I just don't record my action anywhere, I would have to type it up from memory, and I know I always forget shit that I did. I'm not organized in that way at all. I'll leave a forum post for major content updates, but that's it.

Everyone probably has their own favorite species that they wish I would do more with. OH, I'll keep it in the back of my mind. Though, I will say that because of their theme, the best I'll probably do is another body variant or maybe a pregnant variant.

I have a list of event species that need artwork, and the Formless are one of them. Based on the story, they are kind of like an un-fucked version of the unbidden. I would need to take the unbidden assets and make a version of them that isn't plasma ghost looking shit and give them corporeal bodies. Not a high priority for me atm. Like I said, I have a whole list of event species that need custom artwork and the game is only getting bigger. I don't know if I'll ever catch up.

This tripped me up a couple days ago, but it's actually supposed to be just "bud"(I incorrectly had it as "buds" before). My method is to try to not modify the vanilla event files if I can help it, I just hijack their asset calls instead. the vanilla file that handles Azaryn looks for a "paragon_azaryn_1_bud", so the way I have it now is actually correct.

I went back and updated the BugHunters Hall of Fame at the bottom of my mod page... It made me really Nostalgic so I wanted to say a few words for the old schoolers

 

@Wobobo123 You'll always be a top poster for being there at the early days. You literally influenced the content of the mod with your fan work and I'll never forget that.

@Railgunner2160 You've been around since 2021, but you didn't get your first bug report in until 2024. LOLOLOLOL Thanks for coming along for the road.

@unwashed biomass Haven't seen you in a while but you were a huge help in the early days, plus @SohCahToa too! Haven't seen y'all in a while but haven't forgotten.

It IS grammatically more correct, but I found this in relation to giving her portrait set to a species where it still adds a 1_buds to the set, not the actual gal. I suppose it doesn't matter what it's called so long as it all matches up and both her events/portraits and the species look for the same asset.

I totally understand, don't worry. I don't expect for you to suddenly change your philosophy and start taking on requests, but at the same time, unless someone says something, you won't know which species' portraits are relatively popular. So I just did my part of expressing an interest. Whatever you'll do with your portrait pack, I'll take it, it is honestly something I can't imagine myself playing Stellaris without.

I noticed with the new update that a large chunk of the "Breeding Types" traits are missing. Specifically: Continuous_Breeders, Oral_Breeders, Oral_Seeders, Cloacal_Breeders, Drone_Breeders, Angio_Breeders, Monogomous, Polyamorous, Polygamous, Pedophilic, Inbred, Sexual_Cum_Dumpsters, Sexual_Predators, Xenos_Cum_Dumpsters, Xenos_Predators, Creature_Cum_Dumpsters, and Creature_Predators. I couldn't find any mention of it in the thread so I was wondering if they were missing by mistake?

This likely means that there is a syntax error in my code. I'll have a look.

 

Edit:: KK back. I didn't think I would be able to address this until tomorrow, but. I can't recreate this issue on my end. This sometimes happens to people when they don't delete the mod before updating to a new version.

Samll bug.

 

Bonie, the equine futa from the LV archeology project has a female portrait, despite, I think, she should be a futa. I checked the Pictures, and there are multiple futa portraits, so you did draw them.

I'm in the lustful void discord and one of the admins say that directors cut breaks lustful void. Is this true? And do you know what breaks?

I'm just not totally sure if it breaks since the description on the lovers lab page says "directors cut + lustful void" but this guy seems really adamant about it

Ah, he's probably just using the default or a random. I'll look into asinging one.

No. I have Lustful Void as a dependancy for the DC version. That kinda means you need it for my mod to even work. Now, I'm sure my mod effects things in ways not everyone likes. But, as far as I know it doesn't break LV.

I wouldn't trust the "expertise" of a guy whose sole authority on the matter is "admin on a Discord server". If he truly discovered a bug that breaks LV and can be reliably traced back to this portrait pack, he is welcome to report it, otherwise this is yet another case of spreading misinformation for whatever purpose. It may sound harsh, but I am honestly tired of people doing that.

Yeh something else is obviously going on, but I don't much care. Like I said, I ASSUME WHATS REALLY GOING ON is that he's just tired of having to deal with all the bug reports that are caused by my mod. It's not like it's his job to fix that stuff anyway. It's mine. If this is his way of reducing that burden, then that's fine by me.

