This results in weird behavior happening that does not happen when I start a new game. So if your having issues heads up you didn't manage to remove all traces from your game first. Basically it could be that my save game cleaner could be better but anyways when I have a brand new game the issues mentioned above don't happen. So idk get a more recent cleaner and try again or start over. So with your new game you can have aggressive sex, consensual or otherwise, in front of npcs without them going apeshit after unchecking the three "witness intervention" checkboxes in the mcm menu? If for sure thats the case i'll do a clean reinstall. This, correct. With a new game the options to disable npc reaction to aggressive sex Work. Which means I can use all my other mods without the whole tavern killing off the town just cause I got an event from some other mod XD. I believe that the other options are going to work too, since my character is only level 10. I'm just going to start a new game with the update. I can confirm that starting an absolutely new game has Defeat working properly. Though I am wondering what exactly is the old Defeat V5 leaving behind in my old save game. I tried starting an entirely new game, but the mod won't install after I click the activate button in the MCM menu.

I Sexlab Romance the first person i see, take them outside so there is a audience and tell 'em "i want you to treat me like a whore" npcs go apeshit and start attacking. Had three of 'em attacking the inn bard. Witness Intervention was disabled in the mcm btw. Maybe you guys can spot something in my load order or the log that could be the problem?!? Gameplayer Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Well I have been playing a new game however things are not working out as I thought they should. It would seem that even turning off the Intervention options does not prevent npc's from going nuts when the character is involved in a sex act that is tagged aggressive in the Sexlab MCM menu. This unfortunately breaks compatibility with Deviously Cursed Loot, SD plus, and pretty much any mod that adds an aggressive sex scene. Relationship Value with the Player Character will also have this effect, example PSQ_Player Is a Succubus Quest will lead to characters having a relationship value of 4 or max with the PC, and this would lead to unintended consequences. I'm not sure if I'm totally alone in this so would be nice if someone else that started a new game would speak up if they also have the issue. Well I guess that answers that. I'm not the only one with the issue. I don't think at this time any of us could say its a load order issue Nior. I suppose the only work around is to rollback at this time? I mean if I untag the aggressive scenes that might have unintended issues with other mods I use. Anyway Pic of npc's going nuts cause they were left out during a slut collar event.

I bring the female bartender outside and tell her "i wanna treat her like a dirty slut" and nobody attacks. Reload and tell her i want her to "treat me like a whore" and this time the bar wench and another female come over and start cheering her on as she rapes my character. Then the prick down the way chopping wood wants to be a hero and him and the cheering bar wench start fighting each other. Leads me to believe its a faction issue of some sort. Beyond me what to do about it though. OR LL has abused and raped the citizens of Skyrim too much over the years and they've started fighting back.
Gameplayer Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I burned my old level 10 character saves D: Oh well, I made a lot of changes on that one too so it was probably coming anyway lolz. Sigh another 1/2 hour of adjusting MCM sliders and options.

NPCS in the same faction don't attack one another unless there is a scripted instance to make them swap factions, like from currentfollower to potentialfollower. I would look at whatever mod you're using that adds the dialogue for your character to fuck the bartender, because I'm using Defeat and I don't have any added dialogue like that. And I'm using v5 and I'm not having any of the problems I see people posting about.
nutluck Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Ok I tried it a few times and it seems to work fairly well. I did notice a bug and i think i found out a possible cause. Sometimes the NPC's will just walk off. I notice each time it is because the first one that "claims" you goes off to do another action. Like go sit in a chair, stir a pot over a fire. So it is looking like if another AI package kicks in after the defeat scene starts but before the sex starts it breaks defeat. Leaving you stuck sitting on the ground. I tried it a few time at the camp just south of Riverwood up in the mountains a bit where there is a fire and a chair just outside the door to the mines with two guards. Each time defeat failed I notice they would go use the chair or cooking pot and then defeat would get stuck. Not sure how you would go about fixing that but thought I would mention it. The only other bugs I noticed was a couple of spelling errors like witch instead of which etc. The other thing was and I am not sure if this is a bug or a feature. But if you surrender sometimes you have 3 options and sometimes there is 4 options. I couldn't find a pattern on why sometimes you didn't have all 4 options.

I guess that may depend on whether you have multiple assaults or gangbamg/3way checked in the MCM. I don't know if that would matter though if it's a package flag issue.

I think most of us are aware that the dialogue is added by other mods, the real problem with defeat that we know for sure is that any animation tagged as aggressive seems to trigger defeat into interrupting it, which can lead to huge brawls breaking out if for example your follower is the one interrupting the scene. You could try matchmaker and set up an aggressive animation between NPCs and a big brawl is likely to break out as well. This is because of the witness feature in defeat being quirky like that, it is somewhat immersive but it's also game breaking. It's super nice that there's a toggle for it, but it doesn't appear to work currently.

This time I uninstalled "Lively Inns and Taverns" or LIAT its a mod that adds more tavern patrons and they are basically generic npc's. Well the "Patrons" of LIAT are the ones that are going bonkers even if the "Intervene" option is unchecked. It would seem that mods that add NPC's have to be done well, cause there are a few other mods I have that added npc's into Riverwood like "Eagles Nest" a house mod, those npc's don't object. Over in Bannered Mare I have added NPC's courtesy of Falkreath Mod, those NPC's don't object when the option for no reaction is picked. Just to be sure the morality thing was working I rechecked the option and the whole bar went nuts as expected. I also have another issue with this new game there are $ signs in front of resist options $Two-Handed and $One-Handed. < Something seems odd about that. I don't see a "crime option" I didn't have problems with 5,3,3 so...idk
ttpt Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Defeat may also rely on faction for the intervention check, but that's gonna break really easy with followers, since they won't belong to all the town factions. A possible solution would be to interrupt the aggressive scenes without going into combat, thus preventing giant bloodbaths from happening.

Yeah i agree, but I have no idea of the cause. But since it happened more than once in the same way I thought I would report it. For me I had 3way and multi turn checked but low chance. What would happen is one bandit would walk over and talk to my PC, the one that normally would take the first turn. We would do the dialogue as always, then he would instead of standing there a moment before stripping my character. Would instead walk back to the fire and start stirring the pot or sit in the chair. At that point defeat would break and the character would be stuck in the kneeling down hands over head pose and the other bandit would be stuck standing over my character staring down at her. It happened the same way more than once, so it is obviously a bug with the AI package just not sure what exactly as I don't know that much about modding. I know just enough to know I really don't know anything.

I thought the save cleaner might have been the issue but I wound up figuring out that the new "intervention feature" is kind of relies on each of the npc mods being made well or correctly cause Lively Inns and Taverns they just don't seem to care what options you pick. The patrons attack any aggressive sex act. Where as before they played nicely now I have to consider what mods to keep...Well and I have to consider I merged that mod into a big ass merge too.

Change their height, starting skills etc. I figured out how to make minor tweaks like that with TES5Edit but anything beyond that and I just get confused. Cool, hopefully what ever the issue is. Goubo or you can figure it out and it can be patched.

It's a ForceGreet used by the DefeatPlayerQst but all of the Public Package Data looks flagged correctly for what it's used for. I'm stumped. Guess I won't be sending you a patched esp tomorrow.
