apparently it is ya, its not massive like diznay just wokealizers that think they are better and funnier then creators and found some areas problematic like pronouns, gay guy, a certain character altered, maybe something about real race war, and things like that.

Idk the extent as I grow tired of reading and seeing such things, but its especially obviously true since as I pointed out all I did was ask on a couple reddits, if it was or not and got barraged by many sad people that are into "moderization" including woekalizers, with not even 1 person answering directly, just again indirectly as other wise, they would not be calling me racist and go touch grass and how sad it is I care for proper translations and I need to just not buy it then and quit everything etc... and instead they would have just said no it was not.

(Granted reddit is 1 the worst places to ask questions as that is their common reaction and they are in mass numbers on it, which I am still learning to what extent in locations I would not have thought, but ya :( )

Any ways not going to further talk about it here or anything just wanted to try and get the proper translation if possible, (also been looking for a save file for new game + but so far no luck with that since the couple I found needed a special limited time dlc in the other version of the game--> Think I found a save file posted here just had to beat final 2 bosses with 1 click and skip cutscenes).

Read that the fan translation (which I am still trying to find correct/best one) works on this just have to replace messages_jp.text with the fan_en then set it to japan text for language in game, but so far only versions of translation I found are launcher version and not separate files.

The Kuro fan translation was not taken down. It's still where it was even before the english nisa release. No need to imagine any "sell their viewpoint" stuff. Nothing is happening there.

As already mentioned, all the things you complain about, are nothing the localization added. These things are in the japanese script, these things are in the fan-translation and these things are in the official localization.

If you have any issues with pronouns, racial conflict, gay characters, .... then you have issues with falcom. No need for conspiracy theories, what woke western people are involved.

Don't say that too loud, Mondbl*t will here you and claim that the woke Western world is corrupting Japan's perfect purity of homophobia and sexism, which is what he thinks Japan is apparently. If it's in the English version? Woke localizers ruining the translation of the game. If it's in the Japanese version? Woke Western world oppressing poor, innocent Nippon, who wouldn't have done it if they weren't being pressured!

what the fuck is going on here nobody gives a crap what you think about the translation this thread is for mods not your whining

I agree, but it is unfortunately relevant when people start talking about "unlocalization" mods.

----------Main Female Characters Underwear Mod(DLC version)----------

K1UDWDLC.thumb.jpg.59cf289e55d66b3465592213aeb6ffdb.jpg

This is the DLC version of my underwear mod. It adds underwear outfits as DLC instead of replacing the original outfits. The DLC version only contains four main female characters (Agnès, Feri, Risette, and Judith). If you’re looking for a version that replaces the original outfits and/or an underwear mod for other characters, check here.

This mod uses DLC ID 324 and item IDs from 4003 to 4045.

Download:

K1UDWDLC.7z

Installation:

Place the “mods” and “dlc” folders to Daybreak installation location.

"UDWmod.kurodlc.json" is only useful if you have other DLC mods installed.

Check @amorrow28 tutorial if you want to use this mod with other DLC mods.

Here are basic instructions on how to use my tools to make tables!  I know it's inconvenient for users to have to make their own tables, but Falcom left us no choice.  There is only one set of tables allowed.  :(

For players who want to combine tables from two or more mods:

  1. Download my Kuro DLC tool here: https://github.com/eArmada8/kuro_dlc_tool/releases
  2. In your Trails Through Daybreak folder, drag script_en.p3a onto p3a_tool.exe.
  3. Inside the table_en folder, copy t_costume.tbl, t_dlc.tbl, t_item.tbl and t_name.tbl to a new folder.  Rename t_costume.tbl, t_dlc.tbl, t_item.tbl to t_costume.tbl.original, t_dlc.tbl.original, t_item.tbl.original, respectively.
  4. Put my kuro DLC tool files in the folder.
  5. Put p3a_tool.exe in the folder.
  6. Put all your .kurodlc.json files from all the mods you want to use in the folder.
  7. Double-click kurodlc_make_tbls.py.  This will make new tables: t_costume.tbl, t_dlc.tbl, t_item.tbl
  8. Make a new folder called "table_en" and put t_costume.tbl, t_dlc.tbl, t_item.tbl in that folder.
  9. Type "cmd" into the location bar to get to the command line.  Type "p3a_tool.exe archive zzz_replacement_tables.p3a table_en" which will make a new file, zzz_replacement_tables.p3a.
  10. Put zzz_replacement_tables.p3a in your {Daybreak}/mods folder.  This will overwrite t_costume.tbl, t_dlc.tbl, t_item.tbl from all the individual mods with new set of tables that combines them.  (Do NOT delete the mods themselves!  This p3a only has the tables, not the mods.)
  11. Do not delete the folder.  When you add a new mod, just add its .kurodlc.json file to the folder, and repeat steps 6-10.

for some reason I cannot get p3a_tool.exe to work. I keep trying to drag script_en.p3a to it but nothing happens and I cannot see a table_en folder created. any idea's about this? I've tried on both windows 10 and 11

I just tried this. Drag and drop did not work, but it did work from the command line: p3a_tool extract script_en.p3a

You need to keep the original "tbl" files in your folder.

So your folder should include:

t_costume.tbl.original

t_dlc.tbl.original

t_item.tbl.original

t_costume.tbl

t_dlc.tbl

t_item.tbl

t_name.tbl

p3a_tool.exe

files from kurodlc tool

kurodlc.json

When you run ‘kurodlc_make_tbls.py’, a window will briefly pop up and then close. Afterward, your "t_costume.tbl", "t_dlc.tbl", and "t_item.tbl" files should be updated.

