have any tutorial?

I do not have any tutorials for something this specific.  All my Kuro-specific tutorials are here.  If you can do the more advanced tutorials on my wiki, you can port costumes from anywhere.  I did write a tutorial on porting a costume from a different game engine here, but it is for Ys VIII.  The steps are mostly the same though.

Kuro DLC Tools updated to v1.0.8.  I've added detection of conflicting .kurodlc.json files (and it tells you where the conflict is).  Download the latest version of the tools here, or for most users - you only need the latest version of kurodlc_make_zzz_tables.exe which is here.

I haven't actually seen any conflicts in Daybreak yet, but Ys X has run into this issue already.  A short primer on interpreting the conflicts on the Ys X thread here.

Damn I'm wondering what sculpting methods/videos you used to get that result. I've been only using elastic deform.

Hey y'all, screenshot guy here, bringing you yet another Trails comp. This is a big one, but before I start yapping let me thank and credit the people that made this possible:

@lakovic - Sexy&Nude Mod

@coomi - Marielle Slime Mod

@fakecheng - Underwear Mod and the DLC version

@amorrow28 - UnSkirt Mod, Agnès After School, DOA Cosplay 1 & 3 and his many useful tools and guides (too many links, just go to page 1 to see them lol)

There is a lot of stuff that didn't make into the comp so make sure to check them all out! Also, some of these were slightly modified by me, so what you see in the comp may not always reflect the actual mods.

This compilation contains mild spoilers for the entire game, like cutscenes and end-of-chapter bosses (from ch.1 to ch.4). I've concealed some events from chapters 5 and 6 in a separate folder; if you've already finished the game or are very close to doing so, please move those files to the main folder before you start reading. There is, however, an important character reveal that I didn't hide, so I recommend reaching the final day of Chapter 4 to enjoy the comp without major spoilers.

For the best viewing experience I also recommend finishing the main folder before you check out the extras. And lastly, this comp is quite different from my previous ones, so if you didn't jive with them, give this one a shot!

... giving me a (US) Playstation Gift Card! I know sites like ko-fi are a way better method of receiving donations but I can't take that approach due to some shenanigans with Paypal. My second option was going to be Steam, but from what I have read they are very strict when it comes to gifting money on their platform. They would probably ban my account under suspicion of scam if I received more than two donations lol. That only leaves my third choice.

If you don't have a go-to site for purchasing digital gift cards, give PCGameSupply a look. I can't guarantee it's 100% failproof since none of these kinds of sites are ever perfect, but I have bought many cards from them over the years and never had any problems, so there's that at least.

This compilation took a.. surprising amount of time to make so these donations would go a long way to keep me motivated to do more.

Anyway, that's it! Enjoy!

Does the sexy and nude mod with work the unskirt mod? I can run both concurrently without having to change anything?

Hello dear @amorrow28 , I'm very appreciate for your hard working about The Legend of Heroes games.
You provided massive mods, tutorials, experiences, tools, and CE scripts.

I have just finished Trails into Reverie some days ago , and prepare to play the next game Trails through Daybreak.
But I was surprised to find out that there is no "Big Boobs and Fluttering Skirt" mod.
It accompanied me for my entire CS III, CS IV and Reverie game life.I cannot leave it.
This mod make female npc boob bigger simply by editing her chrxx.inf.
So I unpack all Daybreak P3A origin files but do not find any *.inf file.
I wonder if Falcom changed the model files content?
Is it still possible to make boob bigger by simply modify some text files?
I know nothing about Blender. So I come here to seek your advice.

I never used that mod, so I do not know much about it or how it works.  The equivalent of the .inf files from phyre engine are the .json files in daybreak, stored in asset_common_model_info.p3a.  You will need to modify the entries in "DynamicBone" I believe, since those are the entries we use to preserve physics when making costumes.  Both chest physics and skirt physics are in there.

I do not know how to replicate your mod, and I will not be doing the research to replicate it.  I have not seen the original author of the mod in a very long time.  You will need to do the experiments yourself.  You can try modifying the files - I would start with damping, gravity and wind.  RightChest and LeftChest are of course the breasts, and the skirt bones have names with S - for example FS01 is the top front skirt bone, whereas BS01 is the top back skirt bone (and LeftSA01 is top left skirt bone A, etc).

@Whayameen you have outdone yourself again!  I have not completed the game, so I cannot go through all the images, but I did get to enjoy through chapter 4.

