It doesn't matter when I download it is ALWAYS slow. 80% of the time when I select a server it doesn't start downloading, so I gotta refresh, it can do this 4 - 5 times before it actually starts downloading. Absolutely ridiculous. And now they are supporting ALL pc games? It's going to be impossible to download anything soon the way they are going. I dread having to download from the Nexus now because it is such a hassle. Nexus Mod Manager doesn't login anymore either. What the hell are those guys doing?
Kendo 2 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 And if you don't use their Mod Manager you run the risk of getting a virus like when all of the manual downloads from their servers were bugged with ransomeware presenting itself as an ICSPA warning for kiddie porn. Screen lock and all. And if you use NMM, a Nexus-Downloader.exe will did the deed too. I gotta give kudos to whoever replaced Nexus software with malware. That is no small feat. All this happened back last Summer and Fark0ne claimed it was resolved...hehe...

I remember when I first joined Nexus for Oblivion mods, I was there almost a year before I ever went to the forum side. It WAS NOT my first stop as a new member. I read back a few pages in his latested thread. Hidden amongst the *derp* UR GREAT *derp* posts there were a few actually questioning HIM and what is going on. Those people would be the saving grace of Nexus if their posts didn't get deleted. If enough people posted 'WTF DUDE?! FIX IT.' he'd have to actually do something other than make excuses and play the mom-and-pop blame game like a goddamned 9 year old. What really shocked me is he's taking away the premium servers (except one) and knocking everyone down to the slower regular servers. What is the FUCKING POINT of having a premium membership then? Fark0ne has no integrity. But we already knew that.

Apparently they know theres problems and they dont need me yelling about it, all I really mentioned was the poor choice of money usage ect ect. BUT apparently they know all that. Apparently. And about the censorship and Darkone being a rude jerk pretty much, aaand blah blah. Nothing really new to be honest, as i said to them im just wasting my time cuz they are never gonna change. There members are no help at all though and a lot of them seem rather rude, and are hell bent on the idea that nexus is amazing and the admins are amazing ect ive had my fun theres nothing that can be done and i dont got much else to say ill leave the rest to smarter people, im not coming back to that forum lol

Hiding posts they don't personally agree with, yellow texting in debate threads when they know they are going to lose, etc. Everyone knows they do it, just can't can't talk about it. Funny that when people stop going there (by choice or by force) they discover a whole new world of mods and modding. They also find out for themselves what Dark0ne really is. Awesome. thats what i had in mind. my personal reasons: first, if you complain, you get bannhammered. second, constructive critics --> see first third, complaining about getting trolled from premiums --> see first. fourth, i think that their admins / moderators are simply assholes, and i dont support those. fifth, and lastly, with this shitty maintenance / organization they have i feel it would be giving money to prisons-rapists as a thanks for getting fucked by them if i would stay there / upload stuff / improve the so called "services". darkone is an idiot that blows the generated income the wrong way, why should i make him score even more cash. basic conclusion: fuck the nexus, i have no intention to attempt any further actions to change it to the better, mainly because its useless and only wasted time. its not my job to help everyone out, and i allow myself to pick who i help and who not. those guys dont deserve any help from me. may i, just because of being a curious fella, return the question... what are YOU gonna do about it?

Guest Ragna_Rok Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 sorry, but i just realized, there is a little something i actually do for the nexus. i dont upload there anymore ... i personally make more regular things, some fun stuff, nothing overly sophisticated, a stupid mace here, a berserkaxe there, some orc-armor, but no matter what, theres no way im gonna ever put anything there again, not my help in a post, not a mod, simply nothing. and i hope that im not alone with the way i think about them, and simply do my (little) share to dry them out and make them collapse to realize that they cant continue to behave like / make shit simply because theyre nexus. in this case i consider my "no way, nexus!" to be actually worth a little something. and after all my best moment there was waking up and telling lord trigger happy to go fuck himself. *epic-win*

Not everyone has the resources to start a website like the Nexus, Nor do they have the elitist mindset to gouge there memberbase of money they shouldn't be getting for the mods that are hosted there and at the same time belittle, begrudge and ban anyone for whatever trips they're trigger at the moment. But from your statements since after you started this thread I can only assume that, "If you can't do anything about the nexus stfu and stop bitching about it and it's staff." Is that an accurate assumption? First, i posted a very specific frustration about poor systems management. A technical argument. The thread turned into a series of lolol's about being shot in the face when you poke the 'hats that live over there. Second, you assume wrong. If that's what I intended, I'd have just said "STFU". I said exactly what I intended. . . which was a question: "what are you going to do about it?" Clearly, the answer is continue to poke the 'hats. Last . . . what do I intend to do about it?
