just to know, there is premium in teso?

If you are asking if there is payment then yes, you pay for the box and that gives you 30 days play then the normal monthly price for a subscription mmo.

I have re-installed for the stress weekend test to see if I feel any different about it, trying not to have too high expectations.

Honest opinion:

The first time i logged in the beta i was pleased with the improvment of the dunmer faces.......Then i create my character pandering to have between my hands a sort of skyrim online...Or at least.. an Elder scroll esperience....

After the atrocius beginning i landed in the first island....And it was......Bland....terrible bland....the graphic was good enough....But where are the bench where i can sit?....Where are the shelf..filled with books?.....The pot to steal?..... ....

Well then i forced myself to play until i reached morrowind.... i was pandering and then.....

WHAT THE:...... is this morrowind!?!?

They did not just lack an opportunity... i don't want to spolier but... morrowind don't look morrowind at all...its just a zone where the city are dark building between forests of mushroom tal like mountains....Where mob are trown direct on your face...At the point that if you kill a group of creature they will respawn around you......

And the combat? TERRIBLE animations.....ugly.....the magic?....i was wondering if was possible dumb down more the magic after Skyrim.....Well they did it... Now magic are just stupid magic ability you toggle with the numeric buttons....and if you want cast something with your hands you are FORCED to use a staff....

My honest opinion?

This game is not just crap....is also a Scam....

Worth for a subscrition fee?...

*a long laugh*

Sorry for my english but i just wanted to warn you all.....

This betatest was the bigger waste of time of my life...

Except that most of the people who get into betas aren't the one who are there to test the game it's always the little shits who just want to play it first before everyone else, then they bitch their brains out and tell everyone it sucks when they find out that it has issues.

All I can say to those types of people is. NO SHIT it has issues it's a BETA TEST the whole point is for you to TEST the FUCKING thing and tell them what needs fixed!!!

Beuh, that's harsh! I feel sad now as I was doing a Beta thingie test for them :(

Because it is! Having participated in beta it's another mmo with TES name with skyrim's UI slapped on it.

People should've known that ZENIMAX doesn't have the greatest track record when it comes to mmos... and they think people will PAY to play that!? Pfft! (The biggest travesty was that I couldn't mod it to death! I swear, I love that modders make TES games a lot better than what the original developers intended and much more immersive, you know you suck at what you do when modifiers make your game better for you.)

Well, that's why we're still really impressed none of us modders were ever contacted... It's a teenage boy attitude from Beth (cause they know we exists, come on!)  where you can't admit people have bettered you with no budget. Gish, I guess it should be really hard!

I once played a mmorpg for about a month, probably the saddest month of my entire fucking life, during which I've met a lot of sad people - either retarded teenagers or 30+ years old no-lives with sad stories about domestic problems to tell. Just thinking about it makes me very, very sad. If I'm about to play something-rpg online ever again it needs to be nwn style, otherwise you'd have to pay me in order to force me to play or kidnap me Al-Qaeda style because I'd rather play DA2 with my feets.

BTW, Those TESO gameplay videos have some very unpleasant, telekinetic effect on the sandwiches I've just eaten, though I'm genuinely shocked that something so bland and generic can exist in our universe - it's hell of a achievement, if not a miracle. Someone should inform the Vatican, maybe someone will become saint over this.

Close the topic. NOTHING can be added to that! We're don here.

Imagine a MMO, that completely allows third party software and therefore modding, similar to SIMs, just in TES style. THIS would actually draw me back into this scene maybe.

Star Trek Online allows you to mod it to the degree that you can actually make custom missions that others in the community can play.

I only played STO for a little bit, as something was missing to keep me there, but I was impressed by how they had that feature. They even have a mod of the week or something where it gives you some kind of bonus for completing it, and the mods they select are voted on somehow by the community.

STO's been around for 3 or 4 years now, somehow flying under the radar but holding onto some devout players.

