with this latest update, i am using BoS, when pc turns into a bimbo and the bimbo tattoos appear I get the message "SLSF Reloaded - ERROR: Body tattoo subcategory is invalid"

Try changing the Body Tattoo subcategory in the MCM. Does everything seem to function otherwise?

This should be fixed in the next update. Adding support for other languages is a bit difficult for me because I cannot test other languages myself.

I thought of that after writing here, and it did help briefly but using the bimbo tonic seems to remove the tattoo, so when the tonic runs out and the curse comes back with the tattoo so does the warning and I have to go in again to change it

Ok, I'm pretty sure I know how to fix that then.

Hey ! Thanks a lot for the mod, everything is working great so far !

I just had a few very small questions :

  • I notice there is a cumdump fame, which was not in the vanilla SLSF, is there any effect related to that fame ? I don't see anything mentionning it in "SLSF Fame Comments", nor other mods
  • I see in the guide that with "overwrite legacy slsf", I shouldn't touch the "remove child npc" option. Does that mean this mod does not allow to remove children anymore ?

Thanks a lot anyway for the nice work !

SLSF Reloaded is a Framework mod similar to how the old SLSF was. Mods such as Fame Comments need to utilize what my mod offers to make things happen, otherwise this mod simply causes a bunch of useless numbers to go up and down. I've added these extra fames (Cum Dump, Bound, Tattoo, etc) to give mod authors more to work with when making their mods. So nothing in SLSF Reloaded directly causes things to happen, it merely gives mod authors something to compare to in order for THEIR mods to do things.

"Overwrite Legacy SLSF" forcefully turns off the child hider from the Old SLSF, yes. This is because other mods, such as Fertility Mode and its addons, utilize child NPCs in their mods and trying to remove them is only likely to cause problems with those mods, and could cause problems with the Vanilla game in some situations as well. For example, the Dark Brotherhood questline starts by talking to a child in Windhelm. That's hard to do if that child no longer exists.

Mods that have sweeping removals of things, whatever that may be, tend to cause a lot of instability and unreliability in your game unless they take extreme care to correct it, and the Old SLSF didn't do that. Therefore, the Overwrite Function forces that removal to be turned off. If you find some other child hider that you want to use (and hopefully does a better job) then SLSF Reloaded will not mess with it.

I didn't make that decision lightly. If the old SLSF wasn't as buggy as it is, then I probably would have left it alone. As such, SLSF Reloaded itself will never have a child remover due to the potential issues I mentioned. Issues with child npcs or the lack of child npcs will never be SLSF Reloaded's fault.

I can't get the latest version 2.7 to appear in MCM after following the uninstall and data saver releases.

I did another test on my own system following my own update instructions and mine came back. Are you sure you're giving SkyUI enough time to re-register the MCM? It can take a minute or two, and sometimes you need to give it a "kick" by opening the MCM list and closing back to game, then waiting a little bit.

Everyone else that has reported this problem has gotten it to come back eventually.

The FAQ also mentions this, but has been updated with my answer here.

Following your procedure to uninstall 2.7 I can't complete step 4 because the save gets corrupted!!!

Then please try using the uninstall procedure for 2.4 or older. I can't figure out why save corruption happens, and it never happens to me. I've tried everything I can think of to stop this from happening, but nothing works.

I've been having an issue trying to update from 2.5 to anything else, I've followed the steps, but I keep getting the "SLSF Reloaded - ERROR: Body Tattoo Subcategory is invalid" message that won't stop popping up

@FFUps009 @ald134

This is a 2.6/2.7 bug due to a mistake when adding non-English support.

Try again with 2.8, and make 100% certain you followed the instructions properly. You can use Uninstaller v1 where necessary if you're still trying to update from 2.5.

