Well.

Even with the BlackBook equipped, it seems that is almost impossible to use the "Working Girl" feature of Tryout. Is the same "client" to blame me just a fraction of second after I undress. And, if I have a follower, no matter if vanilla or custom, he/she immediately brings a weapon and then blames me too in the same manner.

The result is my body stuck, without head, while the sounds of some sex action run. Sometimes, the entire game freezes.

 

Edit: Not talking about that the "exclude" option, that should let me do what I want do, must be applied on "each" one NPCs, named or not, in the "range of sight". I did some with the Kings but it was a pain. A lot of time wasted for nothing.

Finally, the exclude option doesn't applies at all to Willow or other custom companions, so they must be left far away if I decide to be a whore for some time. A bit boring and complicated.

 

So then, it's time to decide which one of these mods are to be played.

 

Hmmmm .... Difficult choice, really. As I wrote before, I like the features with Kings and Khans. They are funny. Also the Working Girl is a funny and interesting feature. While the other (Legion, PG, slavery in general) are not things I'm interested on.

 

At the same time, I like the "romantic", traditional idea behind this mod. I like the "semi real" relationship this mod could make.

 

Decisions, decisions .... 

 

Exclude option to solve that issue would be insane...a lot of people have "repopulated wastelands" and "populated casinos" installed ;D

Since that morality feature is the only thing that makes SODR and Tryout enemies I would wait a little...maybe T will provide an option to disable it one day ^^

I don't have small/er talk installed.  I've had generic Omerta Thugs hit on me...which ended up just starting a conversation, saying one of their regular lines, and then going on with their lives.

 

I believe that T! has both Repop mods (I don't know how many of them that there are) installed.

 

You generally get hit on if you're walking, not running.  That may help prevent approaches.  Probably not people bitching about public sex.  I know that he did fix it so that the person that you sleep with doesn't complain about you being naked afterwards.

I'm not entirely sure what that means.  There are stalkers in the mod, but I don't know how exactly they work.  They were less likely to approach you if you have a companion with you, and if they do attack you, a companion or nearby person may save you.  It might be seeing the sex act as a stalker event, but I don't know.

I'm no longer able to use: SexoutSex, Sexout Solicitng, the "normal" part of mSex Veronica and so on without being interrupted by "moralists".

Every sex act is broken after half second. One billion of people rushes to blame me for everything, everywhere.

Absolutely unplayable.

Clean Save/Restarts:  If you're testing this WIP/Not yet ready for prime time/Not yet in the downloads section copy, you can expect this to happen.  It's part of the process, it is not intentional, and there are ALWAYS new goodies on the other side of this obstacle.  Unfortunately there aren't too many ways around this at this stage of development.  Either A. Don't load this mod until you get to a save point that you can live with, B. Wait for me to make a clean save/restart (If it's needed, I have to anyway), I may be able to change things to avert it, or C. Don't load this mod.

At this point in development, rescuing save games MUST take the lowest priority.  When my responsibilities shift from primary development to support, at that point I'll do everything I can to rescue save games.  I just don't have the time to do both right now, mainly because this mod is currently subject to MAJOR changes on any new copy.  Think of it this way.  I can spend 1 day on dev and 3 days on support every time I make a change, or I can spend 3 days on dev.


Conflicts with other mods: This mod began as my own replacement for every Sexout mod that I was using that provided sex without substance or context, or provided sex just for a cheap thrill, or provided sex in a quest like repetition so that you always know what to expect and can pose it at will.

That being said, any mod that does any of those things will probably not get along with this mod.  ie. This mod has stalkers. If you add another mod that has stalkers, you're not gaining another set of stalkers, you're canceling this mods stalkers out.

When this gets to the downloads section I will start working out conflicts and adding them to the OP.  Some I will probably try to work in solely for their quest value, others this mod will flat out replace them.  Everything in the OP currently is intended to be permanent, which is why I haven't added conflicts yet.


Pop-Ups: They are meant to be short, because they are indicative of 'glances'.  I can't account for languages, but think of it this way.  If you look away, or aren't paying attention, you risk missing the opportunity to catch someone looking at you.  Speaking for myself, it has been a learned response.  ie. At first I wasn't able to catch what that last message said, but after 300 of them I begin to recognize them for what they are without even focusing on them.

Also they come far too often to lengthen, without the risk of concealing messages from other mods.  Not to mention that missing them acquires no negative factors at all.


Custom Companions:  I would like to account for as many custom companions as possible.  However, if they already have their own relationship system built into the companion, I think it's best to let the companion authors system over ride this mod.  When someone brings their favorite companion to the thread to test things and help me work them out like Nyaallich has done with Charon, I will gladly make changes to accommodate them.  If not, then there you are.


