1) That's totally fine. I will then just add the option to YPS that nails grow over 4 stages. That's just 10 easy script lines.

2) It's working right now as you described. I still might add some more (optional) messageboxes when YPS does the gender transformation.

Nah, the popups are because of a line of code I forgot to remove.

 

The quests for the instant-effects letters seem to get stuck in the log. Doesn't look like it affects any functionality though.

I got two become aroused letters and the quests are still in my list as not cleared.

The only messagebox I get is "BoS hypno quest- note given to courier" for the charity quest, and the value is set to 1.

I think you shouldn't name all those letter Anonymous, is hard to find out which note is buggy.

 

And the NPC at Markarth inn behave as if he already hypnotise you even thought you have yet to receive any letter.

If one opens the note about donating money to the Temple or a beggar, it triggers again so you have to do it again...ask me how I know that!

Well my experience is - unique.

Messages work fine for me. I think I have gotten 4 so far.

My companion Mirai succumbed to the curse, reason unknown. Got the message Curse will start shortly. It lies - curse never progressed. It has been weeks. Curse timer 4 hours.

Same with Morrella. She is so frigid, I never got her over 57 corruption. I finally hit her with the book. She succumbed. And nothing... Just like Mirai.

I also encountered the letter bug. Stopped after the third one and after being lead to the college by a court mage and speaking to that individual. This was on a new save and went back to try it again and the letters stopped after the first one to give out gold. Third attempt at restarting ended at the gold part as well. Sadly I don't have logs for it. 

 

Also, have a new minor oddity where my summoned flame atronach (and sometimes other followers) seem to use Morella's dialogue saying "stop that's my girlfriend" or something along that lines. Doesn't cause any issues but it's certainly funny.

Have you tried sleeping? There is a setting that a course only progresses during sleep.

The fake diary spell is still not changing Morella. Slave tats messages show up but nothing actually changes on her. No YPS installed.

How is she supposed to look?

Ye I wasn't talking about the letters.

I meant it not progressing because I just went back to a save from just before opening the small treasure and it worked fine.

Also I figure if the letters are random maybe excluding letters that you already got temporarily would help at least at the start.

Otherwise I don't know I was really confused and thought it was just starting the questline over again.

 

btw I like the idea of having to wear high heels for a day but it's quite easily circumvented by you know sleeping, maybe change it to having to walk really far.

 

I play with Skyrim Souls and every time it auto opens a letter it also closes them, I think because the courier continues talking to you.

Not sure if you can help it tho but if it's not too much bother could you make an option for a pop up show up when the letter starts the quest. 

 

I don't know but I thought Skyrim souls was pretty popular.

It just happened to me again. I got the birthday letter (not for the first time btw) I completed the quest, I did the thing and then no more letters.

Also some quests don't seem to properly end. I still have open quests in the miscelleanouso nnoasud however thats spelled.

Only on sleeping is not checked. I sleep anyway though.

Are you using that script I posted on the other page (in quick scripts 3.rar)? That one has my attempt at a fix, and logging enabled.

It triggers the start of the hypnosis quest. I wanted the notes to come automatically, but wanted an organic way for the player to choose whether they wanted them or not.

It knocks you unconscious- that's when you got hypnotised in the first place.

Like Raven said, it's deliberate- it makes it hard to manage your inventory and more likely to accidentally re-read one and get triggered again.

 

Oh, does he? I might have forgotten to flag him as "initially disabled"- he shouldn't spawn until you first get a note telling you to visit him.

If you're up for it, could you grab this script, put it into your Data>scripts folder and see if that helps?

 

Also, whoops on Morella's dialogue coming out of random enemies. I'll hunt that down and put a stop to it.

Nothing changed with the curse in 1.8, so it could be some other issue.

Oh, she should just get some thick makeup. I'll look into that.

The first letter is always the give gold one, and then it's random after that. But it remembers the previous three you did, and won't select one of those. So if you get Gold, Flash, Horny in that order, your next note can't be any of those, and it'll be another three notes before you can get Horny again.

 

Yeah, I know that all the "do this for a day" ones can be cheated by just waiting (there's a few more later). But that's true of basically any negative in the game, there's not much I can really do. Maybe I'll look into adding better conditions for them all.

 

Could you just re-read the letter after it closes? Just put the old letters in a chest so you can tell which is new.

For the first hypno letter? Just use the "I have to give you money" dialogue option on anyone, not the Vanilla donate dialogue on beggars and priests.

One donation, it took 835 septims from me as I had quite a lot of gold in my pouch,   but it is one and done on to the next.

On the letter quest to be the Jarls Court Slut, I was in Whiterun, Nobody would use her except the Jarl's brother. Not even Nazeem, who would fuck a Goat if available. Then Balgruuf said what I never ordered that! Was something wrong here or was I not leveled up enough?

The Funnest letter was go beg to be fucked for 24 hours! Too bad I was in Rorikstead when I got that one...more like it Please & Thank You.

It is written that the task is completed. But neither changing cells, nor waiting, does not give a new letter. by the trial method, it turned out that you can not set the time for one day, you need more, then the courier works

Right, so, I've had some time to sit down and do a bit of testing myself.

 

With the new script I posted (in quick script 3.rar), I successfully receive new letters. Here's my process:

-New game with an alternate start starting in Breezehome, set starting level for hypno quest to 1 and time between letters to 1 day

-Wait 24 hours

-Exit the building, get the letter about Lefthand Mine, go there, set the trapped chest off

-Coc to the Bee and Barb in Riften, wait 24 hours

-Go outside, receive first letter (give gold), complete it, go back inside.

-Wait 24 hours, expecting 2nd letter to get sent

-Nothing happened- so I waited another 24 hours. Debug notifications told me timer was progressing, but no letter sent

-After the extra wait, the next letter was correctly sent

-Go outside, receive 2nd letter (which was degrade self), complete it, go back inside

-Wait 2 days, next letter send, and so on so forth.

 

And then this repeated from there. Waiting for 2 days (instead of the set 1) in the Bee and Bard, then exiting to receive my letter.

 

 

Anyone who it isn't working for- consider trying this, and let me know a)how it goes b)if you used the new script when you did

Bit of feedback: I'm guessing you're using the RegisterForUpdateGameTime() function. Are you using RegisterForUpdateGameTime(24), so it only hits once every 24 hours? Because if it does then it might get stuck and only hit after 48 hours depending on how time passes. It might be better to use a shorter update time, like an hour or 3 hours, and then just note down and compare the GameDaysPassed value through a variable instead.

Just wanted to say that the letters are by far one of my favorite updates added. especially if you are trying to do a clean playthrough then these letters destroy any reluctance lol.

Maybe it will be useful to someone, the settings under which everything works flawlessly for me. Time, minimum 2 days. As a result, 3 days will be released. One day delivery. We take this into account. If you are in the same city all the time, then after 2 days there is a cell change. We go into the house, the tavern, etc., we wait there for a day. We leave and go to meet the courier. The email will open automatically. There's a courier in Solitude from the Hall of the Dead. If you set 3 or more days, in any case, add to this +1 for the courier

On a new save with the new script it still stalled out for me after the first letter. I used a pretty similar strategy, waiting within breezehome and then exiting to check for the courier. I kept the waiting time at the default (5 days).

I had the Timer on 2 days, waited inside Taverns, Inn's or Player Home, wait 24 hours I would get a message about cooldown 1, another 24 hours cooldown 2, wait 24 hours message given to Courier, then exit building to meet Courier.

So set on 2 days or 48 hours, it took me 3 days or 72 hours to get a Letter.

Started a new game this morning, waiting for my Coffee to get done making!
