t3589 Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 Yay it works! (only tested on Charon) He's neutral, and I'm currently neutral. I usually play good (although some motherfuckers deserve to be offed). I'm working towards playing my first Legion playthrough, and while I realize that the devs weren't given enough time to make the Legion more rounded instead of "the bad guys," I'm expecting my karma to drop. : P EDIT: How do karma difference work? Is it just that good/evil are incompatible, or does neutral factor in as well? So it was essential? Strange. Alignment differences are to be applied to beginning a relationship. It still needs some work though, but when it's complete it shouldn't apply retroactively to lover/committed relationships. I do plan on adding complaints from those NPCs though. ie. If you're already in a relationship, and you turn an opposing alignment, that NPC will then complain about it, instead of flat out turning incompatible (though they may quit you eventually, if you manage their complaints badly). NPCs not in a relationship on opposite sides will turn incompatible.
ChianasGeek Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Glossing here as well. trying to catch up, but... T: public nudity, huh???
nyaalich Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 T!: Unrelated to DRL, but thank you for the mention of the usual checks. I forgot to add getdisabled to one of mine. @BW: Awesome call on the essential thing. I thought that it was going to take at least 20 agonizing posts of T! and I checking/changing different things to figure out why tf it wasn't working.
nyaalich Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Hilarious. Testing the Bangatron!. Pick Charon. Sex happens. Forgot DRL was on. Post-sex, bitches at me to "have some decency."
t3589 Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 lol Yeah I probably need to work on that. I've narrowed down who it affects some, but still have to account for sex initiated outside this mod. He must be high confidence, because only they will confront you about it. @ CG: Should public nudity not be accounted for, or should it just be accounted for differently? I know if I went somewhere and there was a naked guy standing around I wouldn't hang around long. lol
BruceWayne Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Heh, I've registered an armor with clothing eval, uneqipped it closed the pip boy and reequipped it in front of the GS store. It literally took me only a couple of seconds. But apperently Sgt. Arkus from AWOP doesn't take kindly to strange people changing in front of the store.
nyaalich Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 FWIW, it was on a clean save for DRL, so nothing had been started/configured. Technically, sex was what unequipped the little black book. Out of curiosity, when you say confidence, are you referring to the in GECK actor setting?
nyaalich Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 I wonder/guess I should check if my quick clothes hotkey provokes the same reaction. Maybe there should be some timed check? If time > 1 or 2 second, then it's public indecency?
t3589 Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 You shouldn't have to reclose the pipboy like the prototype. There's no delay so you shouldn't get the 'naked' look unless you close pipboy out while nothing is equipped. I change clothes all the time in public and never get the naked look. EDIT: Sex in public is a separate thing from public nudity. Though they get similar reactions.
ChianasGeek Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 @ CG: Should public nudity not be accounted for, or should it just be accounted for differently? I know if I went somewhere and there was a naked guy standing around I wouldn't hang around long. lol Neither/nor. I'm just perving Further. I'd be right with you about naked dudes.
BruceWayne Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 I think I've got quite "lucky" with the script evaluating exactly when I did that. I think the usual latency accounts for a couple of seconds to "get away" with it. At least it took most NPCs a bit of time when I was actively trying it out before.
t3589 Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 Sgt. Arkus is such a bitch. She's extremely consistent about busting my chops for public sex related incidents.
nyaalich Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 It's cause you cut her out from DRL in the prototype. If she ain't gettin' any, ain't nobody gettin' any.
t3589 Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 It's cause you cut her out from DRL in the prototype. If she ain't gettin' any, ain't nobody gettin' any. She was never really cut out. She's one of those with dialog problems. The stock dialog won't let any top levels show for some reason. So to have a relationship with her, you have to say goodbye as fast as possible and trigger SmallerTalk, then top levels show. I always exclude the vigilantes and heroes though. They have no greeting dialog, which causes them to rifle through the last set of dialog choices you just made with whoever, all the way to the goodbye, triggering everything that previous dialog did along the way.
nyaalich Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Cause the responses to the Greeting topic are set, iirc.
nyaalich Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Hooray! It's fun! Question: How are meals/drinks supposed to work now? Walking 200 ft. and not finding a seat is awkward/boring. In Vault 21, there were plenty of seats, but Charon thought that the better idea was to go upstairs towards the exit and then look at me like it was my idea.

