3BA Chest physics not working when wearing outfits (Updated title)

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

So a lot of my previous issues have been resolved. Though despite reinstalling and redoing everything, the outfits aren't working as expected.

I'm using:

Vortex

3BA CBBE

CBPC

HDT-SMP

When not wearing outfits, the physics work as expected. The chest and butt jiggles.

But when wearing any vanilla overhauled outfit or newly added outfits by mods, the chest doesn't jiggle.

The outfit overhauls I tried were:

3BA Vanilla Clothes and Armorhttps://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/51610

CBBE 3BA Vanilla Outfits Redonehttps://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/109194

Vanilla SMP Clothing - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/82656

Currently using the second one (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/109194)

ORIGINAL POST (Left for reference)

I've been trying to mod Skyrim on Steam again since my attempt to mod Skyrim GOG didn't go so well.

But trying to get the mods for the newest version of Skyrim has been challenging.

I also don't know how to gather logs that can help pinpoint the causes of said issues

You have the wrong version of SoS. Or look for a SoS dll for the latest version of Skyrim, or use a version of SoS without a dll (doesn't work with hermaphrodite) or try New Gentleman (I don't know if it works with hermaphrodite)

So I tried downloading SoS, though it still has the issue

I'm not using any hermaphrodite mod as far as I know

You need one, the one that matches your game version. I have 640, and it works fine. You most likely have 1170, I can't say anything about its performance, look at the comments to these plugins. These are only dll plugins, you still need the main mod. After installing it, in the skse folder, replace the dll plugin with the one that matches your game version.

Honestly? Get rid of SOS. It's outdated and pretty much in maintenance mode, if you can even call it that. I personally switched to The New Gentleman when I recently got back to modding last month (after YEARS of a break) and I didn't have any issues getting schlongs to work in any Sexlab scene. I'm also using the latest updated version of Skyrim AE on Steam.

TNG is a good replacement. But also knowing the version of your game would help a lot. Then you wouldn't be asking which file to download when all the files are named after different game version. It's just a matter of matching the numbers in the file name with the version of your game.

I am using the latest version of Skyrim after accidentally letting it update.

So these issues are very new and starting over with a lot of mods now outdated (like arousal) is also very new to me. I'm also quite forgetful how all of this even set up before.

"latest version" is ####, then you see a bunch of files named after different versions. You pick #### because it matches your version of the game and use that file to replace the DLL from SOS. That's how it works.

No idea about arousal, there are like 4 different versions of SL aroused and not all of them contain a DLL which is the critical part that requires specific files depending on the version of your game.

I see I assumed too much. My bad.

Found it, 1.6.1170

So, I switched to New Gentlemen without any error pop up message

I updated by Bodyslider as it turned out to be an older version

But I'm still having a weird blue mesh of the structures around my character, and the character is, well, invisible for males and headless for female khajiits.

Bodyslide is one of those mods which has to the version made for your version of Skyrim.

And did you check to see if the version of RM is the one you need for your version of Skyrim?

An update, so I uninstalled/reinstalled Skyrim, did a quick review of the mods, and it looks like it's working fine. Just did a few tests, the meshes are fixed, the characters look normal, looks good and all

The only issue is the vanilla clothing isn't doing any physics. I'm using the Alternate start mod, so all I could tell at the moment that prison rags isn't moving.

I removed the clothes, and the physics show they are indeed working.

I'm using 3BA and HDT. I believe they are working correctly, because even the HDT hair physics also works as intended.

The outfits mods I tried are:

- 3BA Vanilla Clothes and Armor

- CBBE 3BA Vanilla Outfits Redone

Am I doing something wrong when using Body Slider? Or is it because these aren't the mods to go with?

Let me know if I need to provide more info

Do you have all the requirements for CBBE 3BA installed? And all their requirements?

Do you mean HDT-SMP?

Yes, all 5 of them for CBBE 3BA

That's right HDT-SMP

Not something I've ever used, sorry.

Obviously not all clothes have HDT-SMP effects. You can see that when building in BodySlide. Nothing you can do.

There's not a way to get both to work at the same time, I assume? Or that it's a bit tricky?

Both of them have physics, so If I use 3BA alone, the clothes would all have physics then?

3BA is a physics-capable body (shape), it is not the physics. Your options are HDT-SMP and CBPC. These can be used together. From what I understand, people use the SMP for the hair and outfits and CBPC for the rest.
