With the modded face, that's no wonder. I based the CowHead faces on the vanilla femalehead.nif, so whenever someone uses a custom race, they need to create their own HeadParts. With Serana replacers that's a different matter. Serana ist NordRaceVampire by default. As long as the replacer mod does not change that (e. g. by copying that race and renaming it), BAC has no indication that something is different. Any prefab NPC faces will be gone with the CowHead muatation, that cannot be helped. If you don't like it, disable it for NPCs. If you just want Serana to stay the way she is, disable it for NPCs, treat Serana through all the stages she has, and then enable it again.

 

Did the transformation to cow already start? You need to be at least stage 1 cow for Paul to respond.

I set both correctly, the player is fine, but NPCs only have the body affected.
The mod doesn't change race, just uses a different head sculpt (still based on femalehead.nif). I did have to disable it, but if there's no fix for this, then I guess I'll have to keep it that way.

I couldn't activate the new one at all. Is it still tied to milking in some capacity?

Honestly, I'd prefer to have the mod work without milk pumps and Paul. I already use LactTat to make the transformation occur over time rather than via milking, but I haven't been able to start it without milking once so far.


On topic of bare skin vs cow fur, I think a mutation that makes breasts pink like the udder would be nice.

Since I disagree with both of these requests and prefer my bovine to just have the current combination of fur/naked + naked ass mootation, I humbly suggest a "library" of archived textures in the download section from which everyone can mix and match their preferred fetishes. Given, of course, that someone creates them in the first place, as I'd prefer that @Botticelli were allowed to focus on the core functionality and @Addywil on the models.

Nobody's suggesting to replace the current textures for my (or whoever's) preferences, so whether you "disagree" or not doesn't matter. This is a mod about a fetish, so don't you think shutting down people's suggestions is a bit too close-minded?

Maybe my remark did come across harsher than it was intended to sound, as english is my second language, not my first. I learned the hard way to make my opinion heard in time, in order to not being overruled. So yeah, right back at you, I guess.

 

As the textures aren't in the core mod anyway due to size constraints, it wouldn't be a problem to create the suggested library for everyone to mix and match according to their taste. Maybe you overread that part for whatever reason.

I think the suggestion was to make alternate tats, e. g. one as it is, another with your preference and still others, and evenryone can then chosse the tats to their liking. Since the tats are separate anyway, that would be no big deal once they are created.

Yeah I got that part, but the "I disagree with their suggestions" came off quite harsh indeed and was honestly unnecessary. The library suggestion was fine and was the intended purpose of multiple versions of the cow tats anyway so there are options.

Speaking of, I did try to create a texture to cover the non-fur bits with my awful skills and I came up with this.

Found a few errors upon testing, apparently the bum part is UV mapped weirdly so it came out all wrong and it still wasn't completely covered. My main problem is that the spots version (the one I tested on) is super hard to do. I'm not good enough to fill in the blanks with spots. But I did find something interesting:
When I opened the .dds in photoshop, I was met with this

Which is completely different than opening it in photopea (https://www.photopea.com/)

Clearly the .DDS file still has the bits that were removed for the transparency inside somehow. So... that's some food for thought for anybody more competent than me.

 

 

UPDATE:

I did a thing, turns out the non-spots version was much easier to do (who knew, freaking spots), this is most probably not the final take, it's just a 40-minute attempt at it.

I'm going to attempt the brown and spots versions but I'm not confident about it.

That is just a different way of displaying the texture. Photoshop handle images that has an alpha channel by displaying the Alpha seperatly from the RGB while Photopea (I have no experience with this program) seems to render the Alpha with the RGB in its viewport.
 

As I was mentioned in regards to this: I must flag that I am not that interested in reworking the fur textures at this moment. I would rather focus on the hand hooves, but my creativity outside work is on a bit of a hiatus (blame my job for allowing me to be a bit more creative the past few week :P ) .

That's alright! There was no harm in asking ?. I'm attempting to do it myself with my 0 knowledge but if someone wants something enough, where there's a will there's a way the saying goes.