Thanks for your kind words. I been busy lately but when I have time I always check new arts both in director cut and on newgrounds. New Hybrid races look so good and cant w8 for more of your arts.

thanks for the mention, it's all in the coding tools. haven't released proper mods myself but I have habit of breaking my game so often that running through the code is sometimes necessary to see whats wrong.

Tysm Calcifire, wish I could be more helpful but I suck butts at identifying bugs... Even when I do I end up just playing around them. 

Regardless, thanks for making such awesome art! Pls dont die in a car crash, I need Ep 2.

So I saw some pages back that someone was having issues with the fallen empires not having the correct portraits so I did a little digging to figure out what was causing it. First and foremost, ACOT is the problem, no surprises there. Specifically its dues to ACOT referencing its own fallen empires file over every other mods' files.

 

So to fix it and make calcifire's stuff show up properly you need to navigate to ACOT/common/fallen_empires and edit the acot_fallen_empires file to reference the portraits correctly.

(the same file in calcifires pack tells you what portraits are for which)

There's other things you can change to make them line up more closely but if you only care about the pictures not being right then the portrait line is all you need to fix. Obviously this makes ACOT dependent on the portrait pack but just make a copy of the original file(or never uninstall calcifire's stuff).

I dunno what other mods or civs could have this kind of problem but the solution is probably the same for them too.

I've observed some issues within the Ruler Appearance screen during empire creation with some trait dependant portraits. Once I go into the game itself, the portraits work as expected however.
It might be an issue from my side, rather than an issue with the mod itself, but I thought it would be worth mentioning here. I also don't have the current technical knowhow to look in the files for potential errors, so I can't check specifics of the issues.

 

Futa elves show a selection of 3 non-existent/empty/blank portrait options. Can end up with a blank portrait Ruler.

 

Slime boys have 0 selectable portraits with any of their traits. Works correctly in-game.

 

Also something that might be unintended is that the portraits that change with breast size (Red Head & Mimic) have the regular versions available for selection with petite/large traits, but with the huge breasts trait there's only portraits with huge breasts available. I assume that the latter is the intended behaviour, but it's not a big issue either way.

 

Dragon Female Rulers also have 0 selectable portraits, forcing the nude version of the portrait.

Every vanilla paragon also comes with x2 random events that fire every 10 years. The more paragons you have, the less likely you are to get the event you want + you could get bad luck.

The event ID to start Hask's quest is... "paragon.40410" no shame in using the console command to force him to spawn if you get bad luck next time. 👌

OH I bet all these issues sprung up when I added indeterminate gender support. I will double check them ASAP

The wires are crossed somewhere: Undyne slaves are using the free portrait and vice-versa

 

Also, I sometimes see this mermaid portrait? It's unavailable in character selection, so I suppose it's from an event?

are hybrids supposed to be nameless? I started with 2 species on my homeworld I gave one intercomp wombs and the other intercomp sperm, but the hybrids that spawn have blank names.. it's really strange.

No, they are considered primitive. Anytime the game rolls an ocean world with a primitive species, they will spawn for it.

I wasn't able to recreate. Though, I will also say that my system is independent from the vanilla xenocompatibility ascension perk, which I personally have disabled. So idk.

KK small hotfix is live based on everyone's bug reports. BUT I also want to mention that the "Purity Preservation" citizenship right from my other mod now plays well with my Interhuman Breeding system. Yes, you can now designate a species as "endangered" and stop them from going extinct.

I want to let you guys decide who gets it this time. So throw your hats into the ring in the comments bellow. I'll add some extra details in the spoiler bellow so you guys know what you're voting on.

Orek - Just old artwork that needs a bit of love and polish

Incubator - Kind of tame, she needs to be dialed up to 11. Needs more extreme cumflation, pregnancy, multipregnancy with fetuses from multiple species at the same time variants

Reptilian - Needs a partial overhaul. Face is good, but I want to make her look buff. Give her a six pack and shoulder muscles.

Bee - Princess version is fine, but the Queen needs to be more chubby. I want to make her a bit shorter too.

Parasite - Needs and complete overhaul. Just embrace the original concept and go full face hugger

Mushroom - I intentionally don't want every single species in the galaxy to be a bombshell hottie. Mushroom is the certified ugly character, but maybe they deserve a slight glowup

Horn - Old art that just needs a bit of polish. Face and chest looks good, but her lower half could use some love.
