So i'll ask again. Why can't i select NPC or objects while in console, all i get is my player ref number

I've upgraded from 1.5 to latest it generally works, except keys0, 8,9 don't work

this mod places the camera inside the characters head,so anything you click in console will be your head..go to 3rd person camera,,or even toggle flying camera if it doesn't work still

did you activate your numpad?that's your deal, had that too

The 1.9 version had a setable button, which enabled the camera to rotate while walking when held, so you could see yourself walking from the front or side. Is there any such function in the new versions?

Really love this mod, been using it ever since I discovered it. However I'm still using 1.9 due to it's MCM functions, though I've gotten more curious about the continuously updated version.

What advantages does the SKSE version have over the old BSA mod with MCM?

I rewrote it from scratch, it should work better overall.

Advantages:

  • More complex configuration is possible that wasn't before.
  • Unlimited amount of profiles can be created.
  • You can change beast race settings (and most other settings) in one place without having to edit all profiles.
  • Configure once then forget, the configuration stays even when you make new game.
  • Possible to overwrite vanilla FP, then there is no need to set a separate hotkey (optional).
  • Transition between vanilla FP and IFPV should be smoother and less noticable.
  • Head tracking is tied to crosshair, no more looking down to see your chin.
  • Camera should be smoother overall, rotation setting of 0 is used by default.
  • Attach camera to target works way better, you can even attach camera to barrel.
  • SL profile is included by default.
  • Many optional profiles are included that you can activate by removing 1 word, for example bow aiming in vanilla FP.
  • You can bind playing any animation to hotkey :P just made this one for fun.
  • Get a free slot for ESP, may be good if you are reaching mod limit.
  • By default my mod does not mess with FOV at all, but it's something you can do.
Disadvantages:
  • Configuration file may be too difficult to understand for some. You will have to do some reading and reasoning if you want to edit it.
  • Hide head option is not implemented yet.
  • I'm taking break again so there probably won't be update for a while.
  • Uninstalling mod can still cause problems with save game.

I have really enjoyed the crap out of this mod but first person archery using AGO is drifting my aim about 5 units right and 3 units down from the crosshair actual.

I've been trying to figure out how to get around it but so far, no luck in that regard...its really driving me nuts, I can only aim accurately in TPV, in FPV, I am definitely off by the units I've described.

Funnily enough i had the same problem in fpv but the aim went to the top right.using the 2.7 aimfix version from page 28.then i istalled AGO a while back and it works finr since then,,,,

Aimfix is only needed if you use turn to crosshair set to -2 during wielded weapons. Wrong aim with arrows happens because the source position where arrow fires from is not the same as camera, and the target point (angle) where arrow flies to is not the same as camera (it's actually depend on your character's rotation instead). These two can cause a huge mismatch depending on your race, animations and offset settings. There's no real way to fix this, except perhaps find out which skeleton node the arrow fires from, move camera there and temporarily set camera rotation equal to your character's, but it will look very strange.

Can anyone recommend me a good first person view mod that works with 360 degrees animations, and also performs well when in combat?

It's probably impossible to make one work perfect with 360 degree animations. Would need something that flips the camera around, but then it would be pointless to hold the "S" key. Only takes a split second to turn the camera and keep W held down.

I find this works fine with combat. Sure it's shaky, but it's better than floating hands. haha

The mod is indeed great, but it is quite troublesome to sneak with a bow while using this, on top of that I'm using custom animations which mess it up even more...

My other issue is that the looting or object activating is pretty weird as well and can only work from a somewhat big distance from what I was used too... *sigh*

I've been using IFPV along with Animations (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51554/?) for some time now. I can't complain.  But I frequently switch to vanilla FPV when in combat (for killmoves), also sometimes with SL animations. Bottom line: I don't think you one can use IFPV all the time. There are too many limitations of the engine to make it work in every situation. But I can't imagine playing Skyrim with default views only, especially in 3rd person. Just sayin' ;)

New version 3.1!

Fixed bug where if you hide head then shadow disappears too. In the process I discovered how to make head invisible without hiding helmet so I added toggleable helmet view. Press numpad 4 to toggle it (off by default).

If you look around in the helmet cam the character turns head (+helmet) properly because of head tracking. :D

This doesn't work well with all helmets, close face helmets are very bad for obvious reasons. Some helmets didn't have interiors modeled by bethesda, perhaps a kind modder will make a mod to fix. :) And also looking at something from so close makes the textures seem really blurry. And some helmets will block too much of the view since the camera is a fixed point vs. real life where you have two eyes.

It does work with all helmets without having to edit much of anything so that's a plus, it also works with circlets which just looks a bit weird, since you're not supposed to see it. :D

If you're not happy with the camera placement during helmet cam you can open configuration and change it, search for "HelmetCam" and change the offsets there.

I don't know if you can. But if you disable one of these you can switch between all 3:

!set bZoomIntoIFPV true
!set bToggleIntoIFPV true

Thank you I did that following the steps on the page and as you said the num pad 9 is the shortcut key. I just remember I could use my d-pad as the key from earlier versions since it had mcm menu to set up but I prefer the now skse version for less mcm clutter and esp count.

Just updated to the latest and now my body disappears whilst wearing Devious Devices items. So far normal items like armors and clothes are not having this kind of problem.

Does anyone know what causes this?
