreath to Winterhold) Looking forward to seing what rewards a good pony can earn! Cons I don't like that it implies that there is a penalty for not returning to the ranch fast enough after the crystal vibrates. I'd phrase it more like the PC is being invited back, in keeping with the consensual nature of the deal and so I don't have to worry about the crystal going off when I'm on Solsteim or something. The pole in the initial dressing event seems to hate me. It seems to be a 50/50 chance that it will allow movement after the armbinder is equipped, otherwise the PC is still fixed in place and the pole is teleported with them when Renna leaves the stable. Experienced a crash when touring the racetrack, which meant that I had to do the whole fitting twice again because of the issue above. Couldn't get the crash to repeat itself though. Minor nitpick: Ponytail color doesn't match hair color EDIT: Oddly enough when I reloaded a save, the ponytail matched color, but initially it was blonde. Hopefully a well-behaved ponygirl will get to earn her choice of tails eventually. Old hairstyle didn't return to what it used to be. Not a big issue with Change of Face mod. The quest text for morning and evening confused me for a bit. It would be clear to say "Awaken at 7-9AM" instead of "Awaken before sunrise. (7-9am)". A rare typo here and there. (I should have wrote down where) Going to keep my eyes on this one!

I have the black screen bug when being captured at first entry by the tunnel. I managed to get vision back by triggering some scene (dangerous night), but my character does not have any device on her. Also, the only way to have the dialogue with dynasty appear is by using console commands. Finally, i manage to discuss with Renna, but i feel like the last part of the intro is not working (maybe due to the missing yoke?), at stage 90, i have to setstage to advance and when i finish the quest (console command again), i'm still blocked in the cell. Even using coc, when i come back to the valley and try to talk to people, i do not have any dialogue available... is there any way to start the following quests, hoping they'll work better please? I will be adding some more locations for that quest eventually and they will all be a bit closer(Dawnstar, Windhelm, Solitude at furthest) than that one so super far destinations are less likely. There isn't/won't ever be a penalty for not returning right away. The dialogue where she tells you not to make her wait was supposed to be more of a playful thing rather than a warning or command but I can go back and try to make that more clear. That pole/scene seems to break for a lot of people in different ways, but never for me. Which is the worst kind of bug to face. If you have a papyrus log from that scene I could look and see if there are any issues that show up. The ponytail thing I think is just an issue with how stuff with the haircolor shader syncs its colour with your hair. Not sure if that's a DD problem or a problem with some hair mod or something like that. I probably won't ever force the hair back. I assume most people have mods for things like that or can pop open racemenu and change it manually. But who knows, I have never used any mods for hair management or stuff like that so maybe there is something that is easy to integrate that can do that. Using console commands to progress the stuck quest (or any quest in this mod) is probably going to break things so I wouldn't do that. The mod is not friendly to coc or setstage commands. I'll need a papyrus log from the segment where the quest first bugs out to see what's wrong. The only thing that happens when the screen fades to black is some device equips, some quest functions, , and a move. Based on what you said about Dynasty not having dialogue it sounds like the script failed on the device equips and never got to the quest functions that were supposed to enable that dialogue. Can't say for sure without a papyrus log at the least though. 2

Really good work so far and i'm looking forward to seeing how this develops. Second I want to know is there meant to be an animation for the highstep walk button at the moment and I've just bugged something when setting up my mods or has that yet to be added? The highstep animation is done through OAR so if I had to guess you probably have some animation set with a crazy high priority that is overwriting the highstep set. You should be able to see it in the OAR console if that is the case.

Thanks for your answer, i will try to get the papyrus file but i'm struggling with it... the logger is set in skyrim.ini but so far, in the log folder i only have SLnights... I'll try again in the next days, maybe i missed something obvious (i'm using eldergleam modpack, surely it have something to do with it)

It actually crashes regular notepad if I try to open it there. You have almost 2 million lines of errors from what looks like Unforgiving Devices. There's basically no way my mod or any other DD mod is going to work properly with that going on in the papyrus engine, which would explain why the mod bugs out for you when it tries to equip devices for the first time. This definitely isn't an issue with my mod and I wouldn't expect anything to work properly until you get that solved. It would probably best to make sure you have DD, DDNG, and Unforgiving Devices installed and patched properly and try again. If that doesn't do it you might want to start disabling DD mods to see if any mods you have are causing it. Failing that I would maybe go to Unforgiving Devices support and try to get help. They are very busy though so I would try to do the above yourself first.