I must say, I do *NOT* remember this (very hot) scene happening though...

Ok, I made this a few months ago, and kind of forgot I had it until I just saw @Whayameen's amazing screenshot set... and I wish I had given it to him before!  I think I made this with the intention of using it as the base of a different mod, but I abandoned that mod.  Anyway, it is what it is.  Again, thank you to the legendary @lakovic for the nude body that I used to fit the costume on, as he has generously given me permission to use!  Disclaimer: Obviously I do not own and do not claim ownership of any of the assets used in the making of this mod.  And thank you to Whayameen for inspiring me to remember this even existed in my install.

DaybreakAgnesJustPanties.7z

To use the mod, just copy contents of the dlc folder and the mods folder into your Daybreak folder's dlc and mods folders, and then make custom tables as usual.  The costume can be unlocked from the DLC tab of the item menu.  All the costumes can also be purchased from... umm, I think Paulette's store?  I don't remember.  It's one of the stores in Old Town for sure.

NOTE: Starting with Daybreak, Falcom no longer has a modular DLC system, so without making your own custom tables, you can only use one DLC P3A at a time!  Please see here how to combine the tables of 2 or more DLCs using the .kurodlc.json file included in this mod.  It is an intimidating process at first, but will become very easy once you do it once or twice.

@amorrow28 Thanks for your kind direction , I tested parameters of the model info node.

I found decrease stretch_limit and increase resilience can make boob bigger and more perky.

I'm not sure if it has any problem , but I played for nearly one day and felt very smooth.

I only modified origin model since I did not have any permission.

I am surprised at the quality of the result. All of my model edits involve carefully moving small sets of vertices half a millimeter at a time. I have never been able to get sculpting tools to do what I want. I assume that is because I am not a sculptor.

Playing the game for the first time with lakovic's mod but does anyone know how to fix this? I did not add any other mod other than lakovic's sexy&nude mod and some dlc costumes. The only change I did was taking the common_shaders.ini file from the unskirt mod and replacing the one that came with lakovic's with it.

Screenshot 2024-10-12 213533.png

Why replace the file?
Assuming you are trying to combine the two mods, you want all unique `[ShaderOverride*]` sections from both files. You could just copy and paste the contents of one file at the bottom of the other or rename one file and include both files in the `Mods` folder.
I don’t know if this will solve the problem in the screenshot, though.

The original lakovic sexy&nude mod does not actually work at all when I drop it in my mods folder as is without changing anything. But the OP of this thread states "requires new common_shaders.ini, see UnSkirt Mod for NISA" (check page 1)  so I downloaded the Unskirt mod and took the common_shaders.ini from it and dropped it into lakovic's folder and it now works. However as you can see it makes the fairy invisible when I turn it on even though she clearly has a nude model in the folder

Hey guys

 I'm having tons of fun with @lakovic  sexy&nude mod. However, this keeps happening to Agnès, aka her staff wields her costume. Any help fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT : Nevermind, solved the issue by deleting/reinstalling Agnès mod files and  pressing F10 in-game

I'm also having this problem and deleting/reinstalling Agnes' mod files didn't fix it :(

The first 15-20 minutes of this tutorial explains the process of using 3dmigoto to find the right hash. The first 5-10 minutes are about software (which you don’t need because you do not need to change any textures or models), so you could skip that.

Quick overview of the process:

Find the relevant .ini file for that costume/model under Mods. Open the file in a text editor. Find in the [TextureOverride*] section where it says “hash = ”.

In the game, hit F12 to enter hunting mode. Use Numpad buttons:

  • 7 and 8 cycle between index buffers
  • 9 copies the hash of the currently selected index buffer
  • 1 and 2 cycle through shaders
  • 3 copies the hash of the currently selected shader
  • + resets the search
  • F12 exits hunting mode
  • The selected object will disappear when you get to it

Find the index buffer hash for the relevant object and put that in the [TextureOverride*] section of the .ini file.

Find the shader hash, and add that to common_shaders.ini (following the same structure as the other 100 or so entries).

Those are general instructions. For porting a mod between the two games (which is what you are doing), you generally only need to update shader hashes.

Return and report.

The steps I outlined require no coding knowledge. However, I looked into the problem. There are lots of shaders that need to be added to the list. I am not sure if I found all of them.

