Meidosan Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Followed the installation instructions to the T, also tried out a new game to be sure. Getting NONE for female PC and getting nothing for male PC. EDIT: derped a bit there. didn't notice the "can't upload .txt files notice." Apropos.1.rar
gooser Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Followed the installation instructions to the T, also tried out a new game to be sure. Getting NONE for female PC and getting nothing for male PC Well, there is no Male PC support, right now. With the Female PC who were the partners. Please provide a Apropos0.log if you can.
xboronx Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Installed the mod now, very nice. Can't wait for the wear&tear stat effects. The descriptions also are very well done. Do you plan to expand this to include descriptions and wear&tear damage for punishment effects? Would enchance XaZ prison time, SD+ and any future punishment mods nicely too.
gooser Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Thanks. We had not thought about pillory, etc, damage. Interesting. What would the areas of the body be? Buttocks, back, legs, breasts?
Carida Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Greetings, I figured I would report. Played for about two hours and I installed the recommended microsoft thingie. And unfortunately I am still getting the none. Also an error from the Jcontainers. I am kind of at a loss as to what's wrong really. I can try a new game and see if it works there.. maybe that's the difference. I am not sure. -C
gooser Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 @carida Can you report the error from JContainers? That's new. Well, I've fixed a few bugs in the code tonight in our source code repository. Hopefully some more testing will reveal where some of the problems lie. Was your character have sex with creatures or humanoids? What kinds of creatures? Also are you still seeing "Could not read file xxx" in your user log?
xboronx Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Thanks. We had not thought about pillory, etc, damage. Interesting. What would the areas of the body be? Buttocks, back, legs, breasts? This is a tough question since i still don't understand much about coding, so i can only use my observations as player. I think most interesting would be to look at the code for the whipping animations, maybe the game can track where you were hit. It seems somewhat random where the whipmarks are applied, i have seen them on nearly every body part, but they seem to always focus on an area. If you can't find out a function where Skyrim tracks which body part got whipped a general description would be immersive too imho. But there are some other devices which are easier to assign to body parts: -Tight Bindings/restraints would let your arms and feet get numb, this should apply to most XAZ poses and especially the whole day at the market pillory from XAZ prison overhaul should result in some debuffs for some hours or a few days. Lockpicking and combat abilities should get severe mali, and in case of feet damage stamina. -The gags should do some oral damage. -The buttplugs and dildos from Devious Devices should also do anal/vaginal damage over time, especially the cruel soulgem ones. -Raping, especially by creatures, should also lead to general body damage, those bears/wolfes/sabrecats would surely accidently wound you somewhat with their claws while having their fun with you. It might be worth a consideration to include a mental damage stat for rapes, even the dragonborn should get traumatized after a severe gangrape experience. Could be an immersive way to weaken mages, reasoning they can't focus well on spellcasting for a while after a rape trauma. Finally it would be great if you could get a status report via hotkey like with RND or Sexlab aroused and you would get a few lines describing your various wear and tear states like: Your throat still hurts somewhat Your pussy is sore Your ass is burning and NEEDS rest Your body is still trembling in pain You are traumatized I just loved how harsh wear&tear from Odessa for FONV was, this turned especially stopovers in cottonwood, the fort and the fiends into an exciting immersive survival game and balanced prostitution so nicely. Your mod is already a diamond in the rough and the description system is really a great idea. Maybe i'm assuming wrong, but could users write down their own description lines if they follow the format of the .txt-files? Then there could be multiple choices for each action and eventually be like 10-20 different descriptions, where one always gets picked randomly. This would be a real immersion gem then with lots of variety, especially if some native english users with good poetry skills would add descriptions
Gumbercules Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I'm currently using the last version of SexLab Describe and have been using it for weeks. As I only play with a male PC, I'm going to hold off trying the new Apropos version. However, I'm wondering about one thing. In the notes for the new version it says: 1. Reimplemented core code to externalize most of the textual descriptions and token values into a "database" of files, read in during game play. They are not stored in any game save. Which of the following is safest for the health of my current save: 1) Just leave SL Describe in place permanently and never use SL Apropos 2) Go ahead and uninstall SL Describe and try SL Apropos when male PC support is added Thanks so much.
gooser Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 LOVE your ideas. Can't say when we'll work on the bondage/punishment stuff, but i totally agree, you shouldn't walk out of Xaz prison as if nothing happened! Yes, one of the points was to increase collaboration between the users and the mod devs. Eventually the descriptions will be on their own release cycle, once we shake out the details a little more. That will allow us to update those without necessarily updating the mod per-se. Yes, you can add as many descriptions you want into each file, and they are randomly selected.

Well, you could test #2. Wait until the MalePC support is released, then use the clean save approach to make sure all vestiges of the old SL Describe are out of the save. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/27451-clean-save/ Then install Apropos and test. If it bugs out, you always remove Apropos, reinstall Describe, and reload the old save.

