I also have version 1.10.163 of the game; I downloaded it from your post on Loverslab and I'm using the latest version you uploaded, V1.27.7.

Which version of LoversLab are you using?

Also, can you use the console to check if the player has the keyword "hucow"?  Do you know how to check keywords?

And no, I don't know how to identify the keywords. Isn't it with the `help hucow` command?

You use the console to check a keyword by opening the console and typing "player.haskeyword hucow"

If the returned value is 0, the player does not have the keyword, which means the cure worked.

Do any notification messages play in the upper left corner of the screen when you change the MCM setting for "Make Player a HuCow Immediately"?

Nothing comes out from MCM, only when I voluntarily inject the serum or the synths.

Are you using the correct version of the MCM mod for your version of F4SE and FO4?

Yes, I even re-downloaded everything just in case something was corrupted, from CBBE, MCM, F4SE, and BodySlide and Outfit Studio, but no, the problem persists.

Something is preventing the MCM quest for my mod from running in your game or something has stopped that quest in your game.

It runs automatically when you start a game and should never be stopped.

If the MCM quest is running normally, you will see notifications in the upper left corner of your game screen every time you change an MCM setting for my mod.

It has been a while since I last played this mod. Was reading through changelog when I came across this:

" Reworked the Synth attack quest so that the synths speak correctly after injecting the player with the hucow serum."

I was not aware that synths were attacking and changing the player into a HuCow which makes me wonder:

1. To what end? Just because they can? Why do they want the player to be a HuCow?

2. What initiates this scenario? Does it only happen after an objective is met?

Would be pretty cool if the player HuCow could end up in an Institute Dairy somewhere. Far as that goes, any of the major factions doing that would be neat.

EDIT: Nevermind. I found the how of it. Still not sure of the why of it.

I did something I am not supposed to do, so I knew I might have issues. I installed this on an old save that I really was not ready to give up quite yet. However I have completed the cure quest. Mod mechanics seem to function well. However I dont see any items in my workshop menu to build. I have only just met Hope after my encounter with the synths. Does she eventually unlock these items or is that something that needs to load after exiting the vault?

There's a holotape called Blueprints and Notes for Human Cattle Furniture (or something like that), its not given by a quest/npc. Its just lying in the open world by one of the terminals you have to look at when looking for the cure. If you missed it you can add it via the mcm menu or console commands and then use the holotape to unlock the items.

*Edit: you should still have the basic buildable items tho so you might be borked if the build menu for 'Human Cattle' isn't there.

So human Cattle has its own build menu? under what other menu item is it or is its main build  menu on the main workshop bar?

EDIT: I consoled the blueprint note in and that added the build menu. Thank you so much!

You can get that Blueprints holotape immediately via an MCM option.  Once you have it, run it in your Pipboy or a terminal one time.  Now you will have the full build menu for Human Cattle.

I have not explained the "Why" yet.  Someone out there wants to make the player a hucow (if you allow that option in the MCM).  Whomever the mysterious person is, they have access to older model synths and the Institute teleporter.

An Institute Dairy seems unlikely, but maybe I should consider it.  After all, the Institute sees no use for humans of the Commonwealth.  They are a lost cause, barbaric and contaminated.  But if they could be used to produce a milk that would protect worthy Institute humans and Gen 3 synths from radiation sickness?  That might pique the Institute's interest and would certainly be more useful than the FEV research turned out to be.

This seems even more likely once the Institute is destroyed and the remnants must rebuild somewhere on the surface where radiation hazards are omnipresent.

I cannot get this mod to work.

I have all pre-requisites and appears to be installed correctly. (All DLCs, latest version of AAF and XDI)

I can see the listing in MCM,  but it says i've got the missing plugin.

I cannot enable the plugin in the creation screen load order because its missing something

Im running the most up to date version of FO4 but I dont thave the CC content

Got any ideas?

Edit: Im not entirely sure what i've done but seems to now be working. I think it was toggling an option to load anyway in the CC menu, but im not sure. Either way, its now loaded

Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing how well my mod works with the latest version of FO4.  I am currently using the pre-NG version of FO4 with the current edition of AAF.

Many of the framework mods are running on the latest FO4 version but LooksMenu and AAF are not updated yet.   Much of my mod's functionality for sex scenes and body morphing will not work without those two mods.

I personally think that would be golden.

I know you have hinted at supermutants getting involved down the road which is why I assume you have enabled raids by them on settlements. Maybe after that part of your work is done you could take a break and think about the Institute getting involved later.

If supermutants do take hucows in raids, I suppose it would be purely for meat. That might make it hard for the player to have an out if they are abducted. Would suggest a grander scheme than sustenance for the abductions. Perhaps it could be found that hucow milk addresses the muties greatest weakness...intellect. Drinking hucow milk over time could make them smarter...er. That way they have incentive to take care of the hucows. They coulld kill bulls for meat.

Commonwealth supermutants are stupider than West Coast versions.  Erickson and Strong are exceptions.  Virgil's short time as a supermutant indicates that preserving memories and intellect after receiving the FEV serum is not impossible.

Normal supermutants are intolerant of others of their kind that are different from the norm.  I suppose my supermutants may have to be unique in some way...

Yes, please no cannibalism of the poor hucows!!!!

If the SMs want them for milk and sex, then I as a rancher would be happy to sell some to them on a regular basis and visit their ( no doubt entertaining) SM+hucow settlements with some hucows for selling.

(or maybe buying some too?)

So my character has been a HuCow for some time now. I have completed the Moreau quest. Asked if he could cure me but he said to meet him later at Vault 81. Got there about 11 days later and his guards are here, but no Moreau, Lloris or Emily. Waited a few more days but they still have not showed up. Is there anywhere else these guys hang out? Is that the only way I can be cured?

I haven't changed the cure syringes since February.  Yes, they only work on NPCs.  If you want to cure the player, either craft a reversal injector and use it or just flip the switch in the MCM.  You may have to equip the injector as a favored item and use it from there because magic effects don't take place while the Pipboy menu is open.  I need to edit that script so that the process waits for the pipboy menu to close before taking effect.

I have done as you suggested here but I am still a HuCow.

The guards are outside the vault.  Doctor Moreau, Emily, and Lloris are in the Vault 81 clinic.  Doctor Moreau keeps a cure injector in a cooler on his desk.  It should respawn eventually if you take it.

Neither the MCM method or the cure injector worked?   This is the same problem that Lord Mado has, but damned if I know what would cause it.
