I researched my issue and tried a few things before I decided to post my issue here. I read up on some people having issues with devices not appearing when equipped and some of the possible solutions for it (Mod Orders, re installation of the Devious Device mods, body meshes and their incompatibilities) but I seem to be stuck in the boat where chasity belts, pony boots, arm/leg cuffs, and piercings are not showing up when equipped. Any suggestions would help for sure.

did you use body slide? Pick which body your using and run the items all through body slide and see if that helps.

When I ask for freedom I'm taken to my room and Markus shows up, but I stay frozen, he doesn't remove my dd items, and he doesn't give me back my stuff.  If I enable player controls through the MCM I can walk around but everyone still has they same dialog they did before I made the choice.  If I load a save game from before I made the choice, and I again choose freedom, the same issues occur.  Is there something I can do to get past this?

Uh... ran into a bit of a problem. Probably due to my own stupidity, but now Im wondering how to fix it or if I need to start over again.

 

So I came back to skyrim, saw theres a bunch of updates to stuff and figured its better to start over to make sure my game is stable. So I installed 4.8 and started up the game, did all the mod menu stuff for settings for all the mods again which is a pain in the bum. Played the game, gathered a bunch of bondage gear in my adventure to level 10, decided to try selling it at the captured dreams shop. I get there and see all kinds of problem... I figure I installed it wrong so I come back to be sure. Wouldnt ya know, 4.8 is a patch and not a full thing... miracle my game worked at all probably. So I uninstall captured dreams 4.8, reinstall 4.5, then add the 4.8 patch. I go back in and things look better, except when I talk to the master she wont say anything other than this.

I talk to others and they tell me to talk to the master first. Is my game borked? Do I have to wait for a quest to update or something first before I can interact with the npcs here? I went into the menu and tried activating quests and stuff figuring maybe I had to Start captured dreams through the mod menu now or something and no go. So now Im here asking if I need to start over again and redo the nightmare that is all my modmenu settings...

 

Reset the main framework in the MCM menu. When you first speak with the Master it goes a setup routine, one of which is setting it to a new stage which is a condition on her normal dialogue. Resetting it will set everything back to 0 and should let you continue. Another clue that things have not set up correctly is if the sliders for the attributes on the player settings are still available, once you speak with her they are removed and just show the values.

 

If that does not work then upload a log from a session where you reset the framework and speak with the Master again, you can reset it while in the shop.

 

Well I restarted the game back at my earlier new game save after I set all the settings, played some more, got to the captured dream shop, same problem. Reset the framework and still didn't work. Uh how do I give you a log like you asked? I wonder if I need to start all the way over in a brand new game and go through all the mcm menu settings again? If not maybe I have to reinstall the mod.

 

Do I need this third file I see? CDS_V4-05_LESP.7Z

 

 

After speaking with Master the first time use the following in the console:

 

sqv cdxFramework and tell me the stage it is at. If it is still 0 then something is definitely wrong in your game as it should be set to 10 at that point.

You can try making a save with the mod disabled then enable it again and see if that gets things working.

 

The V4.05 LESP file was the last update for the Localized German version and is not for use with v4.08.

Upload the entire log AFTER trying to speak with her, I get too many people that start the game and quit and think that is all that is needed but that doesn't tell me anything.

I'm sort of stuck somewhere in the thalmor embassy quest.After my first night,after I interact with chair,the lady tells me to get cleaned up and changes my gag.After that,when she asks me to follow her,nothing happens.I have no control of the pc in any way so if she's supposed to get off her knees and start following her on her own,it's not happening.My character just sits there on her knees. :/  

 

My cursor goes invisible when I'm put into the cell but I'm able to interact if I'm facing them.Clicking on the bed,chair and food barrel does nothing and there seems to be nothing else to interact with.(Just mentioning in case there's another trigger I'm not able to see.)

 

Also,I upgraded from 4.05 to 4.08.Do I need CDS_V4-05_LESP.7Z?

Use sqv cdxexpquest02 to find out the current stage and you should be able to set the stage using setstage cdxexpquest02 <current stage + 5> to get it to advance

 

The LESP file was the last update/fix for the localized / German version

 

How many lines of dialogue does this mod currently have now?

All the devices use the meshes from DD and need to be built in bodyslide as there are no actual meshes included in those anymore except for a few items (head gear I believe).

No I do not. I keep the characters weight set to 1 since most mods are required to have weight set to that. I used this mod in the past and never had this issue with my current setup. Other items such as armbinders, gags, and blindfolds work fine I find it strange that everything else would glitch.

