I have made a discord server to better control peoples input so @kurotatsu and I (also with help from @naaitsab and @SkyLover37) have been working on a mod called Unforgiving Souls. Its still in early development and not ready for a release but I think the time has come to bring it out of hiding. The mod uses Unforgiving Devices mechanics and is based on a vaginal piercing that gives the wearer huge power but at the risk of releasing a soul occasionally that takes over the player untill they are satisfied or repelled. Currently we have 3 souls. Here are a few screenshots showing some of whats currently available. Reveal hidden contents We would welcome anyone who is interested with ideas feedback and testing to the discord but be warned that I and all members who have helped with the mod have the power to silence or ban anyone that creates even a hint of drama! https://discord.gg/5a27vzbY For the record, id pay for that and the Doll monster discussed previously

audhol Posted February 20, 2025 Author Posted February 20, 2025 @belegost Got a few ummmm "images" for your tats pack but more importantly I got the new beta version of gimp and added the GMic plugin filters. Had a bit of a play with it and I think the results are gonna be pretty damn cool for realistic tatlikes. Will post some images of the WIP. 1

You know this isn't going to happen. I trust you're going to do a great job. You don't need me or anyone else throwing in suggestions. Make it your own, that's when you're at your best. I only provided a theme. What you do with it, is up to you, Melkor. Edited February 20, 2025 by belegost

Raven 54 Posted February 20, 2025 Posted February 20, 2025 (edited) @audhol I downloaded and installed Aud's Rachel outfit from the Nexus, checked heels sound during installation. All outfits have heels sound except the Goth Chlo, just a heads up if you did not know this already. Thank you for the mod and sharing your work! Edited February 20, 2025 by Raven 54

Darkwing241 Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 Congrats on the release! It a pretty great model with some really cool features, I'm a big fan of the straps. You also were cranking out textures at a pretty impressive rate. Any chance I can get you to share some tips for making textures? I never got past repurposing the ones already in Skyrim.

After the origional cock up with the fomod its generally been well recieved. Regarding texture work if you want to get into some heavy lifting then your gonna need some kind of 3d painting software or learn how to use Blenders node system which was far too complicated for my little brain. If you just wanna do some retexturing then I use gimp for all my .dds work. Lemme know something specific your trying to do and maybe we could go through the steps together?

belegost Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 (edited) I got the Nexus version so I could endorse and you could get some peanut money from them. I had endorsed every single mod I downloaded in the past 16 years that worked. Edited February 21, 2025 by belegost 2

Back when I was actively modding I did everything in 3dsmax, and then refitted textures that were already in game. It has some painting features but is pretty clearly not the right tool for building textures from the ground up. I looked at blender too but never really got into it. I learned basically everything I know through Nightasy's tutorials, he has a great series that handheld me through everything, especially the skyrim specific stuff like exporting and getting stuff game ready. I never found similar for blender. After I did my high heels project I kind of hit a wall with texturing. I did look at gimp, but got kind of overwhelmed at the prospect of trying to make something that looked like actual fabric or metal from the ground up. I looked at substance painter too, since that has premade materials but that has it's own problems. Mostly that it was too modern the technology of skyrim was pretty outdated even when it was released, my understanding was the world stopped using .dds quite a while ago. So there didn't seem to be much support for it out there, and it makes learning difficult. The last project I was working on was actually more in your style than mine. At the time I was in love with this outfit I saw in a random deviantart pic (not by me), and made this. [/img] This was quite a while ago, I was actually further along than I thought, but as you can see by the test render... It's not quite there yet. Edited February 21, 2025 by Darkwing241 3

