vincent Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Hi, I only got Skyrim recently, and after reading through this thread it seems it would be appropriate to ask about some stuff here, sorry if it's not. 1) I saw recommendations about other classes, and I play an archer-type. I love outfits like Princess of the Woods, which seem plain enough to fit the class. Any recommendations for my character? I like using different outfits so I'd really love if they were separate parts, like the mod I just mentioned, makes creating a custom outfit so much fun. 2)Is there some reason why there are 2 major body types in Skyrim? I used to play Oblivion years ago, and I just had to get HGEC and 95% of armors were fine. Now I got CBBE, and apparently some armor that look really cute are UNP only. I probably should go to UNP, but I want to listen to another opinion. Does CBBE have many armors that are unique for it?
Nergui Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 @Vincent 1) I have no relevant advice for you on this subject. 2) It's not so much unique to CBBE, but rather whether they have bodyslide support. This allows you to customise your character bodyshape to your own taste and generate meshes that fit that bodyshape.

Skin is just real girls, probably with frecklemania. With that in mind she's probably just a vanilla race with RaceMenu.

Maybe there's a setting in Dance of Death that can do that.

CBBE has the program called bodyslide 2 which you can find here and on nexus that lets you create your won body shapes and automatically (mostly) convert armors to it. Normally you can't just reshape a unp outfit to the cbbe shape or try to use both at the same time as the normal maps are totally different.

As for body, i use Unp because it looks more natural then CBBE and alot of the armors for UNP are more immersive or normal looking, where CBBE has some, the majority is -putsfartobigofbreastshere- so. Though there are other body mods with a variety of armors, and the bodys are getting more and more popular. Sevenbase for an example, it's something between CBBE and Unp, the and then theres UNPB if you like bigger breasts for your character as well. CBBE has actually more armors then UNP, but honestly they are about equal, though alot more people prefer CBBE it seems, or again they are switching to Sevenbase. As for armors that would fit an archer, may i suggest you look at some of Dreamburrow's lovely armors on Nexus, she makes lovely armors for Skyrim, that are both lovely looking, and balanced, Dreamburrow also has a tumblr with some things on there for download, and you can look at the pieces she's working on.