Also, on the topic of TESO, I'm assuming that the beta experience isn't going to change from the final release that much, since we're so close to release, and all I can say is I won't be playing TESO after having had the chance to beta it.

this is such a fucking depressing nightmare under the line... those bastards simply sold tes out :(

hopefully some more of us look for the bigger projects in developement and try to help them out... and besides our hope from "skywind" i just stumbled upon another army of real nice and organized heroes...

maybe some of you join me and the war against shitty new elder scroll games by going full force on modding the last fuck out of skyrim? ... "Beyond Skyrim", look it up... "dark creations" for the win (i hope)

I guess I don't really understand the hate for ESO. I played the beta, sure. The 1st one was terrible but the 2nd was really smooth. I mean sure, there were a couple of annoying bugs but it is a beta after all. I tend not to judge a game in beta too harshly. The content looks fun and the story interesting. It' s the things I don't know about that have me concerned, like world PVP, end game, and the marriage system. I'll probably play until I hit level cap. That is when I really decide if a game is for me, when the story is done and all that is left is gameplay.

its about what you expect from tes, xenic. tes and mmo is like mixing pizza with icecream. both my have their special kind of flavor, but if you put them into a blender the result most likely makes you vomit.

if you didnt play the older games before you might not understand why this is a major clusterfuck for fans of the franchise though...

9/10 Voice actors. Just because John Cleese

Rest of the game 1.5/10

It just seems to me that MMOs dont work these days, they always end up rushed and unfinished. (And dont get me started on the microtransaction trend in singleplayer games. PLZ STAPH)

Companies never understand right ? A MMO after another, always going after the Blizzard model and never realizing they're bound to mediocrity at best, and to complete failure if they screw up the most minor things in the gameplay. AION, Warhammer Online, LOTRO (lmao),  Age of Conan online ... so much time consumed on those fancy named things, to be abandoned at the end, and seeing only hardcore die hard fan playing it once a week.

It's sad, really, and it's going to be even more sad when, just like the dozens last online games, TESO's going to turn into another f2p nonsense.

SOOOOOOOOO... I happen to have an extra beta key here (perks of being a journalist)... who wants to dive in the travesty that is TESO?

ill take it, but i expect Full healthcare and hazard pay XD as these threads indicate a high level of MMO fail

edit

also has anyone considered how this will play out console its proably the first big name MMO to appear on consoles

My husband called it "World of Warcraft - Reboot".

His words about the beta and what is on the development forums are:

"PVP Oriented pile of dung."
"It is basically putting a face-lift on what every other MMO has already built"

"Pidgeon Holing players into a Faction, based on the race they choose.... Just like playing WoW again."

"Who says a Dark Elf can't want to be an Imperial?  Why Can't an Orc?"

Basically, in a nut shell, he hated the beta but understood it was only there to test things.   He did and wrote up his feedback... But when he did, over 50% of the survey was for PvP...

What really made his (and my) mind up, was reading the Developer Forums for ESO.... For the price they are asking for the game, the additional costs for other things, all it provides is a Fantasy MMO-FPS for players and writes it's own Lore to support the Developer's decision to pidgeon hole players into Race/Factions and delivers only basic choices that essentially put the player in a proverbial "Rat in a Maze" grouping.... Unless, all you want to do is PvP.

I never bend over backwards for any company. Even if Beth had made this (they would never release such a piece of garbage), and not Zenimax ... the game still sucks.

I was in the beta, and I can tell you here and now, why they are not releasing more info/screens/videos, even when release is so close. I can also bet there will be NO open beta and if there is, it will not last long. They don't want you to see how bad it is, because it is *really* fucking bad. I am not making funny.

The animations ALONE make this game terrible. It almost reminds me of that DnD game released back in like 04 or 05 or some shit. When i used my bow, it felt like I was shooting wet spaghetti and dual wielding felt as if i was swinging two soaping wet towels.

The combat is some STRANGE TES/MMO hybrid style and it .. it ... uuuggh. You have no idea. Have fun forcing yourself to "like" this. I understand brand loyalty/fanboyism and defending ones purchase -- but no. Just no.

This is nothing about judging a book by its cover. I put a good 4~5 hours (and don't start with the straw-man argument that I need to put more hours in to fully realize it's "awesomeness" -- I'm 30 years old and have been playing MMO's since Ultima Online. I buy and play and TRY 95% P2P MMO's that are released, as I don't like F2P - I know from the moment I start the game, and put at least an hour or two in, if it's going to be engaging or not) into the game and could just not go any more.

