By the ending all restraints should have been removed

Indeed, but it's not. I suspect a script problem with DD in my installation.

so I've just replayed this mod again and still love it. I love Irkalla and the bigger escape games.

I had a few ideas to pitch for Irkalla after the main story, all with her as Mistress (though I imagine most of them could be tweaked to work with her as sub) to maybe give some inspiration for games/events.

1. Irkalla's rubber doll

Irkalla locks the dragonborn in a nice full body rubber outfit, she then sends the doll on a short trip to a radiant location to collect something random (herbs for her potions, new toys from a vendor etc) along the way NPCs have a chance to add restraints or use the doll and Irkalla herself can also tease the doll remotely. Returning fast enough can grant favour, but taking too long or orgasming too much (why are you fulfilling your needs when your Mistress set you a task?) can lose favour.

2. Irkalla's rubber bondage toy

similar to the above, but more an event rather than a game. instead of a job Irkalla instead just want's to play with her rubber toy. the same doll outfit but just with a host of restraint's added so Irkalla can watch, enjoy and tease her toy while you attempt to escape some of the bindings. while she watches you struggle she can do things like control your plugs or conjure arcane phallus' to amuse herself.

an additional idea for this one is also taking her toy out for a walk, sending both of you to one of the holds and Irkalla leading you through the streets for everyone to see her rubber bondage toy.

3. Irkalla's pet

similar to bondage toy in that Irkalla puts you in a pet binder with whatever other restraints and takes you for a walk around a hold, showing off her pet.

4. play fetch

another pet suit one this time in a small area where Irkalla gets you to retrieve an item (maybe the pet suit key) and fetch it back

5. Irkalla's potion

leaning more into Irkalla's interests and experiments, she's concocted a new aphrodisiac that she want's you to sample. She also just happens to have made some plugs and a belt that keep the wearer on edge and won't let them cum....isn't that lucky. wonder how they work together.
the aphrodisiac is extremely strong and the plugs just.won't.stop...
every hour or so you have to report to Irkalla the effects her new inventions are having. If you are resisting the effects enough then she might add some extra restraint's along the way and might earn some favour if you are helpful enough to her notes but along with the reports there will be an option to beg and plead for release that gets progressively more desperate, pick that enough and she will indeed end the experiment and let you cum but you will lose favour, get bound and also become mind broken.

6. Living Latex
another of Irkalla's experiments where she has been studying not only the gloom cave but the remnant of you breaking the seals on the sword earlier. She asks you to handle some dark slime left over so she can note the effects it has. when you do touch it wraps itself around you, coating your body and forming into heavy latex restraint's. you feel the dark tendrils on the inside of the suit probing your holes and mercilessly toy with you, and in you sensory deprived mind you hear voices tease and taunt you. Without been able to touch the slime herself Irkalla can only watch and make notes as you have to struggle and escape from the heavy living bindings. this experiment will always award favour but its hard to escape

and now for just some minor stuff

7. extreme bondage
nothing special, you can just ask Mistress to lock you into some extreme bondage for fun (I'm talking fully extreme) could even make it a favour earner/spender. Asking for it pleases Irkalla and she gives you a favour point just for the amusement.

8. casual scenes
one of the best scenes I think from the mod is you been sense deprived and teased while Irkalla masturbates to you. Would love to see that again as a repeatable mini scene, along with possibly a few others, such as the area in the upper mushroom where trial of the toy takes place, have Irkalla lock you into some restraints, vibes and furniture while she sits down and casually reads or whatever.
think casual scenes like that really sells the sense that you are hers and she owns you

I think there is an issue with the toy piercing mesh, getting the red exclaimation when it is equipped. (playing on LE)

... on further investigation it appears to be the glow mesh and not the piercing mesh.

Did you find a fix?

Haven't completed it yet, but this mod so far is really good and a lot of fun.

Did have to use the guide here and there, but the puzzles are pretty cool to figure out.

Hoping there will be more or the newer DD gear like extreme hood or tight catsuit get added, they would work so well with the sensory deprivation.

