when i use this mod i have some problems, it says stuff about access to non-existent object with id and the id changes based on the tat my character wears and says there is also the problem with jcontainers. anyone know a fix? did i install it wrong?

The same thing happens to me. At first I thought it was SLSF Fame Comments, I deleted it. But the problem remained. I decided it was Zaz, I deleted it too. In the end I installed SlaveTats on a clean game, and immediately JContainers64.log started spamming these errors.

I'm having an issue where when I apply a slave tat my character turns purple, I have the texture installed so it's not happening because it's missing and when I go into race menu it shows that a BLANK overlay is equipped, when I switch that overlay to something different the purple goes away and the slave tat then appears as it should. Anyone else dealt with this before? it's definitely something on my end because this didn't used to happen. 🤔

I'm playing SSE v. 1.6.1130 and using SlaveTats v. 1.3.9. And I use Vortex mod manager. I can see all my tats in the slavetats menu. I have 38 body slots available.

You might want to do a search in your "My documents" folder and your game directory to make sure you only have one copy of skee64.ini. My skee64.ini is in "...Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins". I made a backup and pasted it on a different drive where it could not possibly affect gameplay.

Here are my settings in skee64.ini for body slots:

After I changed the skee64.ini I deployed mods in Vortex. Probably not necessary, but it doesn't hurt.

When I open the Slavetats menu I can see all the slots, but I have to go to different pages - only 12 will show up on a page. The page menu is at the top of the tattoo page.

I don't know if there's a page feature in LE, it's been way too long since I played Oldrim. I hope this helps.

@Seeker999

I think this was a reply to me, thanks for showing me a pic of how it should look in the MCM. So, I did all of that, I edited the skee64.ini, just as you did, and I'm also using version 1.3.9 of Slavetats. I noticed in my MCM that I don't have Select page: showing up. So I'm guessing it's still not detecting the changes I made to the ini. This might just be a Mod Organizer 2 thing, sadly.. I can't figure out why the slots aren't updating otherwise.

This has likely been asked before but I haven't found a good answer/it doesn't exist. Is there a mod or capability with slavetats to assign tats to npc's without adding them manually in game? Essentially what I'm after is the ability to list NPC's out of game, assign tats to them and then when I come across them in game they have the assigned tattoos.

Is it possible to lock/disable slots in slavetats? Would like to set it up so i have a couple slots that slavetats won't mess with when it refreshes. Apologies if this has been answered before, but i couldn't turn up anything on it.

SlaveTats will automatically disable any slot that is occupied by an overlay it didn't place, so you could for example use the racemenu to add an overlay, and Slave Tats won't touch that slot.

There's also a programming interface to lock tattoos, for mods that interface with Slave Tats. That requires some Papyrus coding to use, though.

Thanks for the info. Helped me narrow it down a bit. Think it was apropos2 or something else messing with slavetats. Manage to find a workaround that isn't super finicky for what i was trying to do thankfully.

Am I right in thinking that this problem and the accompanying console spam will never be solved?

Yep, there's no way to check whether the file contains valid JSON except to try loading it. That said, if you just create the file and put {} in it, then it will contain valid JSON.

Thank you for sharing the tutorial. If you are willing, could you please share the modified PEX file? I have tried compiling the file many times, but for some reason, my CK keeps showing errors.

It seems to be related to line 305, where it tries to get SlaveTatsHairColors from 0x6774 and fails because it's no longer there after the forms were compacted. I don't think this is doing anything other than breaking a feature that I didn't remember being there in the first place, but figured it was worth a report.

I have a Problem with Slavetats and  my Skyrim SE,  : Apparently an interaction problem with Salvetats and Racemenu

After loading the Savegames, the message comes that Slavetats Racemenu,.NiOverride... are requierd  , but I have Racemenu SE installed.

In the mod Mannager in the game (MCM) I can select slave tats, but there everything is empty, only the Add/remove button is available, when I click there, the message comes as above, it is not installed racemenu.

Have installed:

Slavetats SE

slavetats tattoos pack

CBBE

SK SE

JContainers

and other mods...

can any help me ?

and i dont have the option in Racemenu  : Bodypaint, Hand paint ... only Makeup i can see, its that normal ?

Are you using MO2 to launch the game? I'm also on SE and I tried editing the skee64.ini multiple times and it never takes. Good to know it worked for one of us, though

I found the fix to my problem. For anyone who is using Linux and MO2, in order to have Racemenu recognize the changes to the overlays in the skee64 ini you'll need this mod. I'm using Skyrim SE v1.5.97 so I used the 5.3 version of that mod.

For SE/AE, are there any mods or anything one can implement to increase the number of overlay slots beyond the cap of 12 for Slavetats?

When entering the game it says: SlaveTats requires NiOverride, RaceMenu, or SKEE. I have installed all the required mods for Skyrim SE. All mods are for the correct version of the game.
