You mean for the SLSB conversion patch?

Yeah, you can use newer SLAL animation packs, you just won't see any new animations added in the newer SLAL version. Only situation where you might encounter T poses is when some animation files have been renamed or removed, e.g. when an old animation have been re-done.

SexLab P+ 2.11.8

  • Reworked collision logic
    • The mouth now opens if an actor is orally interacting with either a schlong, vagina or toes during animations
    • Schlong alignments are hotfixed at runtime to reduce clipping through pelvis, back, mouth, or hands
    • Head rotation is hotfixed at runtime to improve alignment during blowjob scenes
  • Added variable animation speed based on current enjoyment into SexLab
  • Added a new function to delete strip overrides to the Thread API
  • Added a feature in the MCM to toggle all currently visible animations at once
  • Changed the behaviour of the matchmaker MCM, adjusting the requested tags now properly updates all displays
  • Fixed Matchmaker tags not being parsed correctly when used to start a scene
  • Fixed the game sometimes getting stuck when a scene is started while in dialogue menu
  • Fixed strip overrides not properly being cleared when a Thread is reset
  • Fixed stripping sometimes failing to apply to an actor
  • Fixed legacy RaceKey functions returning "humans" racekey for human races instead of an empty string

About Collisions

  • Female bodies have to use a 3BA body in order for most exclusive collisions to work
  • The male body has been tested with Himbo and TNG
  • Creatures are currently not supported by this system, meaning they do not receive any alignment fixes nor are they recognized in blowjob scenes
  • If for some reason you do not like the adjustments, you can disable them in SexLab.ini by setting bAdjustNodes to 0 in the Animation section.
  • One of my testers reported issues with the male player model not correctly updating its bones. I currently do not know why this happens or how to fix it

What's next?

Believe it or not but the Roadmap for this project is slowly but surely coming to an end. Next to a handful of issues that will likely never go away because bugfree software is a myth used to brainwash you into worshipping second class propaganda projects, there are just a few more things that still need to be worked on. Namely:

  • Im currently working together with Vermillion to get some proper (hired) voice work into SexLab. There are 6 sets currently in the works, with different themes reaching from "shy", over "bored/absentminded" to "seductive" all making use of SLP+'s extended voice system. No ETA on this yet, but it will be happening (unless all the VAs get struck by lightning ig) and they will replace the current default voices
  • Creature collisions arent being forgotten, of course
  • SFX will also be getting changes and extensions. Likely using the collision system as a basis to support more (and potentially timed) FX types
  • Interactive UI elements, such as...
    • speeding up/slowing down scenes on command
    • making use of SLSB's branching logic
    • viewing the enjoyment progress of actors
  • Diagnostic/System UI elements, for example to...
    • More easily figure out why scenes fail to start
      • being able to manually still get an animation in such cases
    • Adjust animation alignments, location, ... more easily
    • Selecting if and which furniture you want to use during the scene
  • Furniture support (I got some fancy ideas for you drafted up here (No more rotating tables in the CK and manually placing markers everywhere))
  • Lovense Toy support which similar to the voice update will be done on the side once the API is completed

In a poll on my discord, you wanted interactive UI elements to take precedence, followed by creature collisions and then diagnostics. So my plan for the time being will be to get the UI drafted up and work on collisions while the assets are being made. Somewhere in between, you will be getting the voice update and Lovense support, the latter likely within the next few weeks already

Does this framework still requires converted animation? In the early releases, this framework was simply amazing as it was able to run with existing animations. Then they started adding extra steps in converting animations to work with this framework, that was a real pain. Is it still there?

Version Support:

SLP+ is compatible with any version SLP+ supports, independent of which versions are supported by SL itself.

  • 1.5.97 is updated to 2.10, there will be no future updates for this version
    • Scaling for this version has been disabled, enabling it will crash your game
    • There may be some instabilities/crashes which will not be addressed
  • 1.6.1170 is officially supported and will receive updates
    • This version is stable, and recommended
  • Any other versions are not supported

It is posted on the first page that sexlabutil and PPLUS are incompatible, you have to pick one or the other.

I considered to try this out. However, when I read that SLSB-Dev, which is needed to convert the SLAL packs, needs FNIS, this is a no go for me since I am using Pandora now (which works quite well so far with mods that depended on Nemesis, I have not tested mods based on FNIS, yet which I want to do now). Is FNIS really needed for SLSB-Dev?

If you want to convert SLAL animation packs to SLSB animation packs yourself you need FNIS for modders to create the behavior file. (You do not need FNIS anymore after you have created the behavior file)

If you use the SLSB conversion patch you need either Nemesis (human-only) or FNIS or Pandora.

May I ask how do I convert SLAL myself ? I have Anub's new animations from subscribestar and some more

To manually convert you have to start "SexLab_Scene_Builder.exe" (you can get it from discord), import a SLAL .json file, and then export it as a SLSB animation pack, and then create the behavior file with FNIS for Modders.

Afaik there is no tutorial or howto for Scene Builder, but you should be figure out how it works by playing around with it.

 

You can find more recent conversion patches on the Discord, btw. Maybe you do not even need to do it yourself.

And same question for Sexy Adventures, ZaZ, and DD NG?  are those all compatible now?  the github seems out of date

Yeah, the github and compat list is really what's keeping me from diving in and giving this a go. Like clearly this mod is a great idea and looks like it's the bee's knees, but since so many mods have DD/NG and Zaz as dependencies (MME, BAC, Devious Followers, Cursed Loot, SGO4, Submissive Lola, Simple Slavery, etc.) I just can't bring myself to drop them in favor of some slightly faster sexytimes. Like damn, I have entire playthoughs centered around those mods.

 

If the github is just out of date and I'm just full of shit, and most of those are compatible, I'm totally down with the sickness. I'll start a new playthough with P+ right now.
