Just finished my first ruler, and inherited on the son and i thought, why marry these old orbas? Im young what the hell. Enter the torrent of stress death wave from hell. Went from 600 to 53 dynasty members. 3 adult and 50 children. Did i do something wrong? is this intended? Marry the 70 year old orbas or else??? Or is this just paradox pro coding and cant be avoided.

do you have the 'no death cascade' mod? its nearly required for this mod

If you adopt the regula government, the mod just kinda breaks, cause the mutae corpus just stops working.  it may be because i dont have the all under heaven dlc.

MoD author said it's a work in progress, and to just use the regular admin government instead. And pro-tip, don't appoint your only son to any county position, because his wife will depose him and make him a monk

Where do I find the Regula camp buildings once I've adopted the cultists camp purpose? And can I adopt the Regula culture once the game has already started?

The Regula camp buildings are extensions of your camp main buildings.

You can't adopt the culture in game, but as a ruler there are decisions that allow you to adopt the cultural tenets. Need to be a cultural head though.

I've just uploaded two submods for Regula Magistri that may be of interest.

Regula Magistri Rebalanced is a set of tweaks that attempts to weaken the player and bring the buffs given by the mod back in line with those that exist in the base game.

Regula Quickstart Overhaul changes the quickstart cultures to better reflect their parent culture, and adds three new options for Norse, Arab, and West African starts.

Love this mod except 1 thing. Any way you can alter the script where female potential rulers divorce and imprison your male descendants? I want to play as a mortal male ruler but my best male descendant candidates keep getting overthrown and monked so they are removed from inheritance. I think thats it. I have another issue, but I know theres a reasonable work around for it. But just being able to reliably track my male descendants would be amazing!

start as an 18yr old norse adventurer and get the book, release the keeper and managed to end up jarl of a good chunk of denmark 8yrs later..... one hell of a way to start lol

Unfortunately the answer is don't give your male descendants land, or try to make sure your sons don't marry a mulsa but that isn't safe because it's essentially a viral disease you've created.

Is this compatible with Wicked Debauchery? Searching previous posts, someone found it wasn't compatible with the extended version of WD. But has anyone run this alongside Wicked Debauchery for a while without problems?

I've ran into a problem where I can no longer do the adopt regula administration decision after restoring the Roman empire as I'm now a hegemon. Unsure how hard it's to fix.

I haven't been playing and don't have a save where I am a hegemon to test this but you could try going into the regula_initialize_compeditae_succession_decision in the common/decisions folder and changing the = sign in the line "highest_held_title_tier = tier_empire" to instead be a >= so it reads as "highest_held_title_tier >= tier_empire". I included a screen shot below of what it would look like in Notepad. If that doesn't work you may need to wait until Ban gets back and in the meantime you can do your own manual elective succession by using the effect where sons with land get turned into monks by Mulsa so that you can control who inherits.

Edit: With the Mulsa workaround it can be done with baronies so you don't need to spend piety to get the land back and is pretty cheap if you want to trigger the effect yourself.

That's odd since as long as you have the Magister trait it should enable the proc for levels to change. Are you using the trait rework that Ban asked people to test? If you are then I won't be much help since I haven't looked at that code yet since I've been busy with other things so I haven't been playing CK3.

So I want to diverge my culture (currently Egyptian) to get the cool RM traditions. But for all of them (Famuli Warriors, The Magister's Bloodline etc.) it says I'm not following the Regula faith. But I am! Specifically, I'm Regula Magistri Africa. Also annoyingly Famuli Warriors also I need Egyptian doesn't have the Famuli Only cultural pillar, which of course it doesn't, but when I select Famuli Only in the diverge screen, it still gives me that error.

Also, unrelated, but what exactly are "Contubernalis courtiers", for the purpose of the Vilicus Contubernalis council position? Because it's saying I have zero.

Anyway, other than these problems I'm really enjoying the mod.

Sorry, one more question: for the purposes of The Magister's Bloodline tradition, it says I need Familia Paelex... how do I get these?

yeah I am, that was my first thought too

I wonder if it would be better to play this mod with gender roles inverted. Because you get a bunch of powers linked to foreign female rulers, but they rarely exist because most cultures have male succession laws.

Familia Paelex are Paelex vassals that are your daughters/grand-daughters/etc