Both the sender and the recipient have to turn around and assume a specific position so that the sender or recipient can hand over the delivery. After many attempts, this worked for the sender, but not for the recipient. Is there anything I can do to change this?

Second, pardon if this is a little scattered, but these thoughts have come to me over time and I've finally had a chance to write them down. I'm happy to clarify anything if needed. Map marker: not asking for anything inside the valley, just something in front of the gates that would help getting there. Right now, Halldir's Cairn is the nearest I've got on my map, and I use a separate mod to add a spot I can teleport to just to save a little time. I can't remember the name of the task, but the running back and forth through the numbered gates: I assume I'm supposed to present under the platform after each run, but at best, it's been accepted maybe one in four times (i.e. I get told I should present, while standing in the present pose). Should I be in a specific spot, wait a moment or two, should I not be running/trotting through the gates? This is frustrating, as I've performed flawlessly otherwise, and this feels like a glitch causing failure. Additionally, I had one where it was "quickest route", but got pulled up for going through the first gate the wrong way. Only once, mind, but the implication I get from "quickest route" is to ignore sides and just weave back and forth? Did I miss something? Not sure what caused this, but my most recent game, I skipped the intro and went to Renna, but on finishing that enslavement session, the summoning stone vibrated immediately (and the quest requested the return immediately). I decided to get another one out of the way quickly, but that second session had the same result at the end. I haven't done a third as yet on this save, so I can't tell if it'll do it again after some time away. YPS Immersive Hair takes over hair control, which means the initial hairstyle change is broken (at least for me). By that, I mean that the process happens, and you can change the hairstyle, but as soon as I exit the racemenu screen, the hair gets immediately reset. I'd love to see integration (because it has ways of making changes to hairstyles directly, it could pick a random "hair up" or "tailed" hairdo based on the length, rather than having to go through the racemenu system), but I'm not sure how easy that would be. Conversations end by 'falling' into the normal conversation tree as if activating a person. I've seen other mods manage this by ending the conversation, but I don't know Skyrim modding well enough to know how easy this is. Also, very much a funny from my point of view, and probably some sort of interaction in mods: trotting (high-stepping) is faster than running, so I have a jet-propelled pony. If I add sprinting to the mix, she becomes a rocket-propelled pony! But rocket-fuel is expensive (stamina drains extremely quickly) so it makes up for it. 😂 Finally, an offer (and I realize how rude this may sound; I'm offering in good faith): I've seen a few complaints about spelling/grammar, and I've seen some of them myself. I'm not a professional by any means, but I'd like to think my proofreading skills are somewhat above average, so I'd like to offer support, if you'd like it. I've already added a map marker out front for the next version. There will also be another way to get back quickly that I have plans for later as well. For that quest (and almost every other time) when you are asked to pose you need to do it quickly and you need to hold it until you are dismissed or told otherwise. Are you doing that? I can add some dialogue to one of the intro quests to make it a bit more clear. For the quickest route variant you still need to follow the other rules, but have to make sure you never take the long way around to get to a gate. It doesn't actually change all that much right now since the gate setup is pretty simple but in the future when I add more variants or start combining them it will come up more. Can make that more clear in the explanation. I looked at the release function and I see now that there is a small chance when you get released that the controller checks the timer to see if it should summon you back BEFORE it resets that timer. Will fix that. People have mentioned YPS before and I am planning on looking at that at some point. If it actually has a way to pick a hair based on tags or something that is pretty cool. Not sure I understand what you mean by this one. What dialogue has the problem? Might have just forgotten to set a goodbye flag on the dialogue there. The highstepping works by encumbering the player (to disable the ability to run or sprint) and then upping the players speedmult. If you have something that changes how encumbering works that might be the problem. Also as for your offer (or anyone elses) no offense taken, if you want to help point out/fix typos, rework some lines, or add more variants to some lines feel free. blahity Posted March 14 Posted March 14 @HereBeTentacles I avoid using YPS because it seemed like a pretty dense mod that does a lot but looked like a compatibility patch spiderweb. I wouldn't worry about adding a whole mod just for hair styling. Like you said showracemenu or a variety of lightweight mods cover that well enough.
