This is my Unskirt Mod, ported over from the CLE version of Kuro no Kiseki.  It focuses mainly on playable characters, although some NPCs are also modified.

There are two versions, one that provides P3A files that will be directly read by the game engine, and one that uses 3DMigoto to modify the GPU assets in real time.  Most players should use the P3A version.  You do not need both.

3DMigoto mod requires NISA v1.3.5 or older; use MDL version for v1.4.0!

Daybreak_UnSkirtMod_v1.3_MDL version.7z

Daybreak_UnSkirtMod_v1.3_with_3Dmigoto_custom.7z

Advantages of the P3A file version:

  • Easiest install, no files in the game install are overwritten
  • Works in all situations (field, battle, costume menu, S-crafts, etc etc). 3Dmigoto works in field, battle, the other settings untested.
  • No hash collisions leading to unintentional model modification (one costume mod affecting an unrelated character's model etc)
  • Support for Steam Deck / Linux (and possibly other platforms such as Nintendo Switch, who knows, I only I have PC)

Advantages of the 3DMigoto version:

  • Mod can be turned on and off at the tap of a button (Press F2 to turn on and off, F1 for help)
  • No files in the game install are overwritten
  • common_shaders.ini was built against my mod as well as mods by @lakovic, @coomi, @fakecheng and @jmedia7NO SUPPORT is offered or will be given by me for shaders that are used with mods other than my own UnSkirt mod!  If you run into issues, post in this thread and maybe someone else can help you.
  • Note that because the NISA version of this game already uses a "Mods" folder, my configuration of 3dmigoto now uses a "3dm_mods" folder for 3dmigoto mods.
  • Note that the 3DMigoto version is NOT compatible with SGSSAA!

How to use:
P3A: Copy the p3a files into the mods folder into your Trails through Daybreak folder.  The default location is {Steam}\steamapps\common\The Legend of Heroes Trails through Daybreak\mods if you have the Steam version of the game.

3DM: Copy all files into your Trails through Daybreak folder.  The default location is {Steam}\steamapps\common\The Legend of Heroes Trails through Daybreak if you have the Steam version of the game.

For those using 3DMigoto: (instructions for gamepad problems, and installing @coomi's nude mod)

If your controller doesn't work with 3DMigoto, try:

1. Disable Steam Overlay

2. Disable Steam Input

To install coomi's mod with the 3DMigoto version of my mod, download the "Bodies Only" version of @coomi's mod, here.  Put the folder in {Steam}\steamapps\common\The Legend of Heroes Trails through Daybreak\3dm_mods.  (Sorry, the screenshot is from Reverie, but you get the idea...)

Note:

My mod does modify DLC assets.  You need to own the DLC to use any of DLC mods I include, of course.  You do NOT need to own DLC to enjoy this mod, as the vast majority of costumes modded are in the base game.

Is there a particular costume mod you want to see / use, but you do not have it in the game?  Try my purchase override cheat and buy any costume you want for the price of a tear balm!

Free camera for Trails through Daybreak!

UPDATED FOR v1.4.0

Daybreak_Free_Camera_for_v140.zip

How to use:

Quote

This script is used with Cheat Engine (CE).  Instructions on how to install CE and load the table here.

Feature List:

  • Force Pause Animation - F5 to turn on, F6 to turn off - this completely pauses the game!  Check the box to enable before using.
  • Hide Interface - F7 to toggle. Everything disappears - interface, minimap, dialogue, menus, overlays, letterboxing, everything.
  • Control camera distance (zoom) - F4 to toggle. Press Home to zoom in, End to zoom out.  Will remember your custom zoom value prior to cutscenes and restore the value after, IF you do not adjust the zoom during the cutscene itself.
  • Free camera - press 0 to activate. See instructions below on how to navigate.
  • Set Camera Min Z to Floor: There is a function that stops the camera from going any lower than waist-height. This changes the limit to just above the floor. For the best experience, also turn on No Clip.
  • No Clip - Objects will stop disappearing when they get too close to the camera.

Free Camera Controls:

Hotkey : Num 0 (Toggle On/Off)

After activating the script player can use the following hotkeys:
W : Forward
S : Backward
A : Left
D : Right
R : Up
F : Down

Mouse control for tilt/pan!  (You can turn mouse support on and off with page up / page down keys while the script is active.)
I : Tilt Up
K : Tilt Down
L : Pan Right
J: Pan Left

F1 : Decrease Camera Speed (Press and Hold)
F2 : Double Camera Speed (Press and Hold)
F3 : Quadruple Camera Speed (Press and Hold)

Enjoy!

