Well the way I see it there are a couple of ways they could be used. The main partner mods I see are either some DD enabler, YPS immersive fashion (or some other heel behavior mod), or nothing at all.   At some level it's always going to be a bit cosmetic, after all what's the point of any of the bound weapon spells?  Why not just carry a real sword?

 

As a cursed item:  Suzy the Dragonborn is exploring a dungeon and opens a chest, inside are various treasure items including a pair of x material boots.  Wow! these are an upgrade to my x-1 material boots (maybe they even have a random generic Skyrim enchantment)! She tightens the straps and finishes her adventure.  When she gets back to down the magic activates and suddenly her heels lift, she stumbles a bit but recovers, it's a bit harder to walk but damn does she look good!  The next day she heads out on an adventure and is accosted by bandits, uh oh she had better run, or maybe just maybe if she can rush that archer she can turn the battle in her favor.  Heels activate and she stumbles, the bandits get some ideas, Suzy moves too slow and is defeated but looks pretty doing it. More DD stuff happens.

 

As a practical cosmetic:  Garry the gamer likes to dress up his character Suzy the Dragonborn but doesn't like that his character is in full armor.  He uses a helmet mod that makes his character take off their helmet it town so he can see Suzy's face/hair he worked on sometimes.  He also likes the practical look of his armor when she is in battle.  He thinks women look good in heels but "its stupid that she can fight in heels" but then he finds this cool mod that lets Suzy activate her heels when she goes to town. Gary goes "wow so immersive! It makes total sense she would take her heels off in combat!"

 

As a fashion enabler:  Suzy the Dragonborn is trying to take advantage of YPS Immersive fashion mod's fashion level buffs, however money is short and makeup is expensive and she definitely can fight in heels.  She likes to pretty herself up so she can pass speech checks and get better deals on items but it's a pain to carry around a change of shoes.  The best part is that it gives her a chance to get some practice in walking in heels when she's not in combat, maybe with a little more practice she can go in heels full time!

 

Devious Followers: Suzy the Dragonborn has hired on Janessa the glamorous dark elf adventured as a follower.  She's so pushy though! She constantly raises her prices and is constantly insulting Suzy's looks, saying that Suzy makes her look bad.  So they make a deal, Janessa will give Suzy a discount if Suzy will wear these boots with magical heels.  Oh no it's actually Janessa who has control!

 

So ya, mostly cosmetic, but I don't think boots necessarily should have a a huge gameplay impact, but there are four stories that I can imagine players wanting to play with them.  I know the last two are story types that I roleplay a TON in my games and only get to the "rachelcostume" when they are very far along .  Ultimately the only real difference on the mod side would be the activation method random/player controlled/narratively scripted.

Umm maybe a couple errors, 1. the outfit made my body disappear (though I then remembered I didn't build in bodyslide) 2. When I did build after the long wait for it all to build I got a "that outfit .nif did not happen cause of somethin not being right but I should prolly read the entire message instead of think *what the fuck I have no idea*"

Your a lot of steps ahead of what you can achieve, I don't say that to be mean just that I know there are lots of things I would love to do but don't have the skill level.

 

Also something that is often overlooked, modders don't use their own mods. If you have the urge to create something then I would suggest starting off small and making sometging simple. It is a nice thrill to see something you created from scratch for the first time in game but it is also a turning point where the game is no longer a plaything but mearly a collection of triangles and textures held together by quest stages and papyrus scripts. It's a big step to go from player to modder and if you want to enjoy the game as a player then the best option for your ideas might be to pitch someone who wants to make it or do it yourself and be aware that you will never play the game again as a game.

Just as a side note UBE is really pissing me off, I like the way it looks but my god you would think they would make it easy to do a conversion and it is anything but. Despite someone from the discord offering help and writing a guide it all seems unnecerserally complcated to conform to that body, how can they hope for it to succede if they just put obstacles in the way?

Oh ya for sure! I gave up on both of these ideas pretty early on.  I'm certain I could get the modeling and texturing of the heel/non-heel versions done, that part is really no different than the stuff I've already released.  It would basically be modified bashed together and reshaped stuff from the base game, similar to what you see in my profile picture.  

 

Beyond that it would just be a question of finding some way to trigger a swap of either in the models themselves or just the in game items.  I actually do have some coding experience that I've picked up since last actively working on anything.  All my projects are really just learning projects, I'm not sure I want to dive into skyrim scripting though.

 

The real real plan though was to probably just do like you said and put some cool armor assets out their and see if anyone with scripting experience wants to adopt them.

My idea is rather large in scope, though I can see where it would link into existing Mods. Most of it is the whatchamacallit script peeps say in game, but some added features.

 

Title: well atm I am thinking "Dragon Slut"

(can set just how many Fans a Slut attracts at any time, when 1 dies another will eventually appear a few days later) Fans give a Slut special advantages even though they can become a nuisance (as they can often trigger sex depending on Mods as they count as NPC/(follower)) 

Abilities: Fan Encampment, (Campfire Mod) The fans set up a camp for the Slut, it would have a Main Tent Fit for a Slut Spacious, decorated, big Bed (Bath maybe Bathing Mod), Food Tent (if a Fan is a Chef) Smithy Tent (Smithy/Leatherworking Fan), Medical Tent (Alchemist/Enchanter Fan) and so on...

 

Thats Slut Fame ideas there are many Categories all of which could add more, note that Fans can be as much a disadvantage as an advantage.

That reminds me, how would you in, Outfit Studio edit a section of a mesh so that it would be more transparent? Asking cause I have some sexy Pirate/Steampunkish outfits, but the Mesh's are in 2 parts only, I know about selecting vertices just not the how to then change the mesh. I assume making the section red means I protect it from modification, while the green vertices are the ones I am manipulation in outfit studio?

You would need to add an alpha channel to the texture file first. So you would need to use something like gimp. than after that you would add the alpha flag to the nif, if you are looking for transluscent rather than transparent you would need to use the alpha blend flag then chooose an alpha value that corresponds to the texture file.

 

It might be easier if you show me exactly what you are trying to do and we could work on it together.

The Mod has been "Hidden" for some reason. So I will try compress it then attach here. There are 2 main articles I want to change up. The Tops and the Skirts(which have smp) On the tops I want the White blouse part to be way more translucent whatever, and the skirts to be a little more so. As to the colours I would love to add Violet/purple highlights on black, Magenta highlights on Black and Red Highlights on Black (highlighting like this makes the materials look Silky Smooth. On the breast part off the Blouses the reverse to Highlights white (transparent) while shading silvery/grey and almost completely transparent (note there is overlap material) doing that would almost make the underbust part of the blouse look wet.

Yep, but nope. The ones I have seen listed there are mostly just not sexy, most look like the scrawl of what is left after I literally fuck the brains out of something, or they look like a Typewriter was used.
