Quite correct.  My xml-fu is weak and learning was a bit interesting.  I managed to figure it out (it works, but someone with zen xml-fu would probably make it cleaner), but yeah, with zero options to select a fomod isn't really needed.

Could you explain how to do what cornbreadtm said, or how to add the xml to a rar file please?

1). You need some sort of program to zip/unzip rarfiles.  I use winrar, there are many out there.

2). Open up Sexlab - Defeat V5.0.rar.  It will look something like the first attachment. post-266938-0-46891400-1430540856_thumb.jpg

3). Go into the folder fomod.  The second attachment shows this. post-266938-0-19360500-1430540857_thumb.jpg

4). Drag and drop my edited xml ontop of the original ModuleConfig.xml.  Overwrite.

5). Save, tada!  All done.

 

This is all I did and NMM liked it.  Also, you can open my edited xml with XML notepad (what I use) and see it has no errors.  If you open the original xml, XML notepad throws the exact same error NMM does.  Fortunately, XML notepad tells you exactly where the problem is.

 

-Edit.  If this doesn't work, let me know.  I'll upload the entire rar to avoid any issues.  Happy defeat...ing everybody!

 Did as you described and I got no this two options. Winrar doesn't offer it to me.

I'm not a fan of MO, but it does make adding/upgrading/changing mods a lot easier.  The reason I switched to MO is because NMM had to many problems and limitations.

 

DO NOT INSTALL MO BEFORE WATCHING GOPHER'S VIDEOS FIRST.  you might rather continue with NMM.

Yup that worked for me. With my way, I wasn't getting the MCM menu. Will let you know if I get the menu once I get on Skyrim again in a sec.

 

No MCM still :(

Are you using a clean save, in an indoor area?  I clean saved on my lvl 30 and it works just fine, MCM pops up and new options are all there and pretty.

Done some testing. Very interesting changes and it seems like you really listened well to feedback.

 

Biggest thing I gotta say is that follower support seems to be totally broken. I'm not using Death Alternative by the way. Using either All Down or Original, any time I go down when I have a follower the follower just stands there and then I immediately get back up and the attackers are hostile again. Also, followers only actually surrender with the player when "followers surrender" is turned OFF. When it's turned on, they just stand around and the surrender is cancelled, and you're stuck in place for about 20 seconds or so, and then the enemies go hostile again.

 

I like the direction you took with the "everyone can knock down" feature (forget what it's actually called) but it'd be nice if it checked for valid attackers and only had those stand around for the rape. The way it works now, if you're a female and have only Male-Female active, this lets female enemies be part of the 5-person "rape party" even if they can't actually rape anyone. This is a minor gripe, mind you, and the fact you added it at all is one of my favorite bits of this update.

 

Also I've only had the post-rape robbery happen once in my testing (I didn't specifically test that part yet, it's just only happened once), and afterwards I was just teleported to the exact same spot I was when I was robbed, and then my attackers went hostile again. It was an exterior cell, btw.

 

I do love the new animations/poses, and I will say that when follower collateral actually works, it works much better than it used to.

If you're using NMM, you can simply install manually and not have to deal with installation errors. Otherwise switching to MO will probablish be better for you in the long term.

Not sure which file to install... Due to radical difference in file size between v5 and v5.3 and stuff. Can i just download and install latest version, or do i need to overwrite on the big v5 file?

If you're using NMM, you can simply install manually and not have to deal with installation errors. Otherwise switching to MO will probablish be better for you in the long term.

 

 

While I am using NMM and generally don't have a problem with using NMM, I ain't dumb enough to install it manually.

In the previous Defeat v5b3.3, the knockdown works fine as a victim, but the knockdown doesn't work as an aggressor.

 

I've recently done a clean save and done a script clean and saved to new slots. Then I installed Defeat V5.0.0, ran FNIS, and found that the opposite happens... the aggressor knockdown works, but the victim knockdown doesn't trigger. There also seems to be missing animations, like when surrendering, the PC doesn't lift her hands up like in the previous version of Defeat. After the rape act is done, the PC also doesn't sit on the floor anymore, she instead stands up. The struggle bar does work though.

Sorry about the NMM installation, I obviously do not use it and did not test to install through it, will fix asap.

 

No install errors here (Using MO), but a question:

 

I set up a new game today with Defeat 3.3 and Death Alternative working together more or less (Had them running in previous saves for some time). No crashs, only some odd behaviour with giants and flying towards the sky :).

 

Now I started the new game (Had a save without Defeat and DA) and installed Defeat 5.0 and DA. Some tests, some scenes worked, and then the game crashed after the player got into bleedout state (attacked by some bandits and a skeever).

 

Are there any special settings that have to be considered using Defeat 5.0 and DA together?

As stated in the description, imcompatibilities happen with the knockdown mechanics of both mods so for a better compatibility you should rely of only one of the mod to handle the knockdown, as for crashes, I can't guess, do you have something wierd in the papyrus log when the game crashes?

That's for sure ^^ plus the installer has no choices yet really, it's here to only choose between languages and obviously there is just English for now.

Thanks, damn it should work very good with followers, worked hard on this, they actually can be gang raped by the aggressors even if they don't want to rape the player (with evryone can knock down option), the player then enters in a state where he can struggle and get up but if one of the aggressor see him stuggle the bar goes down a bit.

Who is the follower? Does they are properly registered when your char is downed? (you can see this in the log, it lists the aggressors and followers at the start of a scene)

 

The minor gripe took me a lot of work actually xD, I have yet to find ideas of what NPCs not interested by sex could do when this is their turn though (nothing right now), but with this option, different sex combination can happen with followers, did not test much this but for example if a female player is downed by a male and a female and she has one male follower, if "female on male" is enabled in NPC vs NPC, the female aggressor can collateral the follower, this is a little messy with all this mixed settings, maybe I should add specific sex settings for collateral only but it seems redundant honestly.

 

But I'll add an option to let only the right aggressors be a part of the scene.

Tested quickly yesterday night. Victim scenario with DA seemed to work fine. And the Sexlab configurator utility is awesome.

Yeah the only thing that bothers me with the SL controller (configurator? damn it sounds better :P) is that you need to open the menu 2 times (first menu is blank) the first time you use it and after you restart that game, that's because I use indirect functions of the mod for Defeat to not be dependant of UIExtensions, I'll let Expired know about this, maybe it's because I made a mistake in the code though, let me know if it does happen for you.

 

By the way, I sent a stand alone mod version of the pose selector to Nenilai (Pose Selector) some time ago for him to upload it but it seems he did not do so yet?

I'll upload it a little later then.

Mm, I sympathize with so much work not working properly (if that's what's happening). Curse of anyone who touches programming. I'll try and do more testing so I can better nail down exactly what doesn't work and when. I'll look into the log thing, but do you mean papyrus log?

 

Again though, great update; worth the wait. You're a treasure, bro.

uploaded 5.0.1, fixes the problem with the installer, dosen't change anything for MO users. (Thanks Forerunner414 for the fix)

Then open the log file "Papyrus.0.Log" in

The 0 file in the last session of the game) 

 

Then you can search for lines that start by "Defeat:"

I know this is too early to suggest things lol but I just would like to ask have you ever planned on being able to make your victims be able to follow you?

 

Just gotta say I love that you're able to carry people in a sack lol I haven't tested it so much so I am not sure but when you carry someone does it have a carry weight?

Works for me you must have installed wrong

 

 

I uninstalled and reinstalled the mod menu mcm and now it seems to work, but after that the character has surrendered nothing happens, probably I have to work again FNIS.
I'll let you know if everything is ok :))