In Vault 21, there were plenty of seats, but Charon thought that the better idea was to go upstairs towards the exit and then look at me like it was my idea. Meals now require that one of you have something to eat. Feeding them returns more value, than them feeding you. I just corrected the eat package in this latest update. I forgot to change it from editor location. See if it helps now? I also fixed the public sex/nudity confrontations on sex partners. You should no longer get that after sex (initiated with any mod). Let me know.
nyaalich Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 It was just released a few days ago and I haven't used it, but there's a pip-phone mod on the Nexus. Not suggesting it to you, T!, but more so as a possibility for others using the mod if/when the "I'm going to be gone a long time" functionality is enabled. It allows you to access NPC dialogue from wherever you are (don't know if signal is everywhere). Of course, as it says, it could be quest breaking. Whether or not the phone is lore-friendly is up to you. The 00 Red Cross mod (which one day I'll make a patch for...if I can ever finish the entire mod) does have you restore telephone connectivity, so you could justify it that way.

I'll check it out. I'm interested to see how it works.
darklord36 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Hello ! Just a quick question, do I need to start a new game each time I install a new version ?
NicoleDragoness Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 The pip-phone works fine, even if it adds to much un-named npcs for my tastes. (Need to clean the list often). About THIS mod, I think it could be the most interesting one here on Sexout Loverslab stuffs, but: 1. It interferes too much, too heavily, with some other Sexout mods like Tryout, Working Girl, Soliciting. It could be a great idea to have a way to disable/enable by hot key this mod or, much better, a "filter" to exclude some factions used by Tryout, for example. At least, it should NOT be applied to un-named NPCs like generic Kings or generic Khans. 2. Pop-up messages are, as always, too fast. I'm not english nor american and often I cannot understand the meaning. 3. It doesn't recognize "romantic" story already operative, like with Willow. Just a little question (because as non english user I've sometimes some difficulties to understand all): while my follower, Boone interrupted me (snaking inside a dangerous cave) asking me: "Fool Around". I'm not sure what this means. From my three answers I choose "Maybe" and, again, I don't know what I did. Wrong? Right? Edit: Another thing. I'm a bisexual female player. Veronica should be lesbian. When I used the "book" on her, the mod continues to say that "this NPC is not ready .... ". Is it an error by me or by the mod?
BruceWayne Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I fundamentally disagree on the disabling of certain factions or unnamed NPCs. I wouldn't mind if the option was there, but they shouldn't be excluded by default. Tryout/slavery can cause massive performance issues for a lot of people, while doing a lot less (at least for the Kings), so many people are not using it anymore. However, if you want to play the tryout parts and don't want this mod to interfere, you just need to equip the black book. If my understanding is right, NPCs won't approach you as long as it is equipped. There is no way for this mod to account for romance quests of third party mods like Willow or Doc Mitchell. If you don't want this mod to affect those NPCs you can exlude them with the book.
NicoleDragoness Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Thank you Bruce for your explanations. I'm relatively newbie about FNV and I still need to understand well how things run. In fact, I use Tryout ONLY for Kings and Khans, because I had a lot of fun with them, while I don't like tryout with the other "enemy" factions (I consider enemies by default both Legion and PG, I hate women's slavery.).
BruceWayne Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Hello ! Just a quick question, do I need to start a new game each time I install a new version ? Only if T tells us to. The last couple of updates since the introdution of the "black book" didn't need one. At least I hope not. I'm only willing to start over every so often. Thank you Bruce for your explanations. No problem. I think at a certain point, T will include special actions for those factions. At least he did so in the prototype for the PGs, where your char could become a prostitute for them and/or had to be careful what you wear or they would become rather "unpleasant". It was not hardcore enslavement, though it added some moral ambiguity to the faction. I'm not sure how much this already works in the new version, but I think alignment (good/evil) and stalkers are implemented for NPCs, so it might already be possible to get into trouble at NCRCF (which you can mostly avoid, if you don't want to).
NicoleDragoness Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Well. Even with the BlackBook equipped, it seems that is almost impossible to use the "Working Girl" feature of Tryout. Is the same "client" to blame me just a fraction of second after I undress. And, if I have a follower, no matter if vanilla or custom, he/she immediately brings a weapon and then blames me too in the same manner. The result is my body stuck, without head, while the sounds of some sex action run. Sometimes, the entire game freezes. Edit: Not talking about that the "exclude" option, that should let me do what I want do, must be applied on "each" one NPCs, named or not, in the "range of sight". I did some with the Kings but it was a pain. A lot of time wasted for nothing. Finally, the exclude option doesn't applies at all to Willow or other custom companions, so they must be left far away if I decide to be a whore for some time. A bit boring and complicated. So then, it's time to decide which one of these mods are to be played. Hmmmm .... Difficult choice, really. As I wrote before, I like the features with Kings and Khans. They are funny. Also the Working Girl is a funny and interesting feature. While the other (Legion, PG, slavery in general) are not things I'm interested on. At the same time, I like the "romantic", traditional idea behind this mod. I like the "semi real" relationship this mod could make. Decisions, decisions ....