Solution: Copy and paste the following at the end of your common_shaders.ini:

[ShaderOverride_common_22]
hash = 9744b8aa5804b648
run = CommandListActivate
allow_duplicate_hash = true

Here are basic instructions on how to use my tools to make tables!  I know it's inconvenient for users to have to make their own tables, but Falcom left us no choice.  There is only one set of tables allowed.  :(

Instructions updated for v1.0.8!

For players who want to combine tables from two or more mods:

  1. Put kurodlc_make_zzz_tables.exe, script_en.p3a (from Trails Through Daybreak NISA), and all your .kurodlc.json files from all the mods you want to use into an empty folder.
  2. Double-click kurodlc_make_zzz_tables.exe.  This will make a new p3a file called zzz_combined_tables.p3a.
  3. Put zzz_combined_tables.p3a in your {Daybreak folder}/mods folder.  This will overwrite t_costume.tbl, t_dlc.tbl, t_item.tbl from all the individual mods with new set of tables that combines them.  (Do NOT delete the mods themselves!  This p3a only has the tables, not the mods.)
  4. Do not delete your work folder.  When you add a new mod, just add its .kurodlc.json file to the folder, and repeat steps 2-3.

Note: I am hoping all modders will include .kurodlc.json files with their mods.  But if a mod is missing that file, you can use kurodlc_make_json_from_tbls.py to recreate the file, instructions are in the README.

For modders who want to make a DLC mod:

Per recommendation from @fakecheng, make a folder for searching IDs / combining tables (folder1), and a separate folder for making your final tables to include with a mod (folder2) -- you do not want entries from other mods inside your mod table!

  1. Download my Kuro DLC tool here: https://github.com/eArmada8/kuro_dlc_tool/releases and run the included install_python_modules.bat.
  2. Put script_en.p3a, kurodlc_extract_original_tbls.py, kurodlc_lib.py and p3a_lib.py in both folders, and run kurodlc_extract_original_tbls.py in each folder.  t_costume.tbl.original, t_dlc.tbl.original, t_item.tbl.original, t_name.tbl, and t_shop.tbl.original should appear in each folder.
  3. Put any existing .kurodlc.json files you want to search with in folder1.
  4. Put kurodlc_find_item_id.py and kurodlc_find_dlc_id.py in folder1 and use them to find available IDs.
  5. Put your mdl files, kurodlc_make_json_from_mdls.py, kurodlc_make_tbls.py, and kurodlc_lib.py in folder2.
  6. Run kurodlc_make_json_from_mdls.py.  It will ask you questions about the dlc pack (dlc name, description, etc.) then individually about each mdl file (costume name, costume description, etc.).  It will generate an  .mdl.json file for each mdl file, as well as a dlc.json file - these are used on subsequent runs of the tool so that you do not need to repetitively type in answers.  Just edit the files in Notepad.  After generating dlc.json and the .mdl.json files, it will generate the .kurodlc.json file.  *Please include this file with your mod!*
  7. Run kurodlc_make_tbls.py, and it will make the t_costume.tbl, t_dlc.tbl, t_item.tbl, and t_shop.tbl.
  8. Make a folder for your mods inside folder2, name it whatever you want, for example "my_awesome_mod".  For the next steps, I will call this folder {mod folder}.
  9. Make a folder {mod folder}/asset/common/model and put your .mdl files in there.
  10. Make a folder {mod folder}/asset/common/model_info and put your model .json files in there.  (These are the dynamic bone descriptions etc.  These are NOT the .mdl.json files generated by my tool!)
  11. Make a folder {mod folder}/asset/dx11/image and put your .dds files in there.
  12. Make a folder {mod folder}/table_en and put t_costume.tbl, t_dlc.tbl, t_item.tbl, and t_shop.tbl in there.
  13. Put p3a_archive.py and p3a_lib.py in folder2.  Drag {mod folder} onto p3a_archive.py.  This will make a {mod folder}.p3a file.
  14. Enjoy your mod!  To use a dlc mod, a corresponding dlc unlock key must be made (they are in the {Daybreak folder}/dlc folder).  Just copy an existing one and rename it to your new dlc ID.
  15. For mod distribution, please include the .p3a file, the .kurodlc.json file, and the DLC unlock key.

Hopefully DLC modding will take off!  Enjoy!

What happens when there are duplicate IDs between mods? For example the Kai costume mod on Nexus has the same IDs as DOA 2 and DOA 3. I tried changing the IDs on the json but it just made the costume not work.