If it bugs out, you always remove Apropos, reinstall Describe, and reload the old save. That sounds fine. I do want to mention that my primary concern is for my save though. I just worried from the changelog entry I included in my original post that some vestiges of the original mod would be left in the save even after disabling the .esp that might ultimately lead to instability. If we believe that uninstalling the .esp will not leave anything behind in the save, then I'm very happy to test out option #2. But if there is concern of things being left behind, I thought it might be best to just leave the original mod in place permanently so as not to orphan the data left behind. I'm usually not too skittish about uninstalling mods. I know to always follow uninstall directions when they are available and to try to make sure any scripts are stopped before disabling the .esp. I just didn't know from that one line in the changelog exactly what the ramifications would be for disabling. Thanks again.
Phelps1247 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 DON'T GET ME STARTED on NUNS! You're having nun of it!? So is there any point in re-writing things now or will future updates cause everything to be redone?
gooser Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Are u talking about your own edits to the text files?
vetaviezure Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 The nuns got the best of me . I'm going with the old version...
AlerictheNord Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Am getting the "None" bug as well. This is on a new save. However, I could not get Skyrim to run with SKSE Alpha 1.7. Skyrim runs fine with SKSE 1.6, but the Alpha 1.7 does not permit the game to start for some reason.
arrow72 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Still getting None as well. Installed the vcredist, but received missing DLL error, so had to copy missing DLL from system32 to SystemWOW64, and all seemed to work. No amount of uninstalling, repair or reinstallation would place the file where it was needed. Installed JC with NMM, no problems, installed SKSE 1.7, no problems. Installed the new framework with NMM, with goosers missing txt files put in place afterwards. Papyrus logs show that Apropos can not read the files : [02/19/2014 - 06:19:34AM] Could not read file 'Data/Apropos/db/FemalePC_male_oral.txt' Tried changing txt file from uppercase Male_Oral, to lowercase male_oral, no change. Is it perhaps a problem with 32 vs 64 bit Windows? Since I got the vcredist error?
Phelps1247 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Own edits to the text files. I can just copy them somewhere else, install the update and overwrite later right?
Carida Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 @carida Can you report the error from JContainers? That's new. Well, I've fixed a few bugs in the code tonight in our source code repository. Hopefully some more testing will reveal where some of the problems lie. Was your character have sex with creatures or humanoids? What kinds of creatures? Also are you still seeing "Could not read file xxx" in your user log? Well I"ve just noticed that there's a v54 now. So I've installed that. And I'm going to see if I still get the same error. If i do I will make note of it and tell you. And she's had sex with humans and creatures. I was playing regularly, not really testing per se, so she had regular sex with her follower (male) and then went into bleakfalls barrow to get the stone, and there was much dragur sex there. Then when she got out, attacked by a wolf by surprise (surprised me too) and then she got back to Riverwood where she had sex with Orgnar cause I hit the wrong dialogue option =_= But with all these encounters I only got None. I will try again with the new jcontainers. Hopefully different results -C
aljustineg Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 i just tried to overwrite the files you just posted and now i already have 68 i use the radiant prost tweak to test it works fine now i didnt get the none quest and about the system some words are missing like the (npcname) insert his cock into your blank and also what is this player arousal :0 and enjoyment:0 and how am i suppose to know my status on wear and tear?
Aliris Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 While I'm not an expert on this, I think that either Describe or Apropos is safe to uninstall/reinstall as needed, because they don't have any persistent running scripts that might be lingering around, nor are adding or altering any of the physical landscape that might cause trouble, etc. This of course assumes use of a mod manager, as cleaning up individual files may prove a bit tricky!
nutluck Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 i just tried to overwrite the files you just posted and now i already have 68 i use the radiant prost tweak to test it works fine now i didnt get the none quest and about the system some words are missing like the (npcname) insert his cock into your blank and also what is this player arousal :0 and enjoyment:0 and how am i suppose to know my status on wear and tear? Wear and tear just tracks the number of times right now. Wear and Tear is still in early alpha stage. There is currently no debuffs or downsides to it.
psikochik Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I had the "none" error as well as the missing MSVCP110.dll. Using the x86 package vs x64 fixed it. Check your system to see which you need. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2019667 Keep up the good work!
ronttu Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I have the "none" error as well, and when starting skse, I get the mscvp110.dll error, but skyrim starts fine after I "ok" that, and skse is running as every other skse mod works as they should. Installing either one of the vcredist packages didn't remove the error message, and while checking on the 'net, there seems to be some sort of workaround with directory permissions which I haven't tested. Since everything else works fine, I'm not too keen to go poking around system directory permissions, though.
fiewiel Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 To sum this up: If I unpack and find in the /db directory only 44 files, it means I have an incomplete installation. I need 68. Is this correct? The correct /db package youll find on page 20 of this thread as downloadable attachment. I see a couple of scripts, but no faq or guide how to uninstall.
