The girls of Daybreak wanted to try out some cosplay, from DOA!  Four new outfits, as you can see above.  Thank you to the legendary @lakovic for the nude bodies that I used to fit the costume on, I hope he does not mind.  Disclaimer: Obviously I do not own and do not claim ownership of any of the assets used in the making of this mod.

 

*Note: The swimsuit, bra / panty set, and crop top / jean shorts are each available on all 4 girls.  The outfit Agnès has on is available only for her, because it was a gigantic pain.*

 

Upload replaced 8/30/24 with new version. Changelog below.

To use the mod, just copy contents of the dlc folder and the mods folder into your Daybreak folder's dlc and mods folders, and then make custom tables as usual.  The costume can be unlocked from the DLC tab of the item menu.  All the costumes can also be purchased from the shop right outside Van's office.

 

NOTE: Starting with Daybreak, Falcom no longer has a modular DLC system, so without making your own custom tables, you can only use one DLC P3A at a time!  Please see here how to combine the tables of 2 or more DLCs using the .kurodlc.json file included in this mod.  It is an intimidating process at first, but will become very easy once you do it once or twice.

  • v1.0a - repaired on clipping on Agnes' Super Sexy Sleepwear, updated p3a version to v1200

If I modify the imported working .p3a -> mdl -> .vb+.ib files in Blender and then export them as .vb+.ib and move them into the Kuro MDL Tool work folder, then the kuro_mdl_import_meshes.py throws the error:

The files I modified (hair, and body (05)) are, however, present in the folder alongside the (unmodified) files that it does process properly.

 

The modifications I made were, for example, giving her shorter hair. The modified files also import back into Blender without issue.

 

 

I am sure I am just doing something stupid, but I am at a loss. Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

 

 

 

Any chance you are using an old version of the tool?  I didn't add support for the newer plug-in required for blender 4 until v1.5.8.

Kuro MDL Tools v1.5.10 is out!

 

Changelog:

  • When kuro_mdl_import_meshes.py encounters submeshes with non-matching vertex group maps (vgmap), it will now assess for possible compatibility and, if compatible, it will rewrite the vertex group map to match the internal structure of the mesh.
  • Change the default value for complete_vgmaps_default in kuro_gltf_to_meshes.py to True.

Based off of the "Changelog.txt" in the folder containing "v1.5.10", I was using that one. I also tried v1.5.9 just in case.

 

However, I do not think it is the fault is of your amazing tool, as I was able to do the "Kuro Racequeen backport" without issue (even mixing it with the nopan version, at that) which uses "kuro_mdl_import_meshes.py" as well, before I ran into these issues.

 

 

 

By the way, thank you for all the work you have put into modding these games! It makes me look forward to Kuro 3/Kai all that much more. :)

Just as an update, not that it is super relevant to current-day modding (and I might still be doing something wrong, too) but I was able to import Kuro1 CLE mod .vb/.ibs from Lakovic/jmedia7 mods using an older version of DarkStarSword's "blender_3dmigoto.py", which once re-exported, do work with the new blender_3dmigoto script and I was able to import the meshes back into .mdl files leading to mods working with SGMSAA.

 

Entirely my bad for assuming future versions of DarkStarSword's script would still work despite the clearly listed "(tested on commit c6daca9)".

 

 

Hopefully this post helps out someone else that is equally stupid as I am.

hrmm, I don’t know why such an issue exists. I thought I wrote proper backwards compatibility in the newer versions, but maybe there is something malformed in the old mods.

Has there been any mods for the guys yet? Or anyone willing to do a comm for the guys? Like skimpier versions of outfits kind of like the girls?

There's a nude mod for Van, but I don't think they're compatible with the NISA version. Haven't been able to get it to working yet. It's under the "Kuro" thread.

I am a bit newer on the modding side, so I was hoping someone smarter here could help me. I am getting some weird shadows when I have mods enabled, and I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of them. Really the only mod I have installed is "sexy&nude_mod v2.0" (Unzipped and pasted into the games root folder) with the new "common_shaders.ini" pasted into the "Mods" folder. Did I screw something up with the install, or did I miss a step somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated.image.png.71e5043f49c6e812c9a286be3024c14b.png

It's published by NISA so I assume it's the same version. So these mods should work with it. Only version that wouldn't work is if it was the version published by CLE

 

Edit: To clarify, the mods in this thread should work with your version of the game. The mods in the other thread were made for the CLE version of the game, so they would need some fixing to get them to work for you, but there are instructions in the OP for how to do that

I've been playing around with jmedia7's nude mods, but the Grimcatz doesn't work for me. Can anyone help? All I have in my 3dm folder is the Grimcatz Nude folder and the Unskrit mod folder.

This is likely caused by a pixel shader override activating when it should not be activated. To fix it, press f8 to open up hunting mode, use 1 or 2 on the numpad to cycle pixel shaders, and when the shadows disappear, press 3 to copy the shader hash, and also take note of the value listed in the UI in the corner of your screen. Then, search through your mod .ini files (The offending shader is almost certainly in CommonShaders.ini, but it might not be) for the shader in question. Pixel shader overrides in .ini files typically look like this:

Either delete the entry entirely, or "comment it out" by adding a semicolon to the beginning of each line. I recommend you do the latter as it is easier to undo if you grabbed the wrong shader value.

Ran into a different isue with jmedia7's nude mods, this time with Fie. Works fine until you use her S-Craft, which then leaves her with only a floating head as soon as she leaves a clone/mirage of herself. Any ideas how to fix?

Can you tell me which page jsmedia nude mods for this game or on? Can't find them in this thread but I usually like his work.

Yes. The game comes with p3a_tool.exe. Run that on a p3a file to extract the contents.

Does anyone have an all in one folder of nude mods/sexy mods for basically all the female characters in the game? I've been looking through and trying a bunhc of stuff but each time I try a few of the mods arent working. Thanks in advance!

You might have some luck in the actual kuro thread here but really these threads are more for nude/sexy mods, you're probably better off looking on other forums for that kind of thing
