PsychoMachina Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 The hair pack v2 contains new and updated hairs by Lux77 and their Elin hair morphs so they should still work with your custom followers.
Mud Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Hmm, well, it appears the hair packs use different esps than the old version, so some messing around is going to be needed if I plan on updating my hair files, I think.
PsychoMachina Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 I'll work on an all-in-one hairpack (without Apachii). I just need to sort out the various updates for some of those hairs before converting them again. I'll be integrating Lux' hairs with Elin v2 to eliminate the need for additional plugins and avoid any confusions. After looking at various hair packs and their updates, I'm starting to become confused myself.
samusknight2k Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Fair enough on the information regarding the new rules and all but the other question hasn't been answered still. Will the new elin v2 bodies use the same folder structure as the currently released Beta or will that change? Also will the file name change? Basically what I'm asking is if the folders used in beta will remain the same for now on and if the file will remained named TeraElin.esm or will it be changed in the official release. While I know the beta release is just that, a beta, I'd like to continue using the same existing character without having to start over from scratch if the file is completely renamed.
PsychoMachina Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Just to avoid confusion, I would like to point out 2 things: The term "Elin 2" will be used for the current beta Elins. Elin v2 or Elin version 2 will be used for the next official update which will include Elins 1 and 2 (Elin 1 = the current v1.4). So Elin v2 will include both versions of the Elins, their master files, and their folder structures. There are still some bugs to be fixed for Elin 2 so there could be some changes to folder structures and the master file itself, but I'll try to keep it so that it will not break anyone's current character and/or game. Also, in case anyone wants to know, the Elin NPC and Enemy, Summon Ring, Elin Mages, and Elin custom hairs will be integrated so that separate installations will not be necessary. The DLC Additions will still be separate and I'm still deciding on Rem, MiYa and YiKa. I know some people were having crashing issues with them. So there you have it, the "unofficial" official report.
samusknight2k Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Thanks PsychoMachina! While I liked the first Elin race (v1.4) I didn't like the setup and now that I've gotten used to Elin 2 (beta) I'm happier using that one. A few easy enough personal tweaks and everything works out fine! Only thing I need to do again is fix the voice. Originally I had taken every shout, tweaked the balance and pitch to make them sound a lot lighter and repackaged it to be the Elin voice. Sadly however I didn't save the files so when I had to reinstall Skyrim they were lost.

My current voice mod suits me well, but it was never updated for the DLC shouts.

As for the followers, I'll leave them as separate mods for now.
DoctorVector Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Crashes with Mika and Yika are likely due to memory issues as they are both standalone and should not interfere with other mods. Solution is to install the memory patch or ENBoost. This is especially true inside the Drunken Huntsmen, particularly when other mods add extra NPCs inside. This used to happen to me until I got the memory patch. I'm attempting to create an Elin replacer plugin for Tel Nalta. Not having much luck getting the separate replacer plugin to work despite playing around with the load order. Am I missing a step? Or must I resort to saving the changes into the actual Tel Nalta plugin?
JLouvenSlasher Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Just wondering if you could make a male version of elin.Well, can you make one?P.S. sorry for bothering

Or must I resort to saving the changes into the actual Tel Nalta plugin? You will need to edit the Tel Nalta plugin. Remember, a plugin can not access another plugin so the only way for your replacer to work is to either convert the Tel Nalta plugin to a master file and use it as a dependency or directly edit the Tel Nalta plugin to replace the npcs with Elins. If this is for personal use then go with converting the plugin to a master and remake your Elin replacer plugin using the new master. If you want to publicly release this, I recommend asking Ac3s first. Just wondering if you could make a male version of elin. Well, can you make one? P.S. sorry for bothering If you are referring to a futa/tg type male then I would think this is limited to the BBP and TBBP bodies. All other types can only be non-nude. However, I'll have to ask Ashal if even this is allowed. UPDATE Nude and Futa-type bodies are allowed as long as it does not look underage.
PsychoMachina Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 The All-In-One hairpack will be awhile. I thought using TES5edit to merge the different hair packs would save time, but most of the hairs are now glitching (head clipping/hairs on top of other hairs). I'll have to test each hair pack individually in my game then merge them using CK (happy-happy-joy-joy ) EDIT I'm dropping the All-In-One hairs and just try integrating them in Elin v2. I don't feel like making an All-In-One pack then repeat the process when adding the hairs to the Elin master file. Considering I'll also have to make and integrate the hairs for Elin 2 (they can't use the hairs converted for v1.4) this will be some undertaking.
nabaeru Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 @PsychoMachina Hello PsychoMachina. I am just passing here and I want to ask do you still have True Elin voice (generic Tera voice of attack and shout) from Elin Race back then? I followed your past links to them but they are dead. May you provide me a link to download them? On another note, is it possible to apply (No more ugly bronze shine mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29791) and (Sporty Sexy Sweat mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28946) to my Elin body? I use the 2013Nov01_Option_NewElinBodies_BBP-TBBP_v2.7z variant one.

