Well I say, just a update really and if I can ever get a signed book from Pratchett Khia is the firs to receive it

 

We have full functioning camera controls

IE in game cinematics are a go, can do minigames, transfer player controls and camera view to other actors, pan for some cool ass assassins creed style city views the works. 

 

That only took hours but it opened up so many possibilitys with the way we handled the scripting. From elevators, to fully randomized moving platforms in a dungeon requiring split second jumps etc to make it around.

 

Also we have begun theorizing how to script for the ecksian mage tower and that is going to crash people much to our delight

 

And full major outline for the Ecksian questline has been hashed out, you get to run for prime minister, and to win you need votes, to get votes you do quests for the islands residents. GG when you win though rofl

 

 

 

I will start majorly working on the Cohen quest line come Monday and will probably have a script ready to go by then as well. We almost have the full dungeon worked out where he saves bethan etc. So anyone interested in voicing bethan speak up now!

 

 

Also... fuck it feet to the grindstone time, I am sorry but we will NOT feature Allune and Dhalia in this mod as it will be a standalone as "Skyrim: Discworld" I still have to inform all relevant parties and expect to see dhalia and allunes VA's voicing some characters in it

This decision was probably one of the harder ones for me personally, but as the overall arch of this mod started moving I have been having my doubts about including it in with Dragon Break. Don't worry too much there will probably be a 3rd Dragon break in the future and if there isnt rest assured I will always use Kristyn and Kate as long as they will work with me

That is all for now, and before anyone goes NO USE DHALIA ETC, don't think I am not the biggest proponent of this and I weighed the pros and cons and the cons to using them won out. There will be many a companion in Discworld and hell take dhalia and allune with you, it just didn't seem right to put them in as mains, took me two weeks to come to that decision lol

Well as someone who has not played either Dragon Break so far, all I can say is 'Ok mate' from what I saw of the trailers for DB1/2 it did seem an odd choice to make the 3rd 'Discworld' heh as opposed to standalone.

 

And yes I do plan to try out parts 1/2 but I spend all my time modding now rather than playing the game - got to level 10 again several months ago after a restart and just ended up with my nose in the CK again heh - guess that's the lifecycle of Skyrim for some people.

 

Anyhoo - crazy idea time - your mudcrab - not sure if feasible but could be animated as a follower, mammoths and all (i.e. just nifs added to mudcrab nif etc) so you have the discworld literally following you about so you can turn around, activate and dive into the new worldspace whenever you wanted (and somehow exit (spell?) to come back to Tamriel?) 

 

Oh and I have about the 1st 20 or so books 1st edition signed by the TP meister (well not the first four or five since I len't them to some fuckers who then nabbed off with them) - Jelly?

 

P.S Also have to say to Vioxsis - your sword in the 1st trailer vid looks awesome :D

 

P.P.S Depending on how crazy you are - you could make this a complete Standalone - in the sense you generate a new char in Discworld, so rather than a mod, it's like a seperate game using Skyrim engine and loaded as a mod - again just blue sky thinking, but may be possible in CK... Live another life type thing, except start as LVL1 in Ankh Morpork or whereever....   Part of my irl job is to generate crazy ideas, so don't hate too much :P

ps: concerning numeration of the db-series...

Rok I luv ya, you know that, but making Discworld DB3 after DB1 and DB2 leads to some expectations... like continuation of storyline, plot development, character development, closure etc - This is like having Startrek by JJ Abrams starting with StarTrek 1 (Kirk as recuit), followed by StarTrek 2 (Kirk as maturing but troubled captain) followed by StarTrek 3 (Conan the Barbarian everyone! Wayhayyy!) - Oh we'll get back to Kirk in Startrek IV, don't worry...

 

Yeah. Umm....

 

Best to divorce the two plots, make seperate entities of em both, and people will just go 'Wow I love JJ.Abrams movies' or even *gasp* 'DDProductions mods' without having the 'WTF just happened - did this guy forget his meds? ' moment.

Congratulations to your manhood's - should be able to make some awesome trailers now using your cock-tech (there you go, I invented a new term, let's see if it goes mainstream ;) )

 

And yeah Papyrus is extremely aggravating, not to say poorly implemented (what with scripts left running even after mods being uninstalled due to being included in the actual game save files - euwwwww, nasty)

and I think I like cock-tech, I'm going to turn all my scripts into Khia's cock-tech library

 

 

EDIT: if anyone here's good at texturing, and whatnot, I have a 3D modeller guy who's chucking in stuff for this mod, but isn't keen on making his own textures, so we're looking for someone to play color in :3

Okeydoke - had a play with DEATH and modified his skeleton so that two handed weapons would be mounted upside down on his back - the aim being that when wearing the scythe, the blade is over his head rather than the hilt - issuette I currently have is although it appears fine and dandy in CK, when he is placed in game, it appears the game flips the weapon back to normal position (i.e. hilt up) almost immediately...  so anyone got any bright ideas?

you could just alter the model's positioning variables within the nif?

Fixing the bone in the nif doesn't help much if the animation flips said bone again ingame.