It was the first time I stopped playing AND uninstalled before the beta was even over.

This game won't even last as long as Star Wars did.

hopefully more folks check out "Beyond Skyrim" ... and no, i dont mean the crappy mod on nexus... i mean the project from "Dark Creations".

though itll still take a while, theres no alpha or beta yet. then again, its a maaaaassive project, split into provinces, and by that i mean ALL OF TAMRIEL!!! ... elsweyr, highrock, blackmarsh,.... all provinces are designed by really amazing landscapers, theres questwriters there, voice actors, creature designers (ive seen some impressive stuff) ...basically all you need to kick massive ass.

a couple of the landscapes look simply breathtaking, i had the honor to take a look at a couple of developement screenshots, parts of what theyve done already, and fuck me, they really know what theyre doing. a lot of modders support the project, a couple of talents that werent known to me before (but made me go like "wow, holy shit, cant wait to game that thing!"), but also pretty famous ones gave permissions for using some of their stuff.

and when it comes to my most beloved orcs, they just found a real orc-gear-maniac recently ... ... me :sleepy: ... and im getting better at my work

i will also most likely work together with a texture-pro, im just waiting for the landscapers to get a little bit further in their claims, until then i decided to finish a couple of armors and weapon projects in my holidays to have even more for them to pick. basically they can have whatever the fuck they want from my mods, im also frequently checking out their requests, after all im their latest "atronach forge" member ... *looks proud*

basically i just wanna tell you guys n chicks 3 things.

first, fuck teso.

second, watch out for "dark creations" "beyond skyrim".

third, if you have some sparetime, and happen to be a modder (no porn stuff, regular things) then you should check it out and join the fun ;)

cheers :)

It is really sad that they can't make "the" game as well as they make a "trailer" for the game.

or at the very least put as much thought into the game as they did the one minute trailer.

It's like looking at a bunch of city workers leaning on shovels drinking beer while they are supposed to be working on the street and thinking "your tax dollars at work".

Only with this it's your hard earned money you spent on there last game at work, you get the same sick feeling and it isn't any easier to swallow.

I agree with the meaning of your post but your comparison is retarded. Try to do their job, only then are you publicly allowed to make stylistic devices with it, until then it'll only make you look like a snobbish moron.

Please read this on an informative tone, I saw no other ways to put it and I've tried hard.

Once I've played Vindictus/Mabi Heroes I wouldn't go back to any point&click MMO ( WoW is a long forgotten and dead by me ).

Game combat is what kept me attached to this game , this game had many flaws like "korean grind"  and community idiotism , sadly .

But I never had more fun in game like this with swift & action packed battle where you have to press dodge not some statistics tabs and their percentagens.

A game where player skills were more important than gear. ( dem bosses )

Well TERA was decent too but kinda boring.

And TESO seems to be another boring MMO. I'll give it a try . . . after f2p treatment.

To be honest, it'll be like playing an unmodded Skyrim, except with a ruined experience due to a billion people everywhere breaking immersion - even in sealed crypts (there's no instancing whatsoever). Beat it in a few days and then... well, there's no modding so that's out. All you're left with is a PvP endgame with their world renowned clunky combat.

It would do decently as a buy to play + cash shop, but it'll fail hardcore trying to use the payment model they chose.

Actually, I take that back. You aren't going to beat it in a few days. It's more of a grinder than the hardcore Korean grinders. After about 40 hours of play you might be something like level 6, and you'll be broke because nothing has loot and the merchants are extremely expensive.

Note to husband: The focus of that particular beta event was to test PvP, not to dick around and try out the game, which is why the survey was largely PvP questions... that was that test's purpose.

They made that pretty clear with their Goals they posted for that beta which were all PvP oriented goals.

... can you really imagine... fighting your way through a nordic ruin ... with a group of 10 fellows? ... the doors will be gigantic, the enemies come in groups, no surprise moment, no thrill, just another boring-as-fuck-slay-all-stuff-you-see-game.
