Hello, I have a bit of an issue with Slavetats that I cant pin down.

On custom followers, upon loading the game, tattoos will sometimes just not be visible anymore despite being registered as applied in the MCM. I can reapply them on a follower temporarily by going into the MCM and changing the tattoo on the actor but it is only temporary till they disappear again. On vanilla followers it works without an issue. I dont think its a texture problem since custom followers that use my textures and meshes share this problem. Any help would be appreciated

May I ask why I encounter CTD when reading archives after installing the latest version of slavetas?

Has anyone added more slots while also using MO2? I tried adding slots by editing the skee64.ini and changed every number of overlay for each part to 12. So, then ingame in MCM I should see 12 slots for each body part in Slavetats, right? It's still just 3 for all of them. Is this a MO2 problem? I'm using 1.5.97 SE Skyrim and the 1.3.9.7 Slavetats

ADDENDUM:

The PC body slots being labeled "external" has "gone" and they are now accessible to the PC but slots are still limited to 12 only in Slavetats. It is no big deal as I am sure that SCOE etc. will use the others. 

Did you ever find the fix for this? I changed the number of slots in skee.ini to 12 but ingame the MCM still only shows 3 slots.

Yes, I did but I cannot remember just how. MY humble apologies

IIRC I had so many problems with slavetats that I ceased to use any of the new YPS loads and instead used the original basic LE>>SE conversion of YPS which I still use..

I also dumped all SCOE file versions in favour of SLACS and that may have been relevant and visibly I saw no difference. That is my best guess.

Question, 

 

How do you layer the tat so that it covers the butt skin texture? I'm using photoshop and wondering how you split the image in order to make it seem like its covering the full butt, since the skin is all divided between the legs, etc.

Hey, I'm new to modding Skyrim and i want to add tattoos to my characters. but my MCM is reading it, it says it runs. but no tattoos ever appear. the only overlay i have is the nordic UI SkyUI . everything else is textures, lighting, and animations.

You might need to increase the number of overlay slots in skee.ini

 

If other sources of overlays are taking up all of the available slots, SlaveTats won't be able to apply the tattoos.

 SlaveTats is now registering new NPCs again on my save with the above-mentioned issue.

 Any way to update the number of available slots on existing save? Assumed 12 was plenty. Between YPS and SLACS, was proven wrong. 

Racemenu properly recoginzes 24 slots after editing the ini, but slavetats does not update.

Hello! So I have a message that tats are hidden by equipment. Is it possible to make them always revealed/shown?

 

And for Skyrim SE as I understand there is no possibility to add layers for more tats, is it true?

So anyone with Androolspetplay who has this issue where the new version suddenly stops working with it. Try this to fix it go to your skyrim directory than /data/textures/actor/character/slavetats here you will find all your installed packs. I noticed that each Androol pack I had installed had a .JavaScript file extension so change that extension to .json and than go back into game and update the slavetat pack list button on the select chacter page of the mcm. Exit the menus to the game than go back to the slavetats mcm and you should now see that slavetats is once again registering this/these packs. 

Also using the SSE version if it wasn't made obvious by my post do not know if this issue exists in LE or not.

 

I just want to necro this post because I just moved to SE/AE and noticed that despite installing them, a couple Androol packs were missing (Elf Meet Orc was the one I was looking for).  So I found the quoted post and looked, and the pack file names in the aforementioned directories were .js instead of .json.  Quick rename and then hit the Add/Remove Tattoos button in the MCM and they were available again.  :)

I followed the instructions, but still cannae get these 2 overlays to show up, other tats work just fine, it juts these 2.

 

I've seen overlays been used before, maybe theres something different I need to do to make them work?

Its the last thing I wanna try before making a whole skin set for my custom follower xD

Not really, on my SE version of the game it just randomly worked at some point, idk why. LE is limited to 12 slots iirc.

Are you using MO2 to launch the game? I'm also on SE and I tried editing the skee64.ini multiple times and it never takes. Good to know it worked for one of us, though

I'm playing SSE v. 1.6.1130 and using SlaveTats v. 1.3.9. And I use Vortex mod manager. I can see all my tats in the slavetats menu. I have 38 body slots available.

 

You might want to do a search in your "My documents" folder and your game directory to make sure you only have one copy of skee64.ini. My skee64.ini is in "...Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins". I made a backup and pasted it on a different drive where it could not possibly affect gameplay.

 

Here are my settings in skee64.ini for body slots:

After I changed the skee64.ini I deployed mods in Vortex. Probably not necessary, but it doesn't hurt.

 

When I open the Slavetats menu I can see all the slots, but I have to go to different pages - only 12 will show up on a page. The page menu is at the top of the tattoo page.

I don't know if there's a page feature in LE, it's been way too long since I played Oldrim. I hope this helps.

I am having issues with Body Tattoos slot 1 and 2 being grayed out.  all others are accessible but these two are grayed out and even after adding some packs I cant interact.  help please

Add more slots? some mods like spank that ass reserve slots in Slave tats for their overlays