Here are all my other free camera scripts:  Trails of Cold Steel (CS) 1, CS2, CS3, Trails into Reverie, Trails through Daybreak IITrails beyond the HorizonHajimari no Kiseki, Kuro no Kiseki, Kuro no Kiseki 2, Tokyo Xanadu eX+, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, Atelier Ryza, Atelier Ryza 2.  I also made a MinZ (*cough* upskirt) script for CS4.

Buy something in the game, it does not matter what it is.

You now have the item you desired!  Be sure to uncheck the box in cheat engine or you cannot buy anything else.

NOTE: Turn off the cheat after purchasing. The game engine uses the same instruction to buy items and unequip items! (Actually you can use this cheat to get items by unequipping if you are not near a store but of course you will lose what you unequip.)

Do not ask me to add more things (like Sepith etc), I have no interest.  I only made this because I made an UnSkirt Mod and I want you to be able to have all the costumes to enjoy my mod!

It's so nice that Daybreak is finally out in english. Now we just need that Daybreak 2 announcement any day now.

Kondo-san is guest of honor at NISA’s booth at Anime Expo Los Angeles this weekend… maybe Kuro 2 announcement? Regardless, I’m excited to finally play this game, it’s been a long wait! 😁

What are P3A and MDL? I assume they're the new versions of PKG but what is the difference between them?

Edit: Alright I've done some digging and I think I've figured it out. MDL is the actual mod file, like PKG from previous games, but the NISA version of Daybreak also introduced P3A which are compressed archives that hold the MDL files. Correct me if I'm wrong

I've tried and confirmed lakovic's sexy&nude mod works with Amorow's common_shader.ini from unskirt mod.

Just need to download the original lakovic mod and the 3Dmigoto version of unskirt from this thread, then replace the common_ini of Lakovic's with the one from unskirt, and done, patched and working on Daybreak Nisa version, as advertised.

A big thank to amorrow28 for the update and instructions !

You are correct. MDL files are models. P3A files are containers with MDL files (and texture files, JSON files, etc) inside them.

Thanks so much for this very easy explanation. I really like lakovic;s body models so I tend to use them (usually just for bathing scenes but still) so I'm glad it's this easy. I'll still probably use coomi's mod for the Marielle scene, though. I feel like it looks a little better in that instance.

Is it possible to edit the existing 3dmigoto mods?

Oh yeah, that happened to me on the CLE version. Seemingly only for Agnes though. What's weird is it was working once before but even after reinstalling Agnes's shortcut stopped working.

On NISA version at very least doesn't seem to be working anymore for me either after today's patch.

Will need to progress to see if it somehow only touch Agnès too since SonicMan mentions it, but I expect we'll need yet another update of common_shader.ini

Free camera for Trails through Daybreak!

Daybreak_Free_Camera_for_v114.CTUnavailable

Note that this version is for v1.1.4, and will probably not work when the English language version comes out Friday.  It will need to be updated, be patient and I will update it.

How to use:

Enjoy!

Here are all my other free camera scripts:  Trails of Cold Steel (CS) 1, CS2, CS3, Trails into Reverie, Hajimari no Kiseki, Kuro no Kiseki, Kuro no Kiseki 2, Tokyo Xanadu eX+, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, Atelier Ryza, Atelier Ryza 2.  I also made a MinZ (*cough* upskirt) script for CS4.

Confirming that the script does not work with the English patch. Edit: I was wrong.

I am very confused.  Your post says you replied 47 minutes ago, but the quote is old (it says for v1.1.4) - I uploaded the new version of the free camera script less than 90 minutes after NISA released the new version...  Anyway, refresh the page, and download the new version for v1.3.3.

The 3DM version isn't working? I dragged everything into the directory but it does nothing, the 3DM menu shows up but all the clothes remain the same, the P3A files work, but I'd like some customization. I have no other mods installed.

Also, how do I get Agnes in JUST her pink sweater and boots? Is that this mod?

d3d11.dll should be in the same directly as kuro.exe. Don’t put it in the mods folder. You may want to share a screenshot of your folder, since we can’t help if you don’t.

Personally I’m using the 3DMigoto version so I can say it works.

I just dragged everything in the 3DM mod file directly into the daybreak directory as is, am I supposed to put anything anywhere specific or make any new folders? Because 3DM IS working, I can use the UI and everything, I'm just not seeing any changes to costumes unless I use the MDL version.

Also, my d3d11.dll is in the same directory as kuro.exe.

Maybe I included a broken configuration? I’ll check when I get back to my PC.

Ok, I checked to make sure, the configuration I included worked perfectly for me.  Just to make sure, this is what you did?
