One more mod before I beat the game... Karja in the rather famous VOFAN outfit from Trails of Cold Steel IV!  It comes in two colors, black and white (see preview below).  Disclaimer: Obviously I do not own and do not claim ownership of any of the assets used in the making of this mod.

To use the mod, just copy contents of the dlc folder and the mods folder into your Ys X's folder's dlc and mods folders, and then make custom tables as usual.  The costume can be unlocked from the DLC tab of the item menu.  All the costumes can also be purchased from either Holger or Ezer.

 

NOTE: Starting with Ys X (which uses the Trails through Daybreak game engine), Falcom no longer has a modular DLC system, so without making your own custom tables, you can only use one DLC P3A at a time!  Please see here how to combine the tables of 2 or more DLCs using the .kurodlc.json file included in this mod.  It is an intimidating process at first, but will become very easy once you do it once or twice.

Q:  Will this be ported to the CLE release?

A:  Unfortunately this cannot be ported to the CLE release, because the CLE release does not support new materials in the MDL v4 format.

 

Q: Can I request some variant, or some change, or some fix, or something?

A: I will not respond, but maybe someone else will.  I actually recommend you learn to mod, here are my tutorials!

 

Q: Can I modify this and post it here?

A: You can do anything you want.  I do not own these assets, Falcom does.

amorrow28-samaのMODを流用させて頂いております。 I am utilizing the MOD created by amorrow-sama.

Thank you for your comment. Comments from people who share my interests are very encouraging!

 

I am very grateful to the full nudity mod creators as they have always paved the way for me to create mods.

However, when I play, I would like to play with a character that is exposed enough to not destroy the world of the game I have in mind😆

Facing the same problem with bunny girl overwriting VOFAN :/

Trying to remove the bunny girl just crashes the game.

The bunny girl , battle dress chiarzim and the VOFan seem to be overriding each other. I cant seem to get a combination of all three working at the same time.

I put in c0210 since it was originally replacing mermaid and that solved it! thanks.

It doesn't seem to jiggle. I guess because it doesn't have bone assigned to the breast? I want to make it jiggle but working with 3D is beyond my ability.

In my game, bunny and VOFAN mods aren't overriding each other, problem seem to be from Battle dress chirarizm, I assigned new DLC ID to it and rebuilt the tables and problem solved. 
my grimcat edit was rewriting VOFAN too. I did the same to solve the issue. https://imgur.com/a/g1gwDcP

Hmm it'll feel like I take credit for those files if I repost it.
Since @amorrow28 wrote the guide for us I think we should be at least making our own combination of mods compatible by ourselves.

bro you gotta post your stuff. I am having so much trouble. I did create the custom tables, but its become a mess, with some outfits overwriting others. I have also given up on the grimcat version. 

How do you assign new dlc ID to prevent overwriting? Did i miss that part in the guide? I did not read it.

I'll try to come up with a solution to at least detect if not fix conflicts.  It will take me some time.

I tried made a html+jquery html file generating the json file based on current data structure.

 

Please note that warning msg will be shown while running kurodlc_make_zzz_tables.exe, It should be like

 

Validation of something.kurodlc.json failed, schema in CostumeTable is incorrect!
Keys present but out-of-order, attempting correction.
Compressing files...

 

Should be caused by the ordering of keys in the json file is incorrect.

update: it may supports CN, JP, EN currently.

you can drag and drop .kurodlc.json file on the page to read the content(only supports "each file 1 dlc", I'm not sure, as I do not have many kurodlc.json for test).

 

Please note that this one does not supports "put item in shops" feature, please use amorrow28's tool instead.

update: it now can recognize dlc_id and item_id that been used by the game(=collected from the tables), no longer need to get id every time. Though, it can not detect conflict with other json files. So if you want to avoid conflict, please follow guide by amorrow28 instead.

I'm sorry man I'm not really sure if it's ok to repost them. If people are ok if I post my whole mod folder with credit to creator then that's another story.

 

Step 3 and 4 

put all .json files from your mods in the folder and each of those 3 "find" scripts will tell you available IDs

head up in case people who read this face the same issue.
There are few problems I had with kurodlc_make_json_from_mdls, sometimes when I made an error, and it failed to create .kurodlc.json So I tried to run it again but it refused to run.

I fixed it by deleting dlc.json, .mdl.json (which are created by the script) and delete kurodlc_lib, kurodlc_make_json_from_mdls, kurodlc_make_tbls, Next, copy past the 3 scripts you deleted into Final folder, then redo it again.

