Snook001 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Hi, I must say I'm curious about this mod and find the idea great. But I wonder if the mod is not getting in conflict with others. Let me explain: When I first met Angrim, I was disturbing him in his research. He then said he can help me and ask for a blow job. After the blow job I notice a magic effect ( I compared with an earlier save). When I talk to him again the only dialogue options I have are to renew the magic and the ones from the TDF prostitution and sex lab submit mod. I should maybe mentioned I have completed the Sanguin and Dibella's quests. Sorry for the following, the spoiler don't seems to work. I start looking around and notice some unread book (unread book glow mod). I Read them and received two quests. Am I supposed to find the quests like that or is Angrim supposed to tell me to do some other task first which will lead to those quest? I completed the two quests from the books and got the spell from the first book, and after the nap of the second quest (nap interrupted because of dangerous Nights mod) the event unfold but I did not get any magic effect or new spell. Only found a dagger on the floor. Is it supposed to be like that? Thanks for your impute and the mod.
stobor Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 That's all normal. The side-quests can be done in any order (or not at all). Though the Dalliance side-quest has a bigger payoff (new spell) for Succubus characters.

I'm curious can we use any succubus (like the PSQ) or the quest Dalliance will give the spell only with the succubus race you proposed in the op?

The Succubus curse given at start of this mod, do you mean the one following the quest Succubus lore? 'Cause I did that quest first then dalliance, but I did not receive the spell. Would it be possible that if I'm a vampire it would explain why I can't get the spell? Thanks for your mod, I love it .
stobor Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 No, that effect is given to Succubus race characters at the start, but can be gotten from Angrim himself in the main quest (not learned, exactly - more like inflicted). That 'quest' involves nothing more than interacting with Angrim. Repeatedly. See the spoiler in the original post about 'Care and Feeding', for details of the effect. What that spoiler doesn't cover is the upside of the curse: carnal magic becomes more powerful. When the OP says that spell effects vary by quest conditions, the presence of the Succubus curse is one of those conditions. Sanguine's Rose is another.

The second thing is more of a curiosity, I recognize that your current goals, if I had to guess, is get it up to date with sexlab and DDi, which from what I've seen requires almost a full overhaul of a mod, but I'm curious if you had any plans to further the mod with more quests or expand beyond the current endings?
Snook001 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Great mod, I just finished it. I must say it was a lot of fun keeping the spell effects active especially after prison time . Questions? Will you include (or maybe it is already) the PSQ succubus mod? The succubus race don't support ECE and force a round face to the character because it is supposedly more beautiful (sadly I don't agree). I find my characters better. I don't want to create any problem, I'm just wondering. A bug I notice is after the ending, my character had some nipple piercing (the Newmiller one) before the belt was put on. Now that it is remove, I still can't put the piercing back, as if the slot is still in use. Would you have a suggestion on how to fix that? I also notice that sometime regardless of the belt my character had intercourse with sexual partner (vaginal penetration). I'm using the latest Devious devices so I guess it is where the problem comes, but it did not interfere with the quest and she got her boost so it's all good . Thanks again for that quest, it was really fun, looking forward to start a succubus and doing it all over again. Kudos .
stobor Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Thanks. No plans to integrate the PSQ succubus mod - too much overlap, slightly conflicting interpretations of the same theme. A slot-still-in-use issue is most likely connected with DDI's "devices underneath" system. I just noticed that the default slot for that conflicts with the slot the Succubus Race uses for horns (60), for example. Easy to work around, but some folks won't guess that this is the problem right away. If your character managed vaginal intercourse despite the belt, the problem is most likely with DDI - though it could be something that I need to track down when I finally update this mod for DDI 2.8.0 (and Sexlab 1.5x). I'm frankly surprised that I'm not seeing more bugs that are due to the mod being out-of-date.

For PSQ; I was not thinking about integrating it into your mod, more like your mod would recognise that when PSQ is active the player is a succubus. Thanks for the quick reply it was very helpful.

My character is at -30% on leveling, very horny and in need of release but her magica is still at the top. Any idea? I did kill Angrim (had to use the console to make him essential 0). Maybe he should not have died (seems like he deserved it). Any we can do?

xijie Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 And remember that succubus satiation and sexlab arousal have, as far as I can tell without looking at the scripts, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with each other. That can be very annoying sometimes; I'm used to checking arousal levels at the press of a button, whereas I'm not very good at watching popups in the corner, so often the only time I noticed my succubus was at zero satiation was when she also had zero magicka. It didn't help that I have basically been playing my character as someone who started whoring at the Bannered Mare to get off the streets, then get training enough to be an adventurer. (And left home because someone had to stop all these vampire attacks. They were getting ridiculous.) So when she started 'taking lessons' from Angrim, she was a whore, hitting 100% arousal every day; by the time he'd inflicted the curse on her she was an adventurer, peaking at ~30 before slowly dropping back down to 0.

