Yo, can you do a riding sequence with quicktime events with COCKTECH?

I was thinking on doing some quest on getting the player their own sapient pearwood chest, and a "break in ride" would be awesome.

Like going a certain path and randomly swaying and the player has to press a key not to fall off (preferably 2-4 keys). I'd even make animations for the humanoid rider.

 

I can do it, but we'd have a limit of 3 keys without SKSE.

 

unfortunately, though COCKTECH knows no bounds, skyrim itself is rather limited in this.

I would prefer a few variations to throw around maybe some out of stone others leather texture big small but absolutely one diamond/see through small pretty much just looking like a pot

 

Scripts almost finished for Cohen and Sam vimes questlines and should find out about the post office later this weekend so first 5-6 hours are starting to get laid into.

 

If anyone wants to make a custom goblin race.... otherwise I am lazy and will just use half sized orcs for now, can always swap them later if someone wants to step in and help

The dungeon designing isnt going too great frankly xD I have the layouts and ideas Drawn out but working in the CK has been a pain in the $#s. I guess its because Im still not comfortable working with it. I have indeed worked on something for hours and rage deleted everything xD

 

On a side note my experience in 3dsmax has had a way better learning curve. If you would like it then the moment my skillset permits I can make some custom armor for the world.

So if I can ragequit the dungeons I can focus my full attention to working on that. Maybe that way we can fix the texture problem also

As for dungeons I don't blame you, I am thinking of having ryuuji do a tutorial of if nothing else just how he builds them cause magnificent is a understatement for what he does

And as a note I am always (When not sleeping or out of the house once a month when they take the leash off) available as a resource tool via skype or email. I can walk anyone through as much as I know how the CK nifscope importing, texturing in nifscope etc, my 3ds max knowledge is a little lacking these days however and I mostly fubar with already created things but never hurts to ask

Funny thing I'm gonna tell you now because I see how excited you are for creating this mod with which I wish you the best of luck. But some time ago, you made a very, very offensive post towards Emma's Vilja mod and here is the irony: Terry Pratchett himself wrote a lot of the lines for the original mod. Yes, the man himself was a fan of Oblivion where Vilja first came to be and he wrote her dialogue and played with her. So next time you throw insults at someone or something, think twice, because you just might be spitting in your own mouth. Cheers!

The mod itself is very very well done, the voice itself made me uninstall it and bleach my ears for weeks

I would rather play skyrim while being molested by a elk than to play it with vilja following me due to that voice

I know damn good and well what pratchetts involvement was and I never really said anything horrendously bad about the writing or the scripting for the mod itself, I believe I actually made comments on how superior it was in comparison to my own. The voice however would make me kill my own mother

You are clearly out of touch with reality. What I gave was an advice. There is no post of mine in any of your threads that says anything remotely negative about your mods, it was actually the opposite, I praised you earlier and gave you advice back when you made DB1.

I for one can agree with DD on the Vilja mod being massively too irritating to use due to the voice acting - I had heard about this amazing Oblivion companion a few years ago - so fucking amazing it was that Terry 'The Ubermeister' P  or 'T the U the P' for short, got involved because it just shat so much awesome he could not ignore it - wow I just had to try it out - who wouldn't?

 

So there was I, loading it up for Oblivion, full of hope, mind full of ponies and rainbows, and then she spoke... and kept on speaking... 'Oh please shut up' I thought within moments...nope she kept on going in a just truly terrible voice, that sounded kinda pathetic and ill and laden with stupid all at the same time in one queasy package...

 

Buh..buh...but this is an awesome mod I told myself!  Everyone says it is so, hang in there!  So I did, and I travelled a bit with this queasy nublet following me about making me want to end her existence in an altruistic end of suffering, for both her and me, was my thinking.  Rather than do that, being the lovely, fluffy person that I am, I had to quit the game.  I uninstalled.  I breathed a sigh of relief. Wow, I thought, that was truly awful... and next time I started the game up and she was not there, it was like a new beginning.. even the morning sun over Cyrodil seemed brighter...

 

Now of course, being a bit of a mod author myself I can appreciate the effort and scope and execution of the mechanics of that mod - very well done I have to say and zero problems there, but when you get make a follower, no matter how well executed the scripts/code/dialogue, if their voice wants you make to run into the sea to escape the pain, it's a problem.

 

Of course, this is a subjective view, as are DD's previously posted views, purely subjective - he posts his opinions and that is all. Some people may think the voice acting is just divine darling, a veritable masterpiece of breadth and tone - others sadly like myself found it just painful, really, really painful.   The fact that T the U the P got involved in neither here nor there - he liked it, got involved, great.  The fact that DD hated Vilja for much the same reasons I did does not reflect on T the U the P in any way, nor does he say the mod is terrible in execution from what I have seen, just expressing a somewhat colourful description of how the voice acting grated on him personally.

 

So, am I an apologist for DD - guess it sounds like it, but thought would chip in and say he is not the only one who really did not like 'that' mod, and this is not a reflection on the mod author, the VA or T the U the P.  DD just does express himself in somewhat colourful ways, being somewhat exhuberant in nature1  so I would not take his statements at purely face value - i.e. something like 'wow that made me want to punch through that guy's head' is not to be taken as a literal indication that DD actually does want to really attempt this, or would even attempt this given the chance,  nor that he has an expectation that his pale, stringy arms could in fact puncture right through a human cranium via frontal fist impact.

 

So all in all, I guess my message is, imo Vilja did suck, big time, and chill the fuck out.

Oh crap I think Skyrim does not have rabbits at all , only haunches for stew you find in bandit caves from rabbits you never actually see - in which case a fox will do instead, but prefer a rabbit if we can get one of them

to be honest i just know about the bunnies because you have an entry in the escape-menu (your game statistics) that counts your number of "bunnies slaughtered" ... after noticing it i made it one of my hobbies to waste every bunny i encounter on my travels

Yup, I've got well over 100 slaughtered bunnies on my current character. And there will surely be MORE! DEATH TO BUNNIES!

 

Just for laughs I spawned a rabbit in Whiterun then set it's scale ridiculously high. Just so I could have a Bunnyzilla protecting the home turf, you know? Vampires dare not attack Whiterun with that monster running around.