The first quest actually reminds me a lot of a fun game I played years ago on deviantart, Lia's escape or something

After finishing both acts completely, I have one problem, how do I get my items back that I had before starting the quest?

Can't seem to find them anywhere in any chest in neither her home or her alchemy place.

Try this mod again.

The hood can't be removed. I have the key, I move it to the gargoyl, clik on the hood... and I always got the message saying the key won't enter into the lock.

A debug ?

I am having the same issue. I copied the movements exactly as the video on the walkthrough and it still won't pop the menu up.

Edit : posting what I was doing wrong just in case it happens to someone else. I had knocked the key on the floor away from where it spawns, so when I went to interact with it, it just disappeared. It respawns as a new object "Falcon Key" next to the stool as it should originally. The falcon key works as intended.

I got the same too. It just took me around an hour to make the scripts working as intended by the mod author. I guess the conditions are a little too restrictive.

Aghhhh. I am stuck at the very first puzzle. I'm tied up in devices in the very first scene (started through alternative perspective) and I can't wiggle my out of the devices. I see flashes of red and sometimes of purple but I don't know what that means. It says figure out the order but I think it keeps changing? So it's not about figuring out but rather about guessing randomly every single time? What's the trick here?

Figured it out, but seriously this mod seems great, just way too vague to the point of creeping to the edge of unfun. There should be a walkthrough and if people don't want to use it then it's their choice.

Edit: Found the Walkthrough.

If you are running in LE, I think these meshes were exported for SE. I went and replaced the two `[Imp][Fray] Varla Clit 2 SMP.nif` meshes with the Devious Devices piercing (renamed to match) and the red square went away at least in the inventory. The glow would also need something to replace it.

@Frayed Any chance you can export the meshes for LE and perhaps add a small patch?

I just recently found and started this quest. I completed the first quest and began the second, but after a while, I got stuck. I entered the Mushroom Cave and found the entrance to the large mushroom hut, but no matter how much I look at the guides, I can't find the hut where the Bosmer girl Walker is. Could someone tell me the location of the hut where Walker is?

For me this usually happens if I have too many items in my inventory. Try to empty your inventory and see if it helps.

I followed The Gordian Bind guide and have reached the point of purifying the first temple (the dark ruins), but I've hit a dead end here. The guide says to use a gag, but if I follow the guide, there is no place to obtain the gag. Where can I get the gag?

IIRC you can get one upstairs in the mushroom on one of the tables I think

I've now finished Gordian Bind (loved all this content by the way). However, there's a few things I'm still unsure of, if anyone knows the answers to these:

Spoiler
  1. During the third trial, I can either refuse Molag Bal or enter a contract with him, which according to the walkthrough "may have consequences later...". What exactly does this "Marked by Molag Bal" do?
  2. I kept Irkalla alive and she has a bunch of interactions as a follower now. Does she actually come up with bondage games for you after some time, or is this still in development?
  3. I've heard there's more content planned by the creator. Now that I've completed both A Snare to Loosen and Gordian Bind, can I continue playing the game and download these updates at a later date, or will I likely need to revert to old saves before these quests to start 'clean'?

Is there a way to get that magic from the gargoyles that compels you to tie yourself up as a spell?

Or place one of those gargoyles in a player home for some extra fun when you get back home from questing?

Dear author, here is the error report I found regarding the conflict between this mod and “MenuMaid2” for your reference. In addition, I tried to fix the issue using ChatGPT, but the compilation failed when using the Creation Kit. I have also attached the files I attempted to fix for your review. Furthermore, here is the part where ChatGPT identified the problem:

ChatGPT says:

Sure! Here's a clear, user-friendly English version of your crash analysis:

🧨 Clear Conclusion (up front)

The direct cause of this CTD (Crash to Desktop) is: MenuMaid2.dll
The trigger is: The Trappings of Fate (TT) mod’s Papyrus scripts spamming errors during initialization

Not an engine issue
Not a music system problem
Not a leftover from SSEEdit

🔥 First evidence: NetScriptFramework points the culprit

Crash location (most important line in the log):

Unhandled native exception occurred at (MenuMaid2.dll+4AC7)

Callstack top layers:

[0] MenuMaid2.dll+4AC7   ← 💥 Crash point
[4] MenuMaid2.dll+F76C0

This is a native DLL crash (C++ level)

Papyrus alone cannot cause this kind of crash

🧠 Second evidence: what was being processed at the time?

