I finished the second quest so far, and like when I played the first one, I'm amazed how much work has been put in this mod. Congrats.

However I found a couple of bugs.

-Firstly after finishing A Snare to Loosen, accepting Irkalla's request to go rigth away with her seems to conflict with Simple Slavery (or maybe Defeat too), as you end on Riften Slave Market. Choosing to leave and getting lured via curier note later seems to work fine tough, and everithing works fine for almost two thirds of the mod, although on Irkalla's checkup after cleansing the first shrine, I couldn't interact with the chair to eat whit her, but maybe that's something to do with Devious Devices, as removing them through console worked fine (maybe I have to confIigure DD on the MCM a certain way...?)

-After the staff puzzle (my favorite btw), removing the spiderwebs didn't open anything, and believe me when I say I burnt that entire room just in case.

-I followed the instructions of our old dremora friend to go through the barrier until he said it was perfect, but it didn't had any effect on the pit barrier. After finding no solution to this, I clipped trough the barrier, and despite what the walthrough says, Boethia wasn't there to help me, but that probably has to do with the fact I cheated that part. Oh well.

Nevertheless, incredible work, thanks for the mod.

Well after putting on the handcuff to escape from the cell in The Gordian Bind, a strange thing happened. The FPS decended to a very low level, and the delay between operation and reaction increased greatly, which made my game unplayable. I'm not quite sure whether it is a bug but can prove it always happens.

okay i found the issue, my CPU is 100% occupied after putting on the handcuff and use less physical behaviors would help a bit. i do appreciate Frayed put the corresponding key just adjoining the gate so that i can end suffering. i know it might not be a bug and i do hope it can be taken into consideration and refined to help those who don't have a good enough device to play.

In case of DD that usually depends on HDT configurations in your mods.

Can someone spoil how to get the straightjack off please. I am not sure if my game is just bugged or if i am missing something. I looked at the walkthrough but that was when it was an armbinder and I have no option on the wall torch for aiding with the straightjacket.

In the second test of the second act? IIRC...

Spoiler

There's some tool on the other side of the gate. You have to use Dragon shout pull to get it. You then stick it in the crack in the wall and it acts as a lockpick.

But I can't remember if that's for the straightjacket or the yoke.

No the first part of the quest

Sorry, I don't remember that part. I know you walk around in the 2nd act in a red straitjacket. There's a key somewhere for it, or you can use lockpicks.

Hello, thanks for the wonderful mod. I would like to report several bugs that I found in my playthrough of the second part of the mod.

CRITICAL:
1)In the puzzle with the pedestals (to get to the mephale). Grand Staff of Charming, Staff of Fear and Staff of Reanimation do not trigger on pedestals. I tried to use them several times, load an earlier save and even started my walkthrough all over again, none of this helped (I had to use tcl).
2)After I put on all the necessary devices and the dremora said that everything was perfect and wished me good luck, I came into the house and still couldn’t get through the barrier.
3)When I arrived at the uncovered sanctum, Boethiah did not appear to help me (perhaps this is due to the fact that I went through the barrier using tcl due to the fact that it did not disappear?). Also the shout I get from Boethiah requires dragon souls to level up, but even if I have them it just doesn't work.
4)At the end of the game, if I took a fake gem, Irkalla does not take it away after I am tied up, but simply continues to beat me until I die.

Not critical:
After Irkalla meets me at the exit from the location with the altar of Boethiah and begins a dialogue in a small cave. Irkalla always repeats the dialogue twice and if you exit the second dialogue it gets stuck on it and at the end of the game it starts again, Irkalla's dialogues will not advance until the second dialogue is completed correctly. There is nothing critical about this, it just looks strange.

I also want to offer some ideas. It would be nice to have some ongoing content after the ending. For example, make Boethiah's challenges replayable. Or if we save Irkalla we get... nothing? I'm not sure how realistic this is, but it would be cool if we could switch places and play with her.

Thank you very much for the quest, it was interesting.

Staff of Reanimation worked me but the other 2 (Charming and Fear) did nothing. Actually i never found Grand Staff of Charming during my travels and i always looted everything that was lootable so i gave it with console.

There was also no way to reset the staff sequence and i had started it in wrong order already, once a pedestal is lit it stays on forever.

I tried to use "unlock" command on the door but it was still sealed with magic so i went with "tcl" too.

After that i don't see "Staff of flames" anywhere, but i do have "Staff of Fireballs" and "Staff of Firebolts". They broke the cobwebs but there is nothing behind either of them. I do see some "ants" next to one but it is solid wall of bricks and i can't go through it. So "tcl" again.

After talks with the caged guy and wearing everything until he says it's perfect, i tried to go to the barrier at the near mushroom house and i get blown away by it.

looks like i am hitting a common issue that the search function doesn;t seem to have an answer to-- trial of the toy-- the table only registers the gloves, not the outfit or boots, what is the setstage code to advance this?

Has anyone found a solution for this yet?

I had the same issue, I think one of SimonRim's mods removes the Staff of Charming and replaces it with Hypnosis which makes this mod incompatible with that. A simple solution for Frayed for the sake of compatibility is to just make the staff you use part of the mod since it's a fairly popular suite of mods.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, i have never used collections or stuff with Skyrim nor heard of SimonRim before. I found some list like this:

... and compared to mods i have. Same mods should only be:

Address Library, SkyUI, SKSE, USSEP, powerofthree

Finished A Snare to Loosen, making the deal with clavicius, declining Irkalla and then 'killing' her.