And you certainly made the person that disagreed with me happy at least.

 

I'm trying to juryrig a texture for the spots version using the white one as a base, it's.... complicated to say the least.

Do I need scripts from older versions? Because I installed this version of mod from scratch, on a clean version of game(LE).

I'm looking forward to seeing screenshots from these variants in your game. ^^ Starting is always tricky. But you'll do great!

No, do not get anything from older versions, whether it's BAC alternative or the original BAC.

And there's already a customizable mutation system.

Hello, I wanted to ask if i'm missing somethin in my game or not. In the quest "Unowned", when i talked with Paul and got to the choice of attaching the ring or not, if i chose to attach the ring, the game always crashed, and it started to crash when I chose not to put it on a little after finishing talking with Paul. I'm not sure why that is. Also, My character turned blue for some reason and I can't figure it out. Maybe I read the instructions all wrong but I thought it was working.

Managed to do all 3 bodies. The heads are a nightmare, I'd have to fill all the middle where the skin should be but I have no idea how to recreate the hair and make more of it in a way that doesn't look absolutely hideous

It's something I'm working on for myself and I'm not affiliated with botticelli or anybody involved in the mod xD

 

I did the 3 body textures successfully but I'm having trouble with the faces.

Q2C is optional and in no way related to TF not starting. Please check if quest bac_main is running (sqv bac_main in the console). That's the quest responding to MME's milking modevent. If you set log verbosity in BAC MCM to NORMAL and activate console logging, you should see some related messages in the console starting with BAC:: Maybe there's a hint. What's your setting for curse start? Old style should start it immediately upon milking, Lactacid amount should start it at some point with your lactacid current >= preset value from MCM (defualt 10, there's a radnom component to it, so it may take some time). Blended Lactacid immediately upon taking Blended Lactacid out of a chest or another actor.

Character blue = missing tats. Unowned crashing = wrong version of ZaZ.

Eh, the bodies came out perfectly but the head's just impossible, And I can't fix the neck seam no matter how much I try, so I'm just gonna give up. I wish someone with actual texturing skills helped ?

i stuck at ordering the mino to push the button, he never does when i tell him press the button.. he also stands still unless i set him on i have something for you to do im guessing there is a conflict with my ai mods in se. 

anyone know the set stage to advance quest here?

nvm found the quest stage and set it but still could not exit :( hmm what is blocking the ai..

@botticelli Why does Paul keep saying "Ok, I will help you but I am really busy right now, so please come back later." ??? I got the horseshoe on so I wanna get to the next stage and get armor on the hooves but he keeps saying that. Is it related to the MCM setting to reduce or increase the cooldown on Paul's requests? Because I have it set to 1 day and over 3 days passed and he keeps saying he's busy even though he's not doing anyhing. I noticed the difference between him letting you get some work on your hooves and saying he's busy is this Condition #0:

Subject.GetVMQuestVariable(bac_blacksmith "Hammerheart" [QUST:9400EA6E], ::CanService_var) <> 1.000000 AND

Which means that if the variable CanService is not 1 then he's "busy", but what dictates whether he can service or not? I'm not running any other quest since I started over a new save, only Hammerheart.

How do I disable BAC and keep my save? I CTD after disabling BAC. I cleared all my tats/mutations etc. The only thing I can't get to work is removing the bell and nose ring. Please help.

Currently not really possible. Any mod that has activated scripts is baked into your save. You might get lucky, but the vast majority of mods that use scripts will cause a CTD if you try to load a save file without the mod loaded.

There's a cooldown of random 3 to 6 hours game time, but it also checks if quest bac_blacksmith_workloop is not running. if it still is, service will not resume:

        CanService = CanService || (BACActor.GetCowNextService(Game.GetPlayer()) <= Utility.GetCurrentGameTime() && !Workloop.IsRunning())

So check on the workloop quest and if that's not running use "End work cooldown" on BAC MCM Debug page.
