It looks to me like Rugnorock or Peltapalooza.  Though I see at least one rug in place, so I'd guess Peltapalooza.

Have you ticked the boxes for Rugnarok/Peltypalooza in JK's patches?

Most fixes really are quite easy.  It's identifying WHAT needs to be fixed that is usually the challenge.  This applies both inside and outside of Skyrim.   :)

Ah! Found it! I don't have 'Clean UI' installed. Looking into it now.

Strange i don't even have it in backup... Remnant of 'Storage'?

You can't complain about a missing file if you didn't install it (although it is listed). 😛

 

@AylisIt seems like its not being changed by the high poly npc overhaul for some reason, instead being referenced my ai overhaul.esm and based/ref in skyrim.esm

You're close but still not there for the picture thing. Essentially, you put them as attachments to your reply, then you click the spoiler thing in the message editor to get the spoiler box, and then make sure the text cursor is in the spoiler box, then you can go to the image(s) in the attachment section at the bottom of the message editor and click insert. There's really no need to go upload it to imgur and then post the imgur link in spoiler. The goal is to still see the image directly when you reveal the spoiler, but not have to scroll through replies that end up 20 pages tall because of unspoilered images inserted.

 

As for the NPC issue, I'll leave that to Aylis.

Yeah my bad, opted for imgur because LL just did not want to stop breaking the picture when i'd attach it. I dont post to forums often 😅

Seems to be the wrong version. I still have to rework a few of the recommendations...

 

Added Use 'AI Overhaul Lite ESL'.

Hi @Aylis I've come across a possible issue with Fallowstone Cave (near Rifton). I'm doing the Cursed Tribe quest, and am at the point where I'm supposed to escort Yamarz though Fallowstone Cave. On entering the cave, the moment I look right, the game hangs. Cause appears to be a bug between Lux and FWMF.

That's a FaceGen issue.

You'll need to figure out which mod is causing it. (You need a save from before it started happening to test with.) - then do a Facegen for that mod using the CK.

Alternatiively, you can use the following mod which fixes the issue in realtime - it costs a few FPS though since it's realtime patching the issue:

This is already fixed (see my last post).

 

And this 'Face Discoloration Fix' is no fix but only hides the underlying problem. I prefer to fix the issue, not simply hide it.

Hello. First time for me writing in this forum. I only wanted to drop a note about one small incompatibility I just found in the load order of this guide.

But before that I should state that I'm a big fan of your work, Aylis. I'm following your guides since SSE and they are great. Thank you for all the curating efforts you put in this.

So, I think I should contribute when I find some (hopefully) useful information. Here it is: The mod "Droppable Notes" in the "Patches CCC" section is incompatible with "Skyrim Extended Cut - Saints & Seducers" in the "World - Quests" section. This because "Droppable Notes" nullifies some changes made in the CC Saints & Seducers quests by Extended Cut. As the plugin for Extended Cut is a master, you cannot put the one from Droppable Notes before it.

So the solution is either to drop "Droppable Notes" (!) or to make a quick patch with XEdit. I chose the second solution for myself and hope it won't have bad consequences mid-playthrough.

I have been using the face fix to deal with the black face issue... Thank you for mentioning the Ai Overhaul Lite fix, it works. Although I was confused to why the black fix mod wasnt included in the list I still went with it, cause well... it fixed the discolouration issue.

I have been messing around with the mods while trying to fix the pelt issue and decided to start a fresh save cause I was paranoid. I don't know what I have done but this can't be what the anvil looked like. Also, I haven't paid any attention to the exit but damn.

I tried to fix that error, but it looks like there's nothing i can do on my side (except to add a warning for that).

 

It is neither the bears nor the giants. The plants and the geometry looks fine and the dead bandits are OK too. The only strange things were that there are no spiders in the cave (according to the Wiki there should be some) and LUX seems to have forgotten the place.

1. You've got broken/missing textures or meshes. Recheck 'Medieval Anvil'.

2. Mesh issue. But i have never ever seen something like this close-up. No idea and i doubt it is caused by DynDOLOD.

3. Missing waterwheel. This could be caused by DynDOLOD or LUX.

@Kusoneko Were you able to figure anything out regarding Pandora? I'm having a CTD every time my character gets to the headsman's block in Helgen. I've tried it with 2.3 and the new 2.4 up on Nexus.

