i just can't get into skyrim, i spent 60 bucks on it when it first came out, waited for the CS to release, got bored and left. came back, got SE for 40 bucks, still kinda feel there are more mods for standard edition, but i got to go on a scavenger hunt for the privilege to give Bethesda more money for dlc they don't seem to even want to sell.

is there a way to transfer my SE dlc to regular edition, or should i pirate it? am i a monster for wanting something but not want to pay for it when i have payed so much to a company happy to wring ever more money from my dumb-ass through obsfication?

*Tangent alert*

hell, can i support any games these days? i can't play the game i payed for overwatch without feeling like i endorse the bullshit over at activision and the greedy fuck bobby kotick.

should i be buying pokemon games , when despite it being a highly profitable IP, gamefreak is starved for cash and had to resort to nonsense excuses as to why they cut some pokemon and to this day? i still can't have my edgelord devildoggo and knifedog in the same fucking game. and will they ever release  the gba games for digital sale....

and fuck ubisoft and and and gah, grumble grumble nfts cryptocurecy grumble trump grumble grumble obama grumble grumble congress grumble russia grumble supreme court grumble china grumble grumble afganistan grumble grumbl antivaxxers grumbble

comunism sucked, but i feel capitalism is going the same way. the west sucks the east north south sucks, lets just call the whole thing off.

.

.. wait wasn't i talking about a fantasy videogame or something?

I don't know if there's a way to backport the DLC from SE to LE, but plenty LE mods seem capable of running on SE ( or have a spiritual successor that will work for SE.)

If you run into a specific mod that seems to exist in LE only, just ask around the forums and maybe someone can point you to the SE equivalent.

don't y'all take this too seriously, yeah I'm a bit miffed at this stuff (and as far as i'm concerned, rightfully so), but like you said i'm leaving my rant rather vague and fragmented,

i'm not expecting to change the world or anything, just venting how wierd and frustrating gaming these days can be, yeah it's mostly me being an adult viewing things through less naive eyes,

but man, i just want to play a game without having to worry that i might be supporting something fucked up in the world, the free dlc isnt the problem its the nonsense of re-re-re-releases and hiding old stuff.

Even with just voting, any one of us can support something evil in the world... so, it's pointless to think about...

not pointless, yes there is many little ways all of us add to the ills of the world but a little self reflection can help reduce the amount which we add

So, just play the game and have fun as much you can with the content you have. And we all know, no one can have it all...

Dude simply by drinking Soda from the wrong company you support stealing water from dieing villages and you worry about a few bucks for a game?

Yes you should pay. Nothing on this planet comes for free, if you have the game for playstationa nd want it on pc you have to buy the pc version, if you have the new version of skyrim and want to go back to the older version cause of AE, you need to pay. Not like the game costs that much anymore.

If you want to have full AE Content you have to pay too.. And get yourself checked into a hospital cause you might be mental and a danger to us all ?..

That is not Capitalism so much as it is Corporatism or Mercantilism not that Capitalism even is what most people think that it is. Much of the time, people are talking about free markets but then somewhere along the line, they start referring to Corporatism as Capitalism (a term invented by opponents of a free market to begin with).

I mean, while I probably shouldn't endorse or approve of piracy publicly (and thus for legal reasons this is a joke), you should totally y'arr LE if you're able to. Beth intentionally told Steam to delist Legendary Edition from the Store so that all future Skyrim sales would go to SE instead and they thus would be able to shill their Creation Club microtransaction bullshit. Fuck that. They don't deserve a single dime for anything LE-related ever since.

Honestly, I've bought MS Store AE, and it was a mistake... There is no SKSE supports at all, so back to the basics, right... ? Honestly, I've been a member of TESO for a long time, I don't have any regrets... No more since they ARE part of Microsoft ! x)

There's no such thing as "free", whatever doesn't cost money will cost time(hours downloading a game or DLC for example) or the lives of others and their families just because "I want what I want and I will kill everyone who stands between me and my selfish desires"

Knowledge is free !

It cost only Time... Money is for people who don't bare to wait, if you push your thoughts this way. So the more they use money, the less knowledge they know.

It's the same with Love, I guess...

DLC means "downloadable content". Every single mod, even a small tweak, is a DLC, and anyone who thinks otherwise is an adept of corporative cabbagerism.