Looking at registers and stack strings:

"$The_Wizard_Warrior"
"$MenuMaidName"

This shows that MenuMaid2 was:

Enumerating/reading characters, followers, or player data

Just when TT mod was initializing objects

💣 Third evidence (fatal): Papyrus errors were spamming the log

Example from the log:

error: Cannot call RemoveAddedForm() on a None object
stack:
[TT_Update1_3Quest (BE1B3F0D)]
TT_Update1_3Script.OnInit()
Line 50

This wasn’t a one-time error — it repeated many times

Translation: TT_Update1_3Script in OnInit() tried to call RemoveAddedForm() on a None (empty reference)

The script author didn’t check for None

Papyrus reports the error but normally won’t CTD

However, MenuMaid2.dll was scanning forms/character data at the same time:

It encountered a partially-initialized or invalid object

On the C++ side, this led directly to a crash

🧩 Crash chain in plain English:

TT_Update1_3Quest.OnInit()
      ↓
RemoveAddedForm(None) → Papyrus error
      ↓
Object state is incomplete / corrupted
      ↓
MenuMaid2.dll enumerates character/menu data
      ↓
Reads invalid pointer
      ↓
💥 CTD

1st one, no clue, second one, i believe it's the latter and the 3rd, ive personally had no issues just upgrading versions mid save so it should be fine generally

I can't wait for this to get another update as since the story is done, now the mod turns into a great follower mod with the follower having a nice back story and character which is already better than most mods + we get to do kinky bdsm stuff with her. If this keeps being worked on it will be right up there with buxom wench yuriana for best follower mods.

Just finished playing through this mod. It was a lot of fun! The puzzles were enjoyable to solve, the story was engaging, and the quality of the bondage scenes was much higher than many other mods that use Devious Devices.

I do have have some final questions though (spoilers!):

Spoiler

Question 1: I have yet to discover the purpose of the "Marked by Molag Bal" active effect after you pledge yourself to him in the Third Trial. Is this just meant to be a thematic visual mark, or are there story consequences I haven't yet found / haven't been implemented yet?

Question 2: To descend into the final chamber, I had to spawn a few Devious Devices in using the console to meet all the requirements outlined by the Dremora. I think the ones I had acquired throughout the quest had been removed from my inventory at some point (can't remember when, sorry!) I didn't mind spawning in more devices (since I got to have fun mixing and matching a bit ;) ) but maybe I missed an area where there are more Devious Devices stored?

Just finished and enjoyed overall. I really appreciated when the story gave some options about risks and sacrifices to accept. It seems like most mods in the devious space depend on players and npcs being completely insane and shameless in order to drive the action, but not so here. I hope to see more post-game features or even new chapters someday.

Some nitpicks:

Spoiler

Too many interactible red herring objects in the arcaneum dwemer laboratory. Lots of things that look like plausible ways to heat or cool the fork, among other distractions

I expected the dwemer suit to help with the Azura trial. If it doesn't have a use, I'd take it out. (Being forced into one unwillingly would be an interesting scenario.)

The conversation mostly fails to progress after getting in the X in the bedroom. Reloading a quicksave just before that point over and over eventually got past it.

As several others have noted, the bedroom floater never worked again after the initial bedroom scene, so I had to use tcl

Melting the mittens in the second trial is way outside anything normal game mechanics would lead you to imagine is possible without some very specific hinting

Similarly, the water current before Mephala seemed to my video game player brain more like a message "don't go here yet" than "this is a puzzle you could solve"