Finally got around to giving this mod a shot after using old SLSF for so long. At first it seemed ok, but there might have been problems from the start - it didn't seem to recognize any mods (though the only one i was using at the time that could use it was public whore - i had the patch but it wasn't showing up in the registered mods list)

I tried following all the instructions when installing, I was not using the old SLSF, I don't have any mods that add extra non unique NPC's that could potentially cause extra runs, I don't have any of the incompatible comments mods, so I am not sure why this would be happening.

resaver showed major issues with the visibility manager specifically - I only looked at the code for like 5 minutes, but it looks like a pretty involved process hitting multiple other mods - is this only triggered through the onequip functions? if so, my guess is its getting hung up on the tattoos specifically. I have like 60 tattoo slots enabled so i think when equipping/unequipping multiple devices it is getting hung up pretty hard. this is likely worsened by me using skyrim souls to prevent pausing in menus, which i assume would allow these events to be prioritized when the player is setting thier own gear. (though probably would still have similar problems when something like dd enchanted chests or devious followers equip a device.

I understand that "Registered mods" may be misleading, but that page is mostly for mod developers to know they're using the API correctly in certain cases. Public Whore will show True in "General Info" if the mod is detected.

The mod is limited to 40 Tattoo Slots because it analyzes how many are visible. Since you're using the maximum slots, yes, this is why you have this issue. I can't do much about it without effectively butchering the feature. This isn't a "problem" with the script. It's just an unfortunate fact. This limit was cut down heavily from previous limits of nearly 100.

The script detects how many slots are available to each section, so if you're not using slots on other body parts, please set the numbers to an amount you're actually using frequently. Don't max out the limit just because you can. Also, try increasing the processing limit of Papyrus in the Papyrus Tweaks ini ("Max Operations Per Task" - I currently use 2000) and turn on the "Speed Up Native Calls" function to decouple script processing from your framerate. This will likely alleviate the issue.

Makes sense to me! Also holy crap on the "Speed up native calls" and increasing the processing limit. Game is running WAY faster now. good looking out!

I started a new game with 2.8 and it will not show up in the menu, same as 2.7 in my last game. I don't think tattoos are working either, set at 40% chance with a 5% incremental gain, and no tattoos yet after a dozen encounters, although I can manually add them in Rape Tattoos.

EDIT... As I wrote this, you released 2.9, so I'll give that a go. Been updating since 1.2 and have probably restarted at least a dozen times since. 300 saves and level 13 is about as far as I get before I have to start over. As long as you're making improvements, I'm good with that. :)

After updating from 2.6 to 2.9 i have 2 problems, rather minor but still:
- There are no notifications despite it being enabled
- General information tab doesnt load and makes the mcm stuck. At the begining I had no such issue. Reloading old saves, shortly after upgrade this menu did appear, but few saves later blank screen, maybe after gaining fame this menu became broken.

Ok, well, you're the only one that has a persistent issue with the MCM. So unfortunately I don't know what to tell you. Everyone else has gotten it to work.

Instead of restarting, you can try completely cleaning your save of SLSF Reloaded and see if that fixes your issue - if you haven't already. Follow the 2.9 save cleaning instructions, then re-install 2.9.

SLSF Reloaded doesn't affect Rape Tattoos, doesn't apply or remove tattoos, or otherwise affect tattoos being applied or removed. It only analyzes if tattoos are applied in SlaveTats, then checks if they're considered visible based on your settings in the MCM.

Please turn on Papyrus Logging and recreate your issue. Then post your papyrus log from that game session here so I can see what's going on.

Do you have Data Saver v1 installed? If you do, you should remove it. Data Saver v1 is only for those who wanted to keep their Fame Data before the Data Saver feature was implemented into the main mod/download. I can't promise that removing Data Saver v1 will fix your issue, but it might.

If you remove Data Saver v1 and it doesn't fix your issue, or if you don't have Data Saver v1 installed, try cleaning your save with the instructions provided for 2.6+ and reinstalling the mod. I can't find any errors being thrown by SLSF Reloaded in your log.

If you perform all of these steps and your issue still isn't fixed, then you have some other issue in your mod list. I see a number of errors being thrown by "iSum" and "SLHH" referencing "SKI_PlayerLoadGameAlias" which is a SkyUI script. This might mean you have a problem with SkyUI itself.

no luck, the same issue occurs on brand new save. If nobody else has similar problem i just assume its on me and won't bother you

V2.9 - I got an tattoo applied, and got into a continously loop saying "SLSF Reloaded - ERROR: Body tattoo Subcategory invalid. No way to get rid of it, and its no way to edit the sub category, as it is greyed out.

So what to do? I dont find a way to set up Subs for the tatoo, they are all greyed out....
