When I start the work and go up to the guest to ask if they want something, there's no option "How can I be of service?". I'm being paid for time but I can't serve anyone. It was the 2nd day of work after she offered a whore job and said come another day if you wanna work. So what's the problem?

 

Hmm, so what you are trying to say is you worked the first two days and you did not accept the whore job to continue the waitress job at day 3?

 

This mod works very odd to me.

The work won't start by itself. I unequipped all my weapons and magics and put on all the tarven colthes, the quest just won't start. At last I have to start the quest through console.

After I completed the second shift and waiting to start the whore work, Hulda said she need some test and "follow me", then she just stand there and won't lead me to the second floor.

 

Seems the event trigger part is very buggy.

 

The quest starts after the last line of dialogue. Please post your load order and Papyrus log so I can take a look what is causing the problem. My best shot in the dark would be missing USKP patches and/or mods which alter the tavern.

 

Quest should start at the end of dialog with Hulda, it shouldn't wait for you to equip or unequip anything. On last dialog option you recieve clothes, book and Tavern Work quest should start.

 

On that scene upstairs i believe Hulda is waiting for 2 new npcs to join you upstairs. Those 2 enter the inn when you head upstairs with Hulda and they should follow you right away.

Problem is it seems they could be interrupted by bard play - there is a vanila script that makes all idle npcs nearby to gather around the bard and cheer when he/she starts playing. Hulda keeps waiting for them and they wont ever resume following you after they are done with cheering.

When it does happen to those 2 - whole apps scene gets stuck.

 

At least its what it looks like to me. I dunno how it is scripted.

 

Well, they should not be interrupted by the bard because I've put them in the BardExcludeFaction. If they get catched by the bard then the engine messed something up with temporary factions.

 

In fact Hulda is waiting for them go upstairs and then starts also go upstairs. I made this so if the straight path to the stairs is blocked, the scene still feels smoothless. In my dev code I had changed the timing so there is no waiting time between those two actions.

The only time i got stucked at that scene upstairs it was because of that - i guess. I remember that when i got bored waiting for Hulda to do anything i went downstairs and found those 2 chicks there cheerfully listening to bards play. That was like who the hell is that?

Loaded an autosave tried again and it worked fine.

 

But that was long ago in 10.2b version.

Yep, like I said that should not happen and in 80% of the time it works they way I intended. But such things are really hard to discover what actually is messing up. My guess is that alot of such problems arise from a heavy plugin list which puts the engine under enormous stress and setups (Like putting them in the BardExcludeFaction) will be handled too late from the engine.

Annoying bugs and not triggering their effects will probably happen. Because we will use our own relationship framework which is very likely incompatible to Lover's Comfort. About Lover Victim I can't tell yet exactly if it will still be compatible.

 

That said, they are incompatible in theory. Of course it needs to be tested, when we have done our work to make sure what is really incompatible or where we can use compatibility patches etc.

 

Now I feel stupid, of course you're not going to know how incompatible it is, it isn't even finished yet and you can't know something like that without testing.

Thank you for answering some of the upcoming questions. The work shift depends on the MCM setting. A player has to work at least half the time of a shift to get paid.

 

 

Now for a quick update about our development progress: Our follower slowly takes shapes. We now have all the base functions tested and build in and now we are working on creating the quests/tasks for the follower. We have already the dialogues, now the next step is to create the quests for it and test the distribution those quests.

After a lot of work (I actually started a fresh new game and disabled a lot of mods) I finally got the tarven quest starts by itself, but now on the second day, after I talked went to the second floor and had "fun" with Anjica Windcaller, everything got stuck again. No more futher dialog from the two girls, nor any new dialog from Hulda.

I believe I found the key solution. You need to *SIT* before the bar table after the first dialog as she requested. She will come to you after complaining Saadia's disappearance, and then she will bring you the clothes, and the quest automaticly begins. You don't need to put on the clothes, and you don't need to start the second dialog by yourself.

Exact same bug happens here, the two you are supposed to meet are present...

But they are all sitting down on the chairs topside and does nada, same with Hulda, you are also relinquished control so not much action could be done.

Since this happens a lot, can the dev add a little "kicker" to the scripts that users can start manually when it breaks to kickstart it.

After the quest started and you have equipped the clothes and the boots you can go and talk to patrons which are sitting. They then will tell you what they want.

That is what I have on the list at the moment, I only plan on inserting the DD - For the masses after the DD load order, but this bug occurs without DD for the masses installed.

Hmm, odd situation. I don't see a mod which could conflict with that scene. Are you sure you have unequipped everything even weapons?