Does this disable the invitation/start for gordion bind?

~2 weeks of world time has passed in the regular game and still no invitation/luring.

I just finished the first quest and my god does this mod piss me off.

I don't know if I had a uniquely bad experience or what but as someone who never comments on anything I feel compelled to share this.

Starting the mod was a shitshow. Falling asleep in the inn only led to a black screen, and no matter what I did, nothing would progress. My fix was to sleep in the bed, drink the wine, and THEN press E on the bed im currently sleeping in. Next, I get transported to the dungeon with no restraints. That's fine, I had no idea in the beginning that I was supposed to have anything, but I quickly got softlocked. I had to restart the mod from the beginning and hope it worked. Which it did.

Next, I bumble around for a while slowly making progress slowly getting more irritated, and then resorting to the walkthrough as I hate having my time wasted. I know its an "escape room" type deal, and I got the orb, but the orb stopped working. I would ask it for help, it would give me its little task, id do it, and then instead of giving me my hint I worked for, would start its dialogue from the beginning and tell me I need to restrain myself.

Next, removing the boots was wild. I stacked the cart with all the items to reach the sun lantern, but I couldnt for the life of me jump up on it. Nothing I did worked. This is when I started to just say "fuck it" and started using console commands. I had to tcl my way up to the top and touch the sun lantern, and quickly disable tcl and land on top of the cart pile. I ragdoll fell and the pile collapsed. I got back up, only for it to lock my movement and key presses. All I could do is spin my character around with my locked view angle and do absolutely nothing. When I quicksaved and loaded, I started spazzing out like a garry's mod ragdoll all over the map. That's not hyperbole either. I literally mean it when I was a gmod ragdoll. The only way I fixed this was I conveniently saved beforehand and did the step a second time, having to use tcl again hoping I wouldnt have the same issue. Thankfully I did not.

When I had to do the deal with the dremora servant, the SL scene wouldnt play and we just stood inside eachother for about 20 seconds until I got more irritated and cancelled the scene. Thankfully the mod progressed and he let me unlock the door.

The worst part was after I left and got immediately put in more bindings. I tried searching here if anyone else removed them but I was at a loss. all I could do was wander around like an idiot, and apparently the author of devious devices was smart enough to prevent you from removing the bindings with console commands. My way around this was to just grab my items, avoid the door, tcl to the ladder at the other side of the room, unlock it with commands, leave. Then make a save, and go back into the room and kill my captor with commands. (mostly out of apprehension that I would trigger the bindings by confronting her).

I know there was probably some way to remove the second set of bindings but at that point I was at hour 3 and so fed up with all the BS I was subjected to I just wanted it to be over so I could go play regular skyrim. I mean regular skyrim. like, the dawnguard DLC. I havent touched that one much.

I think it's a combination of issues - you probably aren't one who's prone to like the escape room type stuff. It's supposed to be confusing and frustrating.

But you also experienced a lot of bugs, several I haven't seen on this mod before. Likely there are some mod conflicts or out of date dependencies.

But throw in the third issue - that the current release is a non stable beta, and the issues are probably overwhelming.

Generally, for this mod, I advise a completely new character meant for throw away, so you can switch to another character if it gets too frustrating.

Also, in the second act of the mod

Spoiler

The reason you kept getting bound was because if you walk in the gargoyle statues' visual range, they force you to equip devious devices in your inventory. To stop that, put a bucket on their head.

Yeah, fair. I remember there being a gargoyle at the door when I opened it, but I never knew THEY were the things putting the bindings on me. I would open the door, see the captor, try to kill/talk, and she would instantly teleport away while we are starting the conversation. My second attempt I just bumrushed her and stunlocked her with Ordinator's archery perk which allows you to stun and then shoot an enemy to ragdoll them. Did that until she died. After that is when I got the bindings on me, but I was on the opposite side of the room, out of the gargoyles view. I don't know. It was late and I just wanted to go to bed.

That only happens in act 2 though; if it's happening in the first dungeon ur mods are messed up really bad. Because there's no forced re-binding in Act 1

Are you sure? I'm talking about after you open the final locked door after retrieving your stuff from the chest.

At the end of Act 1, you talk to Irkalla. She doesn't re-bind you - but rather ragdolls you (if you still have the nipple clamps locked on and not deactivated). You don't end up bound again until the beginning of Act 2.

The recommended method is that in Act 1:

Spoiler

You don't take the deal with the underwater Dremora who deactivates the nipple clamps. Remove all the rest of the bindings, make a deal with the Dremora by the bookcase to fuck you in exchange for deactivating the blocking spell on the door. Retrieve your gear, talk to Irkalla. Accept her offer rather than fighting her.

At that point, she will ragdoll you and Act 2 will restart - at which point you're bound again.

The only way you're supposed to fight Irkalla is if:

Spoiler

1) You've completely removed your nipple clamps (in which I think she instantly aggros); or

2) You've deactivated the nipple clamps but not removed them; then, through dialog, Irkalla figures out that you figured out how to deactivate the nipple clamps

In Act 1, there should never be a point where you get "auto-re-locked-up".

This is a great mod but during the part of Gordian Bind, i reach the warped Azura shrine and i press E but nothing happen......did i miss something?

Having an issue where going back to Azura to talk after completing Boethiah's trials, apparently she went on vacation and the shrine is dark and without interaction of any kind.

@Frayed said he's still working on it. But he hasn't been on here a lot. I figure given how long it took to get Act 2 up, its reasonable to trust that Frayed is trlling the truth.
