Omnishade Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 I added this to an on ongoing game and got sent to DwD through Simple Slavery. I've tried both the Thug and the Old Man quests, but no quests are added to my journal. Is that how it's supposed to work or isn't it working?

Yes, that's how it's supposed to work, there are no quests added to the quest log and no quest markers. The mod uses a bit of a unique design that way. I think the mod author suggests keeping notes or using a note-keeping mod.

For example, if we need to get a certain number of soul gems, does it mean getting them the traditional way? I got the impression this was a sexual version of the mod.

Some of the factions have their own resource you collect, or a way of generating the resource. Also, some of the factions are more sexual than others. If you're doing the one I think then souls gems from any source would be fine.

I am a strong believer in update compatibility and go to great lengths to ensure it is drag-n-drop compatible with existing saves for all my mods, unless explicitly noted otherwise in the changelogs 1

But I have replacers installed on them in the game, I know that copies of NPCs can somehow look the same as in the game, but I don’t know what entries need to be made in the CK for this

I have a good computer, not the best, but a pretty good processor, but it stutters and it's annoying. I had to skip the entire pregnancy period, in the end I deleted it and had to start the game all over again. HP is not save friendly. I play on AE, maybe this is the problem.

Therefore, I apologize for making this post - for it must be insanely annoying to deal with suggestions like these despite previous clarifications. But I write this because I believe that it might be rather easy to get it to work with Fertility Mode, at least to my eyes? Fertility Mode has a debug option that instantly impregnates the player, and I was wondering whether or not simply adding that function at the end of a scene of some sort would simply be all the compatibility needed? Unless I'm mistaken, and there's a lot more details needed, in which case please disregard this post!

ittybittybabyboat Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 (edited) I think a script broke on my latest playthrough, unsure how but maybe it has to do with a forcegreet mod (likely SLAP or BaboDialogue?) interfering with the dialogue. The dialogue for paying off the 5 black soulgems after being sold off to the Old Man through Simple Slavery++ did not show up at all for my run, but the Deadline still applied, and this bug doomed that few hours of progress. Sucks Is there any way to use console commands to add the dialogue branch to the cultist? Don't really mind redoing it but it'd also be nice if I didn't have to. If it's relevant, I was on v1.0 when this happened, I've since updated to version 1.2. I know for a fact that this worked properly before because I've done this specific quest before without problems. Edited August 25, 2024 by ittybittybabyboat
ittybittybabyboat Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 (edited) Am able to reliably reproduce this bug even in 1.2 by tabbing out of the dialogue (causing it to restart) rather than letting it keep going on until he finishes. Well, I guess that's a given considering how scripts fire off dialogue so I guess the solution is to just listen properly to everything. Just wanted to let you know that this vanilla Skyrim bug can affect the mod this way. Hopefully this helps someone else if they face the same issue. Edited August 24, 2024 by ittybittybabyboat

It shouldn't be a "sayonce" so you should be able to keep talking to him until it works. In any case you want dealsssstrangering at 2 for the "go get the gems" stage of the "quest"
ittybittybabyboat Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 (edited) Thanks for the quick reply, if I encounter it again I'll try that command but for now I took the opportunity to remove some mods off my list and just start a whole new playrhrough since they weren't working out for me. So, I'll describe the events as best as I can. 1. After the textbox about waking up in the Yolgrim Overlook crypt, I talk to the cultist who says "Welcome back to the living" but then I press tab to quit out of the conversation and he'll keep going. 2. I re-entered the conversation by hitting interact on him again but this time I had to select a dialogue option that says "What...?" and he repeats his "Welcome back to the land of the living" conversation. 3. After this conversation, he proceeds to all the regular dialogue options such as "Any soulgems I can borrow?" + "I thought this was a temple of Arkay" and all that but the "I'd like to pay off my debt" option never shows up.
