Sorry, all I did was tweak the game's ghost spawning logic to force a specific ghost to spawn on command. I have no idea how the models or transparency are handled.

The cheat is called Ghost Spawn Controller. It uses the game's random ghost spawn mechanics as its backbone. Here's how the game does it : every map is divided into smaller "areas". Each of these areas has a specific table of ghosts than can spawn randomly under normal circumstances. Whenever you move from an area to the next, the game randomly selects 1 ghost from that new area's table as the one that will randomly be spawned later (if it occurs). In other words, the ghost gets selected long before actually spawning.

 

Because this cheat is tied to those game mechanics, it creates a few innate limitations :

1. You can only spawn 1 ghost at a time.
2. If you want to change the type of ghost to spawn, you will need to force the game to go through its ghost selection code again. You can do this by moving to another area, spawning a ghost and killing it, or by using one of the cheat entries which is described further below. Don't get confused if you try spawning a specific ghost but a different one shows up (because that ghost had already been previously selected by the game)
3. There are locations and times in the story where the random ghost spawner is simply deactivated, meaning you won't be able to use the cheat. E.g. at Kurosawa's Antiques outside of Ren's drops, after picking up Hisoka's charm in Drop 2, etc.

The cheat entries are :

1. Selected Ghost Type : the ghost you want to spawn in. It has a dropdown list of the possible values. A few specific notes :
   1. Shrine Maidens 2 and 3 don't seem to have a grab, as they were never intended to appear as enemies in the first place.
   2. Shiragiku's dolls won't spawn when fighting her (unless you were already in an area where the dolls can appear naturally, I'd assume, but I haven't tested this)
2. Generate New Ghost : set this to 1 if you want to force the game to select a new ghost. Useful after changing the type of ghost to spawn, for reasons explained above. The value will be reset to 0 automatically right after.
3. Spawn Ghost : set this to 1 to spawn the ghost. The value will be reset to 0 right after.
4. Read-only info : contains useful info for debugging purposes. You can see the Area ID that you're in, notably. If the Area ID is FFFFFFFF, or Spawner Active is 0, it means you are in a location or game state where random ghosts can't be spawned. I wouldn't recommend trying to modify these values directly as you have a strong likelihood of crashing the game.

Now that this is done, I can finally start working on the cameras and their interactions during a ghost grab.

 

Disclaimer : as always, this has yet to be tested extensively, so bugs may or may not occur.

I think he means you can share whatever rework for his free shared mods but, do not share anything that is related to his paid mods

Well, for Yuri, it was once on his google sheet, but later then he removed it, so not public now.

For the Miko, I actually used Miu's body, which was never on the list.

So I don't know then.

For the Yuri mod, see if you can find it now on his public resources. (Twitter, including his reworked sheet as well as his discord.) If you can't. You have your answer.

As far as Miko with Miu body, if you got it on Patreon it's a no go. Essentially what he means is any file not released on Patreon is good to go. As long as it had a public release. Honestly, I'd say even the Yuri mod is fine, as it was publicly available at one point. (At least that's what I'm assuming based off your post. I honestly haven't kept track of his releases. Just downloaded them.)He does depreciate mods if he reworks them.

 

But, this is all up to you. If you want to go the extra mile, I'd directly DM him on discord. If he says no, he says no. If no answer, use your best judgement and if you decide to release, and he get's pissed, you have a legitimate fallback. (Hey man, I sent you a DM. I gave you X amount of hours or days to respond with a NO.  You didn't respond.)

 

But, again, this is all up to you. But I'd say as long as you did your due diligence, and give him the proper credit. I'd say morally you are good. The responsibility falls on him to respond in a timely manner to clarify on a specific mod case. Not on you. Silence is a form of acknowledgement. Unless explicit instructions are provided. Which obviously they aren't. Otherwise, if he had a problem with it, he should voice it. Or again, as seems to be the problem with him, make his rules and restrictions, absolutely explicit and impossible to misconstrue or misunderstand.

 

PS: If you go the discord DM route, make damn sure whatever machine translator you use, link it to him. That way, there's absolutely no way for him to say he can't translate it and lost the meaning. (Also due diligence means, you verify the machine translation. Translate it from your language into his, and then take that machine translation and translate it back to yours and proof read. If the machine translation keeps the "gist of it" in both directions. You can be assured with a link to the tool, he should get the meaning.) But that is what I'd do if I were in your shoes. Ultimately, it's your decision. If you think too much BS is involved and don't want to deal with potential headache, don't release it.