Another issue I found is that kurodlc_make_json_from_mdls refuses to create anything and close by itself if I answer No when it asks if I want to put the item into shops. I have to answer Yes to fix it.  New version released!

sorry, I fixed that shop bug but I haven’t made a new release. Just grab the fixed version off GitHub.

I've updated KuroDLCTools to 1.0.8.  I've added detection of conflicting .kurodlc.json files (and it tells you where the conflict is), and I've added the shop ID fix.  Download the latest version of the tools here, or for most users - you only need the latest version of kurodlc_make_zzz_tables.exe which is here.

 

Now you will get a warning message when you attempt to combine mods with conflicts:

You will still need to fix the conflict yourself.  DLC ID conflicts are easy to fix, just edit the .kurodlc.json file and change the conflicting number to an unused number.  (You need to make a new DLC unlock key, of course.)

Item ID numbers are trickier, since there are a lot of dependencies; look for the number throughout the .kurodlc.json file and change it.  You can see 28008 as one of the item ID numbers in the screenshot above.  See the post below.

 

ONLY CHANGE FILES FOR DLC YOU HAVE NOT USED IN-GAME, OR YOU WILL BREAK YOUR SAVE FILES!  For example:  You have already activated my_amazing_mod_1 in the game, and then you add my_amazing_mod_2.  The two mods conflict.  Do not change my_amazing_mod_1.kurodlc.json.  Change my_amazing_mod_2.kurodlc.json instead!

Ok, I've updated the DLC tool to v1.0.9.  This update adds a data extractor for .kurodlc.json files, so that you can recreate the original work files that the mod creator has.  This will make solving conflicts easier.

 

I think it would be nice if all mod authors give permission to allow users to upload modified .kurodlc.json files, perhaps in a collection, if they want to.  I personally think this would not be stealing, because people who download the collection of .kurodlc.json files still need to download the original mods to use those files.  (I give my permission for all my mods, you do not need to ask me if you would like to include my mods in a collection of .kurodlc.json files.)

 

How to solve a mod conflict:

Download the full toolset if you do not have it.  Be sure to run install_python_modules.bat the first time you use the toolset!

 

Run kurodlc_extract_original_tbls.py to extract all the required tables out of script.p3a (or script_en.p3a if you are using these instructions for Daybreak).

I will use 28006, which is the original number before I introduced the conflict.

 

The conflict is between karja_doa_collection.kurodlc.json and karja_bunnygirl_outfit.kurodlc.json, so I will need to choose one to fix.  I will choose karja_bunnygirl_outfit.kurodlc.json because that is the one I altered.  ONLY CHANGE FILES FOR DLC YOU HAVE NOT USED IN-GAME, OR YOU WILL BREAK YOUR SAVE FILES!  For example:  If I had already activated karja_doa_collection in the game, then I can only alter karja_bunnygirl_outfit.  Altering karja_doa_collection will break my save files.

 

Go into the karja_bunnygirl_outfit and look through the .mdl.json files.  My issue is in c0316.mdl.json - its ID number is 28004.  Change it to the new, unused number (28006 in my case).

Finally, put your table files (t_costume.tbl.original, t_dlc.tbl.original, t_item.tbl.original, t_name.tbl, t_shop.tbl.original - and t_recipe.tbl.original if Ys X), kurodlc_lib.py and kurodlc_make_json_from_mdls.py in the folder.  Run kurodlc_make_json_from_mdls.py, and it will generate a new karja_bunnygirl_outfit.kurodlc.json.

Replace the original karja_bunnygirl_outfit.kurodlc.json with the new one you just generated.  You should now be able to properly make your zzz tables without any errors!

I tested your new version (1.0.8, not tried 1.0.9) of kurodlc_make_zzz_tables and for me is not working, not generating zzz_combined_tables file, so i back to previous version.

And i checked in internet in a open json online site all mods of json i'm using here and i will post to you:

There is a conflict - I can see that 28008 is used twice.  Follow these instructions (the post above your post) to fix.

Hey I know this sounds silly but could someone mod the Raven Avatar costume back into the game? It's taken off the store front and I really regret not downloading it.

this is .mdl file for CLE Release version.

Copy this file into C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Ys X -NORDICS-\asset\common\model

 

if you use NISA release ver, You can make your own .p3a file with p3a_tool.exe.
