Blue Reflection Second Light Mod Discussion

The file structure has been changed to reflect the modifications and additions.
Please delete my previous mods and use them again.

 

-Modifications
Fixed that some enemy parts were disappearing when YUUKI's skirt was erased.
Changed the hash of the underwear eraser for each character currently supported.
(The background and objects are completely unaffected by underwear erasing)

 

-Additional elements
HIORI's uniform on/off.
Added support for turning HIORI's underwear on and off.
Added support for turning MIYO's uniform on and off.
Added support for turning MIYO's underwear on and off.
Added on/off for each character's skirt.
(To support the miniskirts that will be added later)

 

-Function operation
Key 1: Turn on/off the uniform shirt.
Key 2: Turn on/off underwear.
Key 3: Toggle the reflector status of HINAKO.
Key 4: Turn on/off the skirt.

 

-Notes.
I've checked all areas up to the point where MIYO joins the team, and didn't find any glitches, but there may be some I missed.
Some cutscenes may still be glitchy because they may use special objects and hashes for that time, and because you can't look back and watch cutscenes that have already passed.
LIME is still a prototype file as it is not a complete companion.
HIORI's default uniform outfit did not originally contain any underwear texture, so she is always without underwear.
(The Another Color version has underwear).
With this update, all previous mods will be removed.

Okay so I'm trying to do some modding for the first time because no one has really made the mods I'm looking for. Problem I have is when I try to extract the models using the dump in 3dmigoto (I have the dump.ini in my mods folder) all I get are the 2 log files. What am I doing wrong?

 

I hit 0 to bring up the UI

F3 to make sure body and costume is enabled

F8 to dump

 

But all I get is 2 log files. Nothing else.

and sry, I'm not watching this thread as carefully as I usually watch them so I missed that guy saying not to do it here..  

I saw it a little bit ago today..

 

is it a patreon only group?

 

anyways, would you at least post here about it if he completes the camera mod?(I mean, like the info)

 

I was thinking of joining his patreon, but apparently he's not very friendly I guess..  from how the other guy Ninomae Takonis acted when you did share the link..

so maybe I won't do that.

And further testing seems to indicate that these are not the nighttime textures, so it's still unclear where that stacked texture is used.

 

In other news, when reimporting Z-Stacked texture, you have to make sure that the number of mipmaps is the same as for the original, else the game will crash because it doesn't find the additional stacked textures where it expects.

 

This means that if you use Paint.net or Visual Studio to regenerate the mipmaps, you're probably going to end up with more than 10 mipmaps instead of the expected 3 used by the game, and your textures won't work.

 

Note that it only applies to stacked textures. If you have a standard nonstacked texture, then you can change the number of mipmaps and the game doesn't care.

 

I'll try to update gust_tools to discard mipmaps levels that were not in the original texture automatically, so that you can just reimport a texture that was modified in Paint.net or other editors, without having to manually edit it.

The camera mod isn't released. It was just a small gif showing the progress which was already posted here. As for why he doesn't want his Discord and Patreon shared right now, it's because he came under attack by Koei Tecmo trying to shut down modding of their games and various people harassing him about mods they wanted. He's plenty friendly, he just wants to keep a low profile so he doesn't get a lawsuit.

 

There is nothing on the Discord besides some screenshots which have already been shared here. All of his mods are publicly and freely available already. Patreon is only to support him or try out his WIP beta mods. Support it if you want to try them. Or don't. Its your choice.

Nah, you don't need to do anything, as I've since updated gust_g1t so that it'll automatically set the correct amount of mipmaps for Z-stacked textures (by removing any extra mipmaps if needed).

 

You can just export from PhotoShop or Gimp or Paint.net with as many mipmaps as you want, and gust_g1t takes care of making sure that the updated texture will be accepted by the game, even if there's a Z-stack.

 

I tested this by editing the school uniform texture (000.dds) from pc000_scl.g1t in Gimp, and was able to see the changes applied (after of course making sure that the texture was re-exported as BC3 / DXT5 with the Generate Mipmaps option set in Gimp, to ensure that the same data format was being kept):

it mostly involves unpacking files and editing values so its not exactly user friendly yet

@zenchan thanks :) edit: yeah, I think I see what you were talking about now..  .nut files?  I guess the reason you meant you couldn't do anything with the events is that no one decypted the ecd files and other file formats in the events and event messages folders..   too bad, I'm curious what is in those too  :(

I guess I could only play with the ai of npcs and monsters at the moment  lol

The encryption in the Unreal Engine is usually very difficult to decipher without a developer tool. ><

the japanese ppl on that link have figured out a lot about fixing the camera except the height factor when you move a girl up to high or look up with her too high..  she will disappear still..   it might be controlled in the actual code

 

but as hilbo75 said, it is somewhat not normal user, friendly..  it really is editing values and then running a few .xml files through a gust tools app to create an encrypted version of the .xml files( It seems like the game only uses the encrypted version)..   and deleting a few properties in another 2 .xml files..

 

but now I can at least move the camera mostly how I want and zoom out and in, very far and very close..   it's a pretty good change

Could the file be shared for us less technically challenged individuals?
