Requirements for switching to Regula govt are being Feudal or Clan. The Chinese govt is Celestial, which doesn't qualify. You could switch the requirement, but you won't be able to switch the govt from the inside, not without getting independence. You'd have to try just taking over the area yourself if that's what you want.

Set the religion rules to allow same faith slavery, and not breaking any other rules as I can see. Anyone any insight?

Then turn each mod on one at a time until the game stops working. Make a note of which mod it is and then continue with testing the remaining mods in case there is more than one conflict.

My game kept crashing and not loading a few times after I installed it. As an aside, my games have balloon people in them, and I'm sure which mod is causing that. Don't have CBO or EPE or any of that but I will frequently find characters in the world that look like the girl from Willy Wonka who turns blue. What might be causing that? Better Barbershops? Could exams be restricted to women only? Under the meritocratic government, Vassals somehow use different succession laws. Regula succession in practice locks titles within one family: if another family holds the title, my family can’t inherit; if my family gets it, our family basically keep it permanently. Standard succession allow all families, yet some kingdom titles with military governors somehow have very few candidates. There is also no way to change vassal succession laws. Candidate scoring favors young women (+1000) too much and heavily penalizes women over 30 (−1000), effectively overriding merit rank. Edited December 18, 2025 by Shays1233 1

I keep finding that after just a few generations in my games that pretty much every woman has it and its a little frustrating with the inevitable slowdown when so far breeding hasnt been a problem for my characters

Here is the trait file with the default set up for the trait. And this is an edited trait that leaves the health boost, but gets rid of the extra years of fertility as well as the boosted chance for twins. The # comment out anything after them causing those lines to be disabled. This will result in a greatly diminished trait while only requiring you to edit two lines of code instead of having to track down and remove everything that might be tied into triggering the trait.

CBO has to have the revealing version of the clothing mesh, so it only works for the base games clothes and some of the DLC (mostly the earlier ones, not the newer ones).

Is it something that is still being worked on or should it be functioning? I've charmed rivals and most of the female members of the Karling family but it's not triggering.

Edit: @ban10 I found the same issue that @a60869609 had where Contubernalis weren't allowed to act as knights and after digging around in the code I think I figured out why. This screen shot is taken from version 1.16.2 since that I know it worked back then and the requirement for being a warrior is coded as not having the "trait" Incapable which allowed the Contubernalis to serve as knights since the Contubernalis trait had the incapable status without giving the Incapable trait. In version 1.18.x they updated the code when adding in the exception for Japanese women to act as warriors for defense and now the code just looks for Incapable status. As soon as I commented out the Incapable status in the Contubernalis trait they were able to serve as Knights again. Here is a screen shot of the incapacitating status from the Contubernalis trait. I'm not really sure what effects the status has, though I assume it prevents some schemes and character interactions, so I'm not sure if it can just be removed entirely or if a replacement for it will need to be implemented. Maybe also make it Regula faith only? Hmm, I'll have a look, it should automatically turn Muslas into Tropaeum when you make them into your concubines (and the target comes an important family) 4