Someone always put in some effort to give us free content. 45 minutes ago, Darkwing241 said: I looked at substance painter too, since that has premade materials but that has it's own problems. I use an ummmmmm?............................................... OLD? version of subsatnce painter and I love it to bits. I have developed a huge library of custom textures and projection images and still I learn some new things every week. So In my opinion the most important thing is the seams on the mesh and the unwrapping of model. You need to think about what kinda texture you are going to use before unwrapping the mesh. My personal workflow is. I make the mesh in blender (I would consider my skill level to be low intermediate, I have quite a good knowledge of most functions but I am missing a lot of shortcuts and knowledge of the most efficient way to achieve results) I am at a level where I could make a model from an image that would fit onto the base female mesh from skyrim. I add my seams thinking about how the texture will be wrapped onto that mesh and where best to hide or use a seam as a focal point. For example I purposfully put a seam down the back of the stockings on the rachel mod to give the impression of a line down the back of the leg and also knowing that I can use the UVBorderDistance generator controlling a black mask in SP. Lets not forget that we have to map al the parts of our mesh onto a single UV map. I export my mesh as an .obj this is something that you will get a lot of conflicting ideas about and each to their own but personally I prefer the import .obj of outfit studio and its compatibility with SP to be the best option. There is far more to do like assigning material groups to individual parts of you mesh to make it easier in SP to texture but we can go into that at a later date. So I have a custom skyrim output file for SP but its not really important, What is important is to learn how to deal with layers in whatever image software you are using. Personally I don't see any reason not to use gimp. After I have textured my mesh in SP (yes I did skip all the processes of what SP can do but we can talk about that in a seperate conversation if you are interested.) I export my individual textures for each material of the mesh and then load them as layers into gimp. Depending on how we have textured our mesh in SP we either have an exported normal map or we can use gimp to create one from the diffuse. If you don't know these terms then, Diffuse is the base texture with any details we may want to have. Normal is the height map showing how the material behaves in a three dimensial space. (Less complicated than I make it sound we can kinda fudge this to do what we want. Emmisive map is how the material reacts to light or how reflective it is, we can combine this with a cubemap for some interesting results as (pre Community shaders PBR materials) we need a cubemap to imitate the reflectivity of a material. So anyway I can load all the different material parts as layers into gimp then merge them into 1 image that I can export (with the plugin) as a .dds with appropriate compression for the creation engine to be able to read. Its actually far easier than I make it sound "ONCE YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO" exactly the same as anything else in life. I've been at it for a few years now and still I learn new stuff thats like WTF didn't I know that before its soooo obvious. Like I said if you really wanna do something maybe we could work on it together and you can see for yourself the steps involved? Edited February 21, 2025 by audhol 1

That is a fucking sexy outfit, you would want it to be two pieces. Oh and for the fur I would try to repeat the same fur look that is used for Fur Armor Set - Revamped at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community 3

Oh and for the fur I would try to repeat the same fur look that is used for Fur Armor Set - Revamped at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community This is a great recommendation. That fur hat is pretty much a perfect match for the effect I would need for the fur lining. Maybe I can reverse engineer it a little bit. My last attempt I never really got to the point of making something actually fuzzy. There are ways to do it at the model level, for example base Skyrim typically uses little invisible squares with the hair painted to essentially produce tufts of fur (grass is done similarly I think), but it's a terrible solution for this particular outfit since it's so loose and irregular. I know you can also do fur at the the model level, most modeling software has some tools to procedurally generate actual hairs, but that's not an option for in performance reasons. Doesn't looks like they did much of anything with the actual model, it's just a donut with a basic .dds texture assigned. Nothing looks unusual about the texture .dds itself either... and I'm not making much progress. 1

Your only half right, there are in fact 6 donuts concentrical placed outside each other. Then what happens is that the most inside layer uses the uv without an alpha modifier, meaning it is solid in colour. Each succesive layer then has an alpha property on it, effectively making parts of the mesh invisible. Each layer has a higher alpha property meaning more of the texture on the mesh becomes invisible. This technique is I believe called shell and is exactly how fluffworks works. If you look at the diffuse you can see how there is transparency on the texture. So basically as you increase the alpha value on the mesh more parts become invisible. 2
DarksideTinkerbell Posted February 22, 2025 Posted February 22, 2025 Is there a way to mark a post? So I can use the above sometime in the future, if or when I start playing around with modifying stuff, or even starting a mod, got the title and concept, which I have had for years.

I dunno, whay back when it was one of the reasons why I started my own discord for there to ba one stop place for all these bits of info. I often forget how I did something from a while ago. Anyways the discord is pwetty much dead now.
