That checks out, because while the DDNG menu has explicit controller support now, my custom menu isn't set up for that yet. Try replacing this script file in TTOF: FrayEQ2FutilityMinigame.pex, see if it works for controller afterwards.

 

It's rather worrying that pressing "e" on your keyboard still causes you to crash. Is that just on contraptions or does it happen on other interactions as well?

Pressing e crashes it whether or not you're in a contraption; that patch doesn't seem to have any effect - it's doing the same thing when I try to escape the X-cross.

Edit: Maybe try also mapping it to the attack button? It's possible DDNG Contraptions is consuming the activate press and that's why it isn't making it to your mod.

How bizarre. I check the esp for dirty edits before each release, but I've never seen it hold an entry to a deleted formID from my own mod before. Well, at least it's probably an easy fix then. I guess I owe you, @unkown2155271 and the MIC author(s) an apology, seems like the issue was on my side after all. I'll go post a new version with that field removed as a hotfix.

The game freezes and crashes whenever I try to remove the blindfold while moving across the crumpled carpet. After starting a new save file to retest, I discovered that after drinking the wine and going to sleep, the screen remains permanently black. I can hear background sounds, but the screen stays black with no further gameplay progression. How should I address this issue? I eagerly and sincerely await your response.

That could explain a lot of my recent crashes, all of which seemed to reference the music soundtrack

Forgot to post this changelog.

 

v2.2.2:
- Hotfix to remove a deleted Music Track formID that was somehow in the v.2.2.1 esp, which was causing crashes.

 

v2.2.2 is intended as a hotfix for v2.2.1. If you're on v2.2.1, please upgrade to v2.2.2, even on existing saves and even when you're already started the quests.

It's not entirely clear to me from your answer so let me ask again to be sure: are you actually crashing every time you press the interact key, even outside of anything DD related? Because if so then it may be a different issue related to VR control maps rather than anything DD or even mod-related in general.

 

Key presses aren't "consumed" as far as I know, anything registered for them will run sequentially (though in an unspecified order). Did you load a save that was already on the cross? Because the script replacement won't have any effect if you're loading a save where the quest has already started (well, specifically, where the portion of the quest that puts you on the cross already happened). I'll do some testing myself later to verify the controller support, when I have some time for it.

For the crash issue, read the previous page on this thread: you're likely using PAHE:DOM which ships with a broken blindfold mesh. You can fix it with load order or wait for PAHE:DOM to be updated.

 

For black screen starting the first quest: I'll need more info. Skyrim version, mod version, and a papyrus log of it happening.

The game crashes when I press the "e" key on the keyboard, not when I press the interact key on the VR controls.

As for the save I loaded, I tried both when I was already on the cross and right before (when you're supposed to attack Irkalla).

I love the concept of the mod, but unfortunately i had to abandon my playthrough due to being softlocked by bugs. The first was irkala not properly going to sleep after tying you into the chair, causing a softlock where you don't regain control after boethia gives you the lockpick. that one had a solution posted by a commenter in the guide. but after that i encountered a second softlock in the trial of the toy, where you never regain control after poisoning irkala. the quest updated and gave me the escape objective, but i couldn't interact with anything. after that i had to admit defeat.

 

I also had a lot of issues with furniture animations being overwritten, mostly by vibration or orgasm animations, and sometimes this broke the furniture animations altogether. I'm fairly sure DD was the cause but I couldn't find a way to make it stop.

Edit: while I'm reporting stuff, I also had an issue with the "float up" teleporter in Irkala's bedroom. It would not activate at all when I used it. The game automatically teleported me to the loft during the first part of the scene, where you don't have player control, but to get back up after eating i had to use noclip. the "float up" teleporter used to access the living space from the mushroom ground floor worked just fine.

Thank you. After uninstalling PAHE: DOM, the game resumed functioning normally. However, when I reached Chapter 2, the issue resurfaced. After Irkala restrained the PC in the bondage chair and the screen went black, she did not go to sleep but remained standing in place. I was unable to regain control to break free from the restraints.

Urgently and sincerely request your response.

I had this specific issue, along with others mentioned here (like unable to fly up/down to/from bedroom), but I'm using modlist that is 1800+ mods deep, so I'm just expecting things to break one another.
What helped me here is to set stage of the quest to 400 (via console) ("setstage FrayEQ2 400", I THINK that's the correct quest id), then struggle out of the chair through regular mini game.

I think there is an issue with the toy piercing mesh, getting the red exclaimation when it is equipped. (playing on LE)

 

... on further investigation it appears to be the glow mesh and not the piercing mesh.

what are the cuffs at the beginning of the gordian bind? they were causeing my game to lag extremely bad so i was gonna disable the hdt/smp on them but i cant find them in bodyslide

Hi Frayed,

 

I just wanted to say that I love the mod and the storylines (and Irkalla😁). I really appreciate the level of detail and how smoothly everything seems to work with the latest version compared to the Alpha and Beta. Besides the bedroom float thingy not working, I've had zero issues and zero crashes so far, and i've completed it twice over already. It is an achievement in itself for any Skyrim mod, and rather rare (especially on this niche website). I almost can't believe that this great mod is free, and therefore I'd like to say thank you so much for sharing your work with us! Keep up the good work, I'm very excited for any possible future expansions you make to the mod and hopefully more exciting minigames with Irkalla.

 

For anyone having issues, I hope you find out what is causing the crashes so you can also enjoy this excellent and exciting mod for yourself!

Try this mod again.

 

The hood can't be removed. I have the key, I move it to the gargoyl, clik on the hood... and I always got the message saying the key won't enter into the lock.

A debug ?

another problem spotted : the slavery ending is incompatible with other slavery themed mods.

the player still have the hood and is blocked in a pillory anim object. There is no way to remove it, even with removeallitems.

Hey @Frayed. I recently updated ToF after quite some time of not playing it and unfortunately I experience brown face bug on pretty much all the NPC's, including Irkalla. Earlier, this was the case for Dremora and Jurgin, but with Irkalla it's unfortunately gamebreaking 😪. Skyrim LE.

Well, there was nothing wrong with the concept of your comment, just the way you worded it.  To me your comment seemed a bit pushy, like "I want this, when are you going to give it to me?"  Sure, you did not say that, but it could have been taken that way.  All I am saying is maybe rephrase future requests in a manner that is respectful to the time and effort that the author puts into making a mod.

 

I do not speak for the mod author, they are certainly free to ignore both our comments, I am also not trying to start a comment war.

By the ending all restraints should have been removed

hi there! i would love to see the game you play with iralka in the trial of the toy as a minigame you can play with her afterwards, it seems like such a missed opportunity to use it just for that quest and not use it for her as a companion, i love this mod and can't wait to play it again but this time going a different direction in a snare to loosen!