I use the 2013Nov01_Option_NewElinBodies_BBP-TBBP_v2.7z variant one. I have a few of the old voice files. This is the only one labeled "True Elin". TrueElin_HighVoices.7z Here are the rest if you want to try them. Elin_voice_v2.2.7z ElinRace_SoftVoice.7z ElinRaceVoice_ElinVoice.7z The "No Ugly Bronze" and "Sporty Sexy Sweat" files will work with the Elin bodies. (Sorry, English is not my native language) Could anyone tell me why these appear blue circles above the eyes? Not the first time it happens and whenever I start a new save after a while reappear I know there are magic effect bugs and this could be it. This tutorial might help you. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/872861-tutorial-removing-unwanted-magic-effects-from-the-player/ Honestly, I never had this problem before so I don't know the exact fix. Hopefully, the tutorial will help. Also check for any mods you have that adds that effect.
Mud Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 The Unofficial Skyrim Patch should have prevented that bug from occurring. Better make sure you've got that installed.
PsychoMachina Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 That reminds me, does anyone know if the latest USKP fixed (rather unborked) the A Night to Remember quest? The latest I have is v19.2.0.0a and when Sanquine transports me back to the Bannered Mare, the game CTD, but if I install the previous USKP, I can finish that quest.
PsychoMachina Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 Anyone willing to test Elin v1.5? ALPHA Release 1. Merged ElinRaceTaint.esm and MikuElinHair.esp. Used the patched ElinRaceTaint.esm from the Elin NPC and Enemy mod; will work with or without that mod. Bugs Some Tera Elin hairs will have holes where the ears are missing. Not really a bug. The patched ElinRaceTaint had the same and was meant to mix hairstyles with different ears (and without) for the NPCs. Some hairs will might look glitched (render bug). I have noticed this is not consistent and using showracemenu or restarting the game will somehow fix them. Not all hairs are affected. If installing this ElinRace.esm, make sure to do the following: Move ElinRace.esm (v1.4), ElinRaceTaint.esm, and MikuHairElin.esp to a backup location. Install ElinRace.esm (v1.5 ALPHA), but do not reinstall ElinRaceTaint.esm and MikuHairElin.esp because those 2 files are integrated with the race master file. You do not need to do anything with the Meshes/Textures/Scripts. Elin Race Master File v1.5 ALPHA ElinRace_v1.5-TEST.7z I just did a cursory test and nothing broke so if no one is experiencing problems associated with the new master file, I'll go ahead with merging the Elin NPC and Enemy, Mages, and Summon Ring.
fundementals Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Ah I can't wait for the hair pack! ^^ I've been wanting a new hairpack for awhile. I use the regular hairs the mod gives you... for some reason Apachii and etc. doesn't like my elin's head.. and meshes wierdly. =/ Oh is the Elin mod compatible with ECE or Race Menu? Face wise? Like.. I want to try making my elin face alittle more cuter, but can't really seem to do anything have the same face. Like I can change the eye position and stuff but not really detailed things... basically I want to try making my elin face into a monli-like face.
Smokermegadrive Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I have tested the merged plugin for about an hour and in 3 different dungeons and i didn't have any issues, also the hair doesn't have any clipping issue even those added in the optional packbut there some problems-Elin Race Idle and Elin Voice doesn't work with this plugin-Any Elin NPC mod makes the game to crash before the main menu appear (tested with elin npc replacer and heartfire replacer, even deleting the master dependency of elintaint.esm with tes5edit didn't work)-Loading a game of a elin v1.4 character will make them to change in a bugged nord race (can be temporary fixed with alternative race menu)But since is an alpha for testing i expected something to happen XDHope you find this useful

I guess you mean the updates because Lux77 updated here hairs, also, I'm thinking of replacing the Numenume hairs with the original J hairs which contains some of the hairs Numenume added to his hair pack. Elin 1.x is not compatible with the extra face sliders from ECE and RaceMenu. Elin 2.x does come with it's own CME morphs so there will be some extra face sliders for ECE and RaceMenu. Is this what you want to achieve? I have tested the merged plugin for about an hour and in 3 different dungeons and i didn't have any issues, also the hair doesn't have any clipping issue even those added in the optional pack but there some problems -Elin Race Idle and Elin Voice doesn't work with this plugin -Any Elin NPC mod makes the game to crash before the main menu appear (tested with elin npc replacer and heartfire replacer, even deleting the master dependency of elintaint.esm with tes5edit didn't work) -Loading a game of a elin v1.4 character will make them to change in a bugged nord race (can be temporary fixed with alternative race menu) But since is an alpha for testing i expected something to happen XD Hope you find this useful I have a feeling the problems are the result of using TES5edit to merge the mods. I attempted to merge Elin 1 with Elin 2 and TES5edit deleted some of the records. Elin 1 - ElinRace - ElinRaceVampire Elin 2 - TeraElinRace - TeraElinRaceVampire During the merger TES5edit deleted ElinRaceVampire and TeraElinRace. Maybe it saw those files as redundant and removed them. I'll give this one more try only this time doing it manually with CK. If this does not work then I'll just push this project aside and start on Elin 2 or Girls of Tera. Thanks for your help Smokermegadrive.
Comnislasher Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Uhh... Elin packs contain any new animation? Because my elin for some reason hold her left sword in reverse grip.
PsychoMachina Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 There is the Elin Idle and the BBP/TBBP animations (when installing those bodies), but they don't affect how she wields weapons. The skeletons are edited for Chesko's Belt-Fastened Quivers and Dual-Sheath Redux. I'm guessing your situation is related to Dual-Sheath Redux. Either the problem is the sword mesh or you need to run the patcher again. Also, are you using any other types of animation mods? If those animations affect the vanilla races, they will also affect the Elins. EDIT Did you run FNIS generator? If it works, it works, if not, no harm done.
Comnislasher Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Either the problem is the sword mesh or you need to run the patcher again. It affect ALL weapons. Not some single one sword... I'm only using Pretty Combat Idles, but I'm pretty sure that left weapon reverse grip not included in it... Mysterious...
PsychoMachina Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 This is new to me. I haven't experienced anything like what you described since FO3.
