Try disabling your Bodyslide output and see if it still crashes. If so, there's something in the output that is causing it to crash. What I did is make a temporary folder somewhere and drag half the output folders from the mod and throw them there and try to recreate the crash. I fit works, you know that one of the ones you removed is causing the crash, so just take half of those and put them back and repeat until you figure out which one is causing the crash. My error log looked very much like yours, so I'd expect that's what it is. @Aylis This looks like it would be a good addition to the CC patch section. I store all unused keys and notes/letters in Lakeview (either key-board at the door or the letterbox upstairs). __________________________________________________ For those having issues with Haelga i'll add Haelga NPC Replacer (just below the Fjotra replacer). Added a video with a lot of mods to improve FPS to 'Tips and Tricks'. 'Can be flagged as ESL' is redone. Courier Delivers to NPCs is very nice. Now he has other work to do than to annoy us with another letter/note/whatever. __________________________________________________ Rework of 'Physics and Animation' is almost done. Khaizer Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 (edited) Hey, I'm asking here because I can't find an answer to my problem anywhere else: My xLODGen fails everytime. it gets stuck while creating a texture, and I try everything but nothing seems to solve the problem. As you can see, it generates without any problem, but then it gets to that part and stops. I waited 5 hours but nothing gets done. It's working on the process, I have enough space on my drive, enough memory and everything. It's been 3 days trying to solve it but nothing works. Here is the list of what I did and tried: - My xLOdGen has the -sse and output argument correctly and it's in a Modding Tools folder inside the root of my SSD. - I added xLODGen, XLODGenx64 and the two other TexConv to the exceptions on my Windows Defender (I don't have any other AV). - I tried disavbing the real-time protection of Windows Security but it changes nothing. - I have reinstalled all the mods multiple times and checking your modlist just to be sure it wasn't corrupted file. - Tried different versions on textures/terrains/LODS mods where I wasn't sure which versions to get or boxes to tick because your modlist didn't say anything about them. The final modlist is about respecting to the best what you say, and in doubt I didn't get parallax versions or additional files from the modpage if you didn't precise it. I can't be more "Lore-accurate" to your modlist as I am right now. - I tried changing the compressions like B7Max, but it's the same result. DX5 is worse because the software needs to abort before it's finished. - I tried the XLODGen version in x86 but it can't generate the atlas textures and it has many problems (including memory errors so I had to generate one world at a time). - I have all the permissions of my drive. - All the XLODGen related .exe (Texconv too) have administrator privileges, MO2 too. - My original steam game files are clean, I even tried multiple times to repair them and had to redo the whole process of launching the game to generate ini files, configuring them with BethINI, replacing the manual files related to engine fixes, ENB, etc just to be sure. - Someone said the "Valhalla" mod can get problematic with TexGen so it needs to be disabled before generating, but it did nothing except waste my time. Also, even though at the time of this post my problem is getting stuck on this specific line at the bottom of the picture, it can change. Right now I am stuck at "e:\modding tools\dyndolod_terrain_output\textures\terrain\tamriel\tamriel.4.-20.-36.spr_n.dds" for 45min, and I bet it's gonna get stuck forever, when any other line took only half a second. My load order is correct, and the last mods are FNIS Output, Nemesis Output and Bashed Patch respectively. What can I do? What didn't I try? Online everyone is just saying to add the softwares in exceptions of Windows Defender, but even when I tried to deactivate EVERYTHING related to security on my computer (Don't try this at home kids), it didn't care and still blocked on textures generations. Have you read the instructions/watched the video of DynDOLOD how to install it? Especially where not to install it? Have you made sure there's no version mismatch for the files of DynDOLOD? Enough room on the drive(s) for temporary files and the permanent ones? I have also found that Avrusa Sarethi at Sarethi Farm has an issue with the Sisterhood of Dibella and Nithi Riften. (invalid textures and head parts, and SLSD key missing) I made a small patch attached here. NITHI Riften - Sisterhood Dibella Patch.zip Also a simple fix for Lisbet and Haelga was to delete the files '000133A5.NIF' and '0001335F.NIF' from '\Data\meshes\actors\character\FacegenData\FaceGeom\Skyrim.esm' in the Sisterhood install. But for example, you say we have to download "HD LODs Textures SE", but on the modpage it says there is a Dyndolod version , and an SSElodgen and we should NOT get one and use the tool for the other. Since we use both tools, I tried both but it changed nothing. So I went for the Performance version which allows us to use both tools, but it's a shitty version when my computer can handle the 1K version. For the ticks, sometimes the FOMOD asks us if we want the parallax version and patches require manual choices. I learned the hard way we shoudln't get the parallax version if we don't have textures specific for that. Your modlist is already excellent but when I encounter a problem like that it gets frustrating to test everything not said on your modlist just to know if we didn't fuck up or anything. DynDOLOD is installed inside a Modding Tools folder inside the root of an SSD not related to program files, the game or anything else exactly like XLODGen, BethINI or the other tools we need. The SSD has 2TO of free space just for these tools. I have 32GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GEFORCE 3080 TI. In the task manager it says my RAM is only used by 25%, and everything else is very low so it's not a computer limitation on my part. XLODGen and DynDOLOD are both the most recent version exactly like you said and linked on your modlist. I tried reinstaling them fresh from the start multiple times. I also verified I installed Runtime, Microsoft visual etc exactly like you said and even repaired them just in case. I've watched the videos of GamerPoets and did exactly like him just to be sure, but still stuck. I really don't know what to do. Each time I try to launch XLODGenx64 (the settings are EXACTLY like yours), it gets stuck on some random line after 8 minutes, sometime 20 minutes, and doesn't move even after hours of waiting... EDIT: I checked the logs multiple times, but no warning or anything which seem to cause a particular issue. I tried to switch your setting with the Optimal version from https://stepmodifications.org/forum/topic/15184-xlodgen-terrain-settings-compare/ and I get farther than before, but it still gets stuck eventually... Although it is a questmod i moved it up to 'NPC' (see next update) and all the issues with NPC are gone. The only ones we need to remove are listed in the guide. While i was trying to fix the bug i found a few replacer i'll add as optional files (you might like them ?). So far no need for patches or the deletion of more files. *knocking on wood* @Khaizer We need the one for DynDOLOD. Added to the entry. Last week i finished reinstalling the game incl. all mods and updates. Unless i missed a mod, everything either got instructions or the FOMOD automatically detects what is needed. I thought this is probably what the guide means by spiky ground, but I've still got it after I've cleared enbcache, made sure I don't have groundcovers for 3D Landscapes installed, and re-installed Skyrim 202X Downscale (because that's when I first started noticing it). Now, the testing part! xD At least, the basics work (no CTD after a bit at least) However, there is something I forgot to ask and that I noticed for a bit. Sounds like there is a mod to give the player some idle poses, but I just can't find it again in the list... and it makes my character having female idle poses while he is supposed to be male. Is it a known issue or something? I can't figure out how to fix it...

"This mainly includes "body parts" like wigs, ears, tails, horns, claws, nails, and prosthetics. Note: This should make it so certain equippable items aren't removed during "scenes"." It does require Keyword Item Distributer (KID) and Object Categorization Framework (OCF). This gets into the area of which distributor mods to include in the guide, most of which are already included (KID, FLM, SPID, SRD, AnimObject Swapper, BOS, etc).

The first file is only meshes and the second file is the textures. And the Skyrim 202X Downscale https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/68307 I highly recommend installing the extra '3 Wet Mud texture alternatives - x quality' this is a massive quality improvement.