Quest-Like Elements: Yes there will be many quest elements added for the sake of tracking, including the ones that were in the prototype and more.

I thought about how it would be cool if you could perform other ways since there are animations for guitar and singing...a la...the Become a Bard mod for Skyrim.  Of course, I was thinking of this as something to code and share outside of LL, though probably without stripping unless it was more "raunchy dancing in outfit of your choice."

It was my script.  The only dancing I use SO calls on is voyeur sex.

 

No that sounds good.  I'm sure it could be worked in.  Though I'm not sure how responsive different acts should be in different locations?  ie. I'm not sure you should get a warm welcome playing guitar at the Wrangler.  Unless maybe you're playing guitar nude...  I just keep imagining Joan Baez doing a set at a casino/pub/whorehouse and it doesn't make sense.

I loved the dancing feature in the prototype. Coupled with the growing reaction system this could make for some interesting situations.

 

But the singing and guitar playing sounds interesting too. I'm thinking El Mariachi here.  This might be something worthwile for characters with less exhibitionistic sides (like your average male character for instance?!) Double-standards, I know...

 

As for the venues, you could exclude certain cells and/or add an option to bar owners to give you a "license" to play in their bars, (if they like you enough, high rep, etc.).

Wasn't that a scene in Forrest Gump?  Also, I think that the Atomic Wrangler may be hurting for entertainment more than the Tops.  : D

 

I was thinking of these things as roleplaying possibilities...a "Become a Performer" counterpart to Skyrim's Become a Bard, which has several features that obviously wouldn't be part of NV.

 

Not that you have to build this stuff into DRL.  It would work well as a mod on its own.  I have different ideas for it (nothing written down yet).

Well I mean the function to perform is there (will be again) so it would be nothing to add more varied acts for those who don't want to sell themselves for sex.  Outside of that I'm not sure how much I want to go into detail, as this mod relates mostly to sex, and the relationships around sex.  So 'Follies' is a perfect fit, whereas 'Star of the Stage and Screen' doesn't necessarily relate to a sexual relationship, though it could.

 

My intention with Follies was an attempt to tap into the 'sexual icon' aspect of relations.  Therefore, I'm focusing on a single genre of performer, the 'sex symbol'.  However, I do see this genre as a very broad categorization.  It gives me a fairly wide range to work within, from hardcore, all the way to tongue in cheek burlesque.  Which in turn allows the PC to dabble in the more 'innocent' seeming activities.

 

So I guess that's where I would draw the line on that sort of thing.  If it doesn't revolve around sexuality/intimacy, I'll probably leave it to someone else.  Though they could easily tie into the tracker.

A serenade.  That's a wonderful idea!  Not just for the PC, but for the NPCs to spring on the PC as well.  Added to my notes for planned activities.

Update in the OP.  Public sex offense should run smoother now, and at a much lower volume.  Some of it was broken causing all kinds of mayhem.  Public sex offense was conflicting with public nudity, now they're combined so that you get all the checks for public nudity that you do for public sex.

 

Tips:

- Not good aligned, same faction as partner, won't bother you.

- Not good aligned, same faction as player, won't bother you.

Barring the above:

- Cowards will leave.

- Confidents will protest sex, and may or may not protest nudity.

You're more than welcome to come up with something.  Though you might want to wait until I at least get the basic function in.  I'll probably complete the function with some sample music that players can then customize.  Then you can either hand it to me and I'll include it or release it as your own customization.  I also really want to add a soundtrack feature at some point that players can customize for various moods.  But that's a bit down the line.

that are public domain; I think the cutoff is around 79 years or so. I could just

do some old folk/western stuff, like Red River Valley. It would be cool if

'I Don't Want to set the World on Fire' is in the public domain

Curious:  I was testing the Bangatron! and performed non-con sex in front of a bystander.  After the act, the NPC said "Insult female."  Curious if that was just for being naked or by performing an unethical act.

You'll know if they protest sex.  They'll stop the sex.  If they didn't, then it was probably nudity.

 

Right now it barely accounts for sex by other mods.  What it still doesn't do is apply the partner ref to the 'offender/rescue' scan.  Which means it cannot do checks (like factions) that allow you to get away with it conditionally, yet.  Which in turn means that sex initiated with other mods will currently always return a meddling NPC if they're in range and they notice.  This will be fixed at some point.

 

Currently I've been trying to work out multiple NPCs competing over the PC (doorway to love triangles).  More to come.

 

EDIT: OK try the new one.  Sex initiated by other mods shouldn't trigger cock blockers now.  Though it may still trigger nudity, depending upon the NPC.