This is a problem, .original files should be enough. I’ll address this in the next release! Sorry I’ve been busy at work, and I have also been hunting down an elusive bug in the cold steel / reverie toolset.  EDIT: Fixed in github, you can download the fix now by right-clicking here and picking Save As.  I have a few more things I want to look at before I push a new version.

EDIT: I've updated and fixed the instructions somewhat.  No more dragging the p3a onto p3a_tool.exe.  Sadly both p3a_tool.exe and sentools.exe work only from the command line.  I'll see if I can come up with a better solution.

Kuro DLC Tools updated to v1.0.3.  I wrote a script to use p3a_tool.exe without the command line.  Everything can now be done by drag-and-drop!

The instructions and download link are updated, and can be found here.

A small fix for folks using 3DMigoto who finds the incorrect shadows in dialogue portraits distracting and annoying.  Just put this file in your 3dm_mods folder.  (Warning, it gets rid of the sparkle in the eyes, and the fade at the edge of the portrait.  The latter can result in text obscured by portraits.)

I just noticed that amorrow28's KuroMDLTools has been updated a lot, and now it's actually possible to modify skeleton and animation.😅

I can try to do something I haven't done before.

I want to make a feminized Van.
although I've tried replacing Van with a female character before, due to the facial differences between them, the character's expression gets distorted, especially in the plot animations.
If I directly modified Van's model and changed the body to a female body, I'd be missing the physical jiggle of the breasts  because there's no corresponding bones.
But now I can solve these problems by combining a female body skeleton with Van's facial skeleton.

I've made some Kuro no Kiseki's mods before, and I want to build on them.
Unfortunately I can't find them, it's been a bit long after all.
So this time I had to start the mod all over again, which took me some time.

I used judith's model as a base and replaced the head with Van, the result is still good.

1.jpg.f0a8638306efa1a69b1f41e4e0c784f5.jpg

The character's facial expressions are not distorted at all and the chest physics are right on point.

I replaced the character's daily movements with judith's as well, after all it looks incongruous if a female moves in a male pose.

I modified the character's voice by AI, but it didn't work very well.
I don't know how others do it, after all, this is the first time I've used AI for voice transformations.

van_female_nude.p3a
The mods are p3a files, just put them in the mods folder.

van_female_voice.p3a
I only modified the Japanese voice, not the English one.

Finally, I would like to thank @amorrow28 very much , for developing so useful tools and writing detailed tutorials for us.

Toned Bodies mod updates

Mod files here

Screenshot2024-07-1202_34_06.thumb.png.cef75e23ae5ed0ee29a0b746aa440d8a.png

Since my initial post, there have been lots of updates that I have not posted about. I will keep adding to the mod as I play.

Most important announcement: here is a likely fix for a bug with Fie’s hands: Daybreak_TonedBodies_FieFix1_for0.0.6.7z

The mod now includes

Spoiler
  • Agnes: all costumes that I know about
  • Feri: all costumes except the towel
  • Default costumes for Elaine, Judith, Risette, and Fie
  • Paulette, Kaela, Marielle, Grimcat, Renne, Aida, and Halle
  • Minor NPCs: mechanics, punks, maids, strippers, bracers, and dancers (~16 models)
  • Multiple options for jacket and skirt length for many characters

Hmm I'm getting a virus detection for 0.0.8 from my browser and it won't let me download, both here and on Nexus. I can still download 0.0.7 weirdly. Not sure what's going on there. I'm sure it's a false positive but even with all of my Windows security settings turned off it still won't let me download.

I don’t know why that would be. It is just a bunch of p3a files and a markdown change log. The attached archive removes the change log in case that helps. I stopped including an installation .bat file after 0.0.5 because that was repeatedly flagged as suspicious.

Maybe try a different browser. I don’t think Windows security settings are relevant to what your browser blocks unless you are using Edge (or Internet Explorer, but don’t use Internet Explorer).

Yeah I was using Edge. I managed to get it downloaded with another browser then scanned it with Defender to see if it would tell me which file it doesn't like. But it gets through the scan both compressed and extracted, so I have no idea why it just doesn't like the download. Weird.

Anyway, thanks for indulging me, sorry for the confusion

Preliminary support for Vortex mod manager

With Vortex and the extension for Daybreak, you can download a mod archive and install it with a simple GUI that lets you choose options. For example, for my mod, the installer will ask you to choose one of the three options for jacket length for Agnes and whether to shorten Risette’s skirt.

Vortex will also check for conflicts between mods, show you the conflicts, and ask which mod’s files you want to use.

The extension will not be able to manage entire installations of 3dmigoto mods because those files are spread all over. It’s job for now is just to put the correct files in the Mods folder. This is enough for p3a mods.

I need testers

To help test the extension,

Spoiler
  1. Back up and remove the Mods folder from the game directory
  2. Install Vortex: https://www.nexusmods.com/about/vortex/
  3. Go to the Extensions tab in Vortex
  4. Drop the Vortex extension for Trails Through Daybreak.7z archive into the Drop File(s) box
  5. Wait for the extension to install and then follow any prompt to restart Vortex
  6. Go to the Games tab
  7. If Daybreak is not listed under “Managed”, search for it, hover over the tile, and click “Manage”.
  8. Hover over the game tile, and click “Activate”
  9. Go to the Mods tab"
  10. Select “Install from file”
  11. Select the TestDaybreakMod.7z file.
  12. An installer should open. Select “Mod Agnes”.
  13. Check that there is now a Mods folder in the game directory. It should contain some symlinks to p3a files and a vortex.deployment.json
  14. Play the game and check that either Agnes default or Aramis clothes have been modded

I would also appreciate anyone testing whether they can install the extension using the “Vortex” button on Nexus Mods.

Files

It eventually will be better to get the extension directly from Nexus Mods, but I am attaching the files for testing.