 

Edit - Must have been hitting an animation limit. Cut down a few and it's working again.

 

@Aylis There's a version of Pandora up on Nexus now. Probably easier for newbies to use rather than messing with github.

Tell me your thoughts about SSE Display Tweak. I don't quite understand what it is for. For me, 60 fps is quite playable, the drops with both unlocked fps and the original 60 are equally noticeable. Maybe I installed it incorrectly, but I have freezes in the game and the hair physics are pretty crazy. There is nothing about the settings on the mod page. Everything that is said there, read the ini and configure it for yourself. But I'm not a programmer. Do I need to disable vertical sync in the video card? I have a 144 G-Sync monitor, when I disabled vertical sync in the video card settings, I got tearing in the game, since the game has a frequency of 60. I installed SSE Display Tweak and set the fps limit to 80 because I'm a terrible paranoid and afraid that my video card will burn out if I bring down the maximum load on it, plus I read somewhere that Papyrus scripts simply cannot keep up with a frequency above 100. I left vertical sync on the video card. In general, the more I think about it, the less attractive this adventure seems to me. What do you think about this mod?

About the animations limit, you might want to take a look at Pandora Plus AnimForgePatcher

This tool is mainly used to patch Pandora to address a problem with ZAZ animations not working. However, it can patch other animations and increasing the animation limit.

The installation is finicky but clearly explained in a PDF inside the download.

Also, you better like cats...

1. Physics are linked to the FPS, so there's a reason they limited the game to 60.

2. The mod is REQUIRED for several other mods.

The mod has been patched months ago for ZAZ.

The patch for the meshes and textures is almost done. DynDOLOD will have a few errors less with it.

Added files to the patch so we don't have to hide parts of 'Sisterhood of Dibella' anymore.

'Grass FPS Booster' works nicely. This should help to increase FPS on some slower systems while making it denser. Drawback is that it requires a rerun of DynDOLOD.

'Apocrypha Paper Map' is a mixed bag. Works for some instances but not all.

'Creep Cluster Collision Fixes' will replace 'Creep Cluster - Ultimate Planter Solution'.
Got a voicepack for the PC that covers almost all mods. Will be added later.

 

Around a dozen mods didn't make it. Broken textures and/or animations, placement broken etc.

 

Found some items glowing in the dark. Working on it...

Iron ore and ingots are off. Working on it...

@Aylis I just want to say thank you for keeping this guide going.

Every few years I start over with a fresh install and go through the process of remodding Skyrim and there is always something new here whenever I come back to the game. I use it as a great list of suggestions and a checklist reference for all the important stuff as I'm building my own.

Despite modding the game regularly since 2015, so much changes between my builds it can feel like a new experience. So even as an experienced modder, this guide is invaluable.

I still haven't tried any Wabbajack lists yet, maybe I will do that with a second instance.

Whelp  , I'm throwing in . Aylis said she's nearing completion on this list so time to start installing skyrim ! Haven;t played it in about 4 years lol .

 

One thing I want to subbed and it can be my own headache but thought I'd mention it incase anyone is doing the same , I'm going to use open sex or whats the latest from them instead on sexlabs . Fun fun!

It would be OStim Standalone which is the lastest on that side. People here go 50/50 on if they like it or don't. Mostly there isn't as much support compared to like SexLab. Also, it doesn't support creatures as far as I am aware and only has consensual sex. None of these are deal breakers for me since I am not into that sort of content but a lot of people are so its a deal breaker to them. Not sure if it is still planned but Aylis said she wants to try OStim again as an option since development has slowed down on it and doesn't have very many big breaking updates anymore.

When I first loaded the mods from this list back in September, the Gameplay - General section included 9 At your Own Pace mods: College Quest Expansion Patch, College of Winterhold, Companions, Dark Brotherhood, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, Misc, Skyrim Unbound, and Thieves Guild. Shortly thereafter Aylis dropped Skyrim Unbound from the list in favor of Alternate Start, so the AYOP Skyrim Unbound mod came off the list.

 

However, the alternative to AYOP Skyrim Unbound, AYOP Main Quest, was not added to the list to replace it. Was that an oversight? Or perhaps there were problems with it? Just curious. I just finished the main quest and when I go though it again I think I'd rather do it AYOP's way (i.e. skip Season Unending).