All the devices use the meshes from DD and need to be built in bodyslide as there are no actual meshes included in those anymore except for a few items (head gear I believe).

You must run bodyslide to get the items, most of the items do not have actual meshes included with the mod just the bodyslide files to make them.

Everything else needs to be fitted to the specific body the gamer uses. The latest versions of the devious mods require bodyslide to do this. They don't include any of those meshes at all any more. You pick a CBBE or UUNP option in the installers but this is just installing slider sets that then need to be used to build the meshes in bodyslide. If you haven't done that, none of those meshes will exist in your game and the devices will be invisible.

I had recommended that they make the meshes available as a separate download for the base CBBE body and UUNP body for those that don't know how to use bodyslide or have no reason to use it as they don't use mods that require it. Most mods that use bodyslide include the base meshes and the bodyslide info unless it is just a conversion.

 

My suggestion was ignored and now we have the issue of people that don't know why the items don't show up.

 

I use a lot of  bodyslide mods so when I run bodyslide and change all the items I use I have close to 700 items that have to be made not including the DD items but all of them included the base meshes with them.

I am in the same boat as you. I've been modding Skyrim for 4 years now and I JUST figured out how to work overwrites recently. I just researched and watched a couple bodyslider videos and once again it goes over my head.

 

Been gone from modding Skyrim for about 6 months now so jumping back in has also made me quite rusty. Now when I mod things I make backups of both my Skyrim and Mod Organizer Folders as insurance.

Use the showinventory command on yourself and look for an item with no name (ignore the item with the id ending in 40f0c as it is the device hider). Use removeitem <ID> to remove the unnamed item then go into the normal inventory menu and unequp the item. This method works in removing any item but items with quests attached to them (belts and armbinders) need to be removed normally so equip a normal version and remove it so the quest will end properly.

 

As for the dialogue, the slavery option has been triggered again so you need to disable it in the MCM menu

ok. Well I started a new game earlier which I think prolly fixed it, that or picking Captured Dreams as my alternative start maybe. But I still have my save so I can do that for you. So I start up the game, wait for the store to open, walk in, talk to her, get the repetition error.

Still stuck in that loop though. Ill attach the log for you too... hope I do this right. Might be some errors in it since as I said this is an older save and I changed a few mods around but if so you can ignore them I think as this was a problem before I started over and did that.

Reporting an Error :

 

-. I use the start as player slavery option in the menu

-. I Chooses the option where the player starts as a property slave and starts in the mine.

-. I finishes up the mining quota then afterward I was send a task to trade the ore for ebony at an orc encampment

-. I enter the orc encampment, but as I talk to the said NPC that was pointed out in the journal, the orc keep stating that I don't belong there and doesn't initiate any conversation that have what the mine overseer requested. If I talk to the orc repeteadly he is going to get hostile and get ready to attack me same like a guard in the city that requested you to pay a fine.

 

Is there a fix to this ?

When I ask for freedom I'm taken to my room and Markus shows up, but I stay frozen, he doesn't remove my dd items, and he doesn't give me back my stuff.  If I enable player controls through the MCM I can walk around but everyone still has they same dialog they did before I made the choice.  If I load a save game from before I made the choice, and I again choose freedom, the same issues occur.  Is there something I can do to get past this?

I still had to go into the MCM to enable player controls and remove the quest items.  I still am stuck with the black pony boots.  How do I get out of those?  Also, master is stuck with the line "lets talk for a moment, shall we?"

 

 

Use the showinventory command on yourself and look for an item with no name (ignore the item with the id ending in 40f0c as it is the device hider). Use removeitem <ID> to remove the unnamed item then go into the normal inventory menu and unequp the item. This method works in removing any item but items with quests attached to them (belts and armbinders) need to be removed normally so equip a normal version and remove it so the quest will end properly.

 

As for the dialogue, the slavery option has been triggered again so you need to disable it in the MCM menu

 

 

I was able to remove the boots, but I don't see any option to disable slavery in the MCM menu.  Which tab should it appear under?

Thank you.  My slavery page didn't have any clickable options on it, and all the fields were blank except the NPC one which had Slave Erani Options listed but greyed out, but the console command worked like a champ.  I noticed my slaverelationship variable is at 4, hopefully that doesn't cause any issues.  I'm wondering if the problems I encountered with the freedom choice came about by me using Content Consumer's Alternate Starts to begin my life as a slave.

 

BTW, I tried the relationship choice from my earlier save game and that branch seemed to be pretty reliable.  I think I chose primitive plugs, but ended up with random ones instead.  Otherwise everything else seemed to work as expected.

