I am doing the quest to earn all the jarls favor for Balazar, but there is no option to do so in the dialogue even after i become thane of that hold, am i missing something?

Sorry, this part of the mod is not complete. These will be shorter quests, but will still take a while to build, so I'll be rolling them out one at a time. The next version of the mod will have the Riften quest.

Ok, so it is safe to dismiss him for now? and play other quests?

The initial dialogue with Dinya Balu to start the quest is not appearing on my end (using ASLAL to start in Riften to initiate the Balazar quest to test things out), is some quests/MSQmilestone needed to kickstart this? If the dialogue is supposed to be available from the start, what could be the issue?

so far theres no bug that i encounter, not sure if everything working but i have smooth playthrough. my question will be is it safe to keep continuing saves with this mod version or if theres an update i will need to run save before i have this mod installed? also thanks for the mod

Yes. The Dinya dialogue should be available from the start. I'm guessing the issue is your PC is male. If that's the case and you want to try to quest with a male PC (with some inappropriate dialogue and animations), or if you just want to otherwise troubleshoot, then use "setstage Balazar_Dialogue 10" to skip to where you are to talk to the dog.

Yes. It should be. I've tried hard to design this version that way, and I'm 99% sure it will work fine.

I'm supposed to learn about Clavicus from people in the Dawnstar museum, but nobody is in there. There's 2 quest markers just floating. I figured out one was Silus and was able to enable him from console, but I don't know who the other is supposed to be.

Sorry. The Jarl missions aren't in the mod yet. I'll make more clear somehow which ones are active or not in the next version, which will include the Riften Jarl quest.

This is probably because you fast traveled (with a mod) directly from the interior of the shrine. If so, there's a trigger box directly outside the shrine door that you missed. You can go back and trigger it, or you can use "setstage BLZR_Quest 45" which is the stage the trigger box would have advanced you to. (Triggering the box will also generate a combat encounter.) If you're less than level 20, Silus hasn't been enabled yet per the vanilla game. So I added a second Mythic Dawn member as a back up to Silus. Both have the same quest dialogue.

 

I should probably figure out how to disable Silus' quest marker if the PC is less than level 20. I didn't realize it would point to a disabled actor.

I haven't tried it, but that mod uses SPID, and it appears from the comments in that mod that 1) it will work on mod dogs, and 2) it sets up SPID to replace meshes and textures for dogs that are DogRace or DogCompanionRace. Balazar in dog form is a different race: DLC1HuskyArmoredCompanionRace. But, the comments in that mod also say that you can add a line in the 'DISTR' file to specify new races. I've never used SPID, but I assume the SPID documentation would tell you how to do this.

As for the Jarl-related quests, I'm open to suggestions from anyone. My current thinking (rough ideas) is as follows, but except for the Riften quest, where I'm 50% done, I haven't really decided on anything. Some of these may be shorter, some longer, and the themes may vary a lot.

 

Riften - PC must go undercover as whore to investigate a skooma gang (Idea credit: wHOaMiEH)

Whiterun - PC must investigate and stop Falmer raids in the hold

Morthal - PC must uncover incestuous secrets to prevent a deadly vision from being realized

Winterhold - PC must help the Jarl get revenge on a College member

Windhelm - PC must entertain the crowd in the Windhelm Pit - let's bring back bearbaiting

Falkreath - PC must track down and deal with escaped werewolf

Markarth - PC must discover how Forsworn are entering city and carrying out attacks

Solitude - PC must find a way to deliver a message to Elisif's dead husband in Sovngarde

Dawnstar - PC must stop giant raids on town

Good point. The vision theme won't work in that case. I guess it will have to be investigating what Falion is up to in the marsh. Both Jarls have dialogue about that.

Hmm, and any content for "Solstheim"?
1) The Skaals have problems with the Rieklings' constant attacks. PC need help to end this.
2) Miraak cultists are still being met outside the city of Raven Rock. Show them who's in charge!
3) Miraak cultists have left Solstheim, but new ones have taken their place. Find out if they have bad intentions! (It turns out that they are cultists in our honor).
4) The remaining Miraak cultists who survived are looking for a new purpose in life and you are it.

 

 

After Harkon is defeated, the castle remains empty, but is it really? A new group of vampires has taken over the castle and wants to use it as a point for slavery! (Ordinary mortals don't go near this castle, so why would they change their attitude, huh?)

Good ideas. I always forget about Solstheim. And there's a lot of places and creatures there that are rarely seen.

Also it might not make sense if you go vampire side instead of dawnguard side. Its effectively your castle after Harkon's death, doesn't make sense that a bunch of new vampires would roll in to set up shop. However, brand new "Houndmaster" and "Gargoyle Crafter" NPCs would fit in on the vampire side and a "Troll Tamer" would fit in with the dawnguard side.