Satiation goes up a specific amount when you have sex, based largely on the type of sex, and then ticks down at a rate of one point per hour. Arousal has a much more complicated process which involves being exposed to nudity, being exposed to sex acts, time since exposure, and most importantly, the rate of change itself changes with time. Like I said, earlier in my character's 'career,' she was hitting 100% arousal if she went a day without sex - because she had three to six sex acts every night for most of a week, followed by one radiant quest for the Companions. (Her working hours were basically six PM till midnight.) At one point I looked at Sexlab Arousal and it said she was gaining 60 points a day - which means one night without sex would take her to 60, and another half day would put her at 100. Now she doesn't have sex enough to keep her magicka up. That's one or two acts every three or so days. I don't have any mods which increase nudity in Skyrim (as I see it, it's too dang cold for that), so that means no exposure to that, either. Her arousal rate is somewhere between 2 and 3 - it would take almost six weeks for her to hit 100%. By that point, she's been unable to cast spells for five weeks and four days, and that's assuming she had a massive orgy before she started. (Safe assumption. That's more or less what I was doing; 'oh crap, magicka is flat gone - at the next in, every one of the girls is sticking a strapon in my pooper.' Well, barring those who flat refused, and mixed with vaginal for some variety.)
stobor Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Yeah, there are reasons why I didn't just use SL Arousal as the determining factor: When this mod was first written, the SL Arousal mod was rapidly changing - often in incompatible ways. It was also causing notable performance problems for me. It would have been a very bad idea to make something like that an essential dependency. This is less of a concern today, but... The SL Arousal score is (as others have mentioned) highly variable in rate-of-change. This makes it unreliable for use in what is essentially a balancing mechanism for this mod. Every character is affected by arousal; the appetites of a Succubus are something more than mere lust. So it makes sense (to me) that it should be a separate variable. Now, whether it should be an entirely independent variable is more debatable.

I'm curious about trying shorter satiation and see how it goes (like 48 hours). With the spell max out, the time before expiration is the same as the satiation time. I'd like my girl forced to have sex to keep her magicka more that just keep her buff, and put more emphasis on the succubus curse, (We don't want her to forget about it ). In the worst case, she only need to find a quite spot and summon the Sanguine emissary to fill her up, would be nice to make her more dependable on sex (until now I notice the emissary always fill her up with large number, >20, is it because sex is better in Oblivion? ). Some Suggestion: Something wicked I'm thinking if you do a future update. If the PC has to use the emissary to fill up her magica, she should suffer a side effect which would make that option a "last recourse". ie. she can not use any carnal magic on the emissary and her magica would drain twice as fast until she find some living persons (could be a few specific creatures too) to fill her up or something else degrading. Also still if there is a future update, maybe have the magicka drop with her satiation. ie. with 90% satiation she only have 90% magicka which would make all her adventure more dire. Maybe it would be too hard on the players, but if you need a test subject my chick is willing. Thanks again for your great mod, starting a succubus really soon to do it again.

stobor Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 It is base magicka that declines, so bonuses from enchantments or potions (or other spells from this mod) can still leave her with some reserves even when she's famished. How much satiation goes up will depend on the sex act, but anything will reset it to at least 10 (i.e. 100% magicka, but with no grace period). I'll think about making some extra drawbacks for 'feeding' on the Emissary, though I don't want to make Dremora immune to carnal magic. I am considering some small changes to satiation decline, but nothing as radical as making magicka decline right from the start. I do think that would be overly harsh.

It also contains a number of other small refinements, and it should be safe to upgrade mid-game. One behavioral change to note: plugs no longer place a fixed upper limit on the satiation score for Succubi; instead the score declines each time a vibration event occurs (taking advantage of new events made available in more recent versions of Devious Devices). This should provide more flexibility, while still making plugs a serious handicap for a Succubus. There were several other minor and not-so-minor changes, in the course of updating for newer versions of all the major dependencies, so see the version history for details. Enjoy!
Findout Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 stobor, a request for renaming the quests: AngrimBookQuest, AngrimBookQuest2, and AngrimBookQuest3. I was given a quest in a locked dungeon, used the stopquest command only it was the wrong one. Is it alot of work changing the names to the name of the books? I tried to reset the quests to were they originally were, I made it worse The hours of gameplay during the quests is fun. The cellar iworks very well.