Hey! Just dropping by to mention my character got herself into the Embassy quest, and everything works great even with timescale set to 10. However the devices I got on included an armbinder and a harness, and when it came time to play some scenes the same thing kept happening; basically there were no animations to be played since there are no animations for threesomes *and* bound. The harness didn't really mess anything up, however it would be nice to have a point before certain events where those kinds of item are removed temporarily just for the sake of diversity with the animations. At this point there are dozens if not hundreds of animations available, but the armbinder restricts it to maybe 2 at most?

Uh... ran into a bit of a problem. Probably due to my own stupidity, but now Im wondering how to fix it or if I need to start over again.

 

So I came back to skyrim, saw theres a bunch of updates to stuff and figured its better to start over to make sure my game is stable. So I installed 4.8 and started up the game, did all the mod menu stuff for settings for all the mods again which is a pain in the bum. Played the game, gathered a bunch of bondage gear in my adventure to level 10, decided to try selling it at the captured dreams shop. I get there and see all kinds of problem... I figure I installed it wrong so I come back to be sure. Wouldnt ya know, 4.8 is a patch and not a full thing... miracle my game worked at all probably. So I uninstall captured dreams 4.8, reinstall 4.5, then add the 4.8 patch. I go back in and things look better, except when I talk to the master she wont say anything other than this.

I talk to others and they tell me to talk to the master first. Is my game borked? Do I have to wait for a quest to update or something first before I can interact with the npcs here? I went into the menu and tried activating quests and stuff figuring maybe I had to Start captured dreams through the mod menu now or something and no go. So now Im here asking if I need to start over again and redo the nightmare that is all my modmenu settings...

 

Reset the main framework in the MCM menu. When you first speak with the Master it goes a setup routine, one of which is setting it to a new stage which is a condition on her normal dialogue. Resetting it will set everything back to 0 and should let you continue. Another clue that things have not set up correctly is if the sliders for the attributes on the player settings are still available, once you speak with her they are removed and just show the values.

 

If that does not work then upload a log from a session where you reset the framework and speak with the Master again, you can reset it while in the shop.

 

Well I restarted the game back at my earlier new game save after I set all the settings, played some more, got to the captured dream shop, same problem. Reset the framework and still didn't work. Uh how do I give you a log like you asked? I wonder if I need to start all the way over in a brand new game and go through all the mcm menu settings again? If not maybe I have to reinstall the mod.

 

Do I need this third file I see? CDS_V4-05_LESP.7Z

 

 

After speaking with Master the first time use the following in the console:

 

sqv cdxFramework and tell me the stage it is at. If it is still 0 then something is definitely wrong in your game as it should be set to 10 at that point.

You can try making a save with the mod disabled then enable it again and see if that gets things working.

 

The V4.05 LESP file was the last update for the Localized German version and is not for use with v4.08.

Upload the entire log AFTER trying to speak with her, I get too many people that start the game and quit and think that is all that is needed but that doesn't tell me anything.

ok. Well I started a new game earlier which I think prolly fixed it, that or picking Captured Dreams as my alternative start maybe. But I still have my save so I can do that for you. So I start up the game, wait for the store to open, walk in, talk to her, get the repetition error.

These errors are the issue as those functions being called is what sets up the stats and such at the start. I do not know why these are having an issue though as they have not changed much for quite some time. Unfortunately without at least the first 2 set up it will not work properly, the second one is the one that is the biggest problem as it sets Master's rank to 10 (along with everyone else's rank) and their opening dialogue is based on the rank.

The Alternative Start used by other mods feeds directly into the standard slave start, they didn't even have to change any coding from the original slave start in v3 as I took care of all of that.

 

The Slave Relationship score of 4 should keep it from happening again I believe, I have a lot of variables to track and sometimes I can't remember what does what where.

 

 

The plug system is still set to choose randomly, it needs set up so it all matches up with the MCM menu and quest options. The MCM menu was being difficult some time ago and would not work so I had to disable parts of it.

The only sex scene where the armbinder would be used is with Elenwen on the last night in the last sex scene. You should not have it on you for most of the stay there, only when moved from location to location for the most part.

Okay, not sure what happened then! I do remember playing this a long while ago and I didn't have an armbinder for most of it yeah.

Good news is I can just go into the integration MCM settings and disable filtering and unequip devices for animations and what not :)

I'll edit this comment with screenshots tomorrow when IMGur starts working again :P

i have a problem in the smithy the first day is all good but on the second day the supervisor of the blacksmith does not check the things I did
