It takes a while on my pc just the materials is almost 7GB

That's why I don't use Vtaw's stuff. I really like it, but the size is just stupid.

wardrobe 9 is no issue I have that installed all the swaps work great. But seems I will have to wait with 10 anyway as there are no FG bodyslides yet.

It seems like it is still in beta anyways, they probably won't do a conversion until it is released.

Seems that NGamma has Vtaw 10 (early beta) conversion for FG here, they do conversions for Fusion Girl & IKAROS Android (you just install the FG version):

Is it truly infinite, or is it patience?  For the "long" loading screens this mod fixes it for me:

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44798

These are the INI settings for that mod that I use, load screens are pretty zippy at the sacrifice of the animations and background images.

image.png.f84029efdd07332cde6d3aa6764e25e7.png

P sure its actually infinite. I went to sleep and woke up w it still on the black loading screen.

High fps patch is installed already but I'll peak at the ini.

I got the mod working its just some optionals/nice to haves causing some headache.

Using trial and error to narrow down the culprit.

The problem children:

Smokeable Cigars, Slavers-no bald slaves & whore house lighting, the tattoo mods: stuck in character creation bug.

Amputator: infinite? Black loading screen (slept on)

Random overlay framework, diamond city expansion: infinite? loading  screen (hasn't turned to black loading screen yet)

Can live without em, but would like DC expansion and amputator to work.

tattoos would be cool, but i dont care to much to try fixing.

The ones the leave me stuck at character creation im gunna try enabling after the character is made and hopefully they work.

I seem to be missing some textures and i can't for the life of me figure out what i messed up.

Some particles flying around the air esp. in the apartment as well as the catfood are just purple.

image.png.0442a2c7ea6adfcc98c190ba60de050a.png

Does anybody know whats missing or can give me some hints?

Everything else is working fine so worst case i could live with those few missing.

Ok that is suppose to be cat food. If you are using the latest modern replacer you will have a few of those. The pack is missing textures for the catfood also for cellphones. So until the mod author fixes it we are stuck with a few missing textures.

I'm sure I already set it to invisible state in the last update. Yes, they are assets for future quests.

Speaking of assets. I finally found a pretty decent pre-war male student uniform. It's from Resident Evil Resistance, so I deleted the “Raccoon” from the jacket.

I'm starting to put students in the new plaza and realized there weren't any men.

New install, new game, I just reached the Protectron at the Drumlin Diner and he tells me to get in the truck for my audition, but the truck is merged into another rusted car body and I can't find an interaction point anywhere on it.. Even with a bit of TCL flying around... Is there a quest setstage or something I can trigger to get this moving along?

The scripts aren't firing, otherwise you'd already be in Nuka World, probably because you have too many mods and an incorrect load order. This also explains why that rusty car I disabled is visible.

Fix your load order, give my mod more priority. Try not to play it with other script-intensive mods.

Oh no this is not your fault or the mod's fault. There is a replacer pack out there that modernize everything. Some of the things the textures are not working. For example the cellphone and that bag. They author must just fix the textures and it will be fine. Haven't been updating that in a while tho

Shoot, my bad... After diligently setting up the load order for all of AAF and its requirements, I finally downloaded Nuka Ride and promptly forgot to do anything with its place in the load order. It should be correct now. The only things lower in the order are facegens and vivid weather.

I modded the basics, which for me is some landscape stuff, weather, UI, see-through scopes, all the vtaw packs, lore friendly guns, Heather Casdin, Ivy, CHEF and SS2. I didn't add any quest mods this time because Nuka Ride was always gonna be the focus... Should I have left SS2 or the followers out? I'm guessing they're the most script-heavy, but I haven't fired up any settlements or met up with Heather or Ivy yet. I just went with Duke straight from the vault.

So that car body is gone now, but still nothing happens after Charon says to get in the truck, and there's still nothing interactive.

Yes. SS2 is a massively script heavy mod, and follower mods are pointless with NR or CS.  You also don't "need" weapon mods as there's like extremely little combat. But they really don't hurt anything. I keep mine active for those need to kill something occasions.

But, any mod that effects Nuka World or Diamond City (and surrounding area, including NPC's) should be disabled. <<--Very important that bit is!

I forgot to clarify this. That save is already ruined; my quests can't read the scripts, and that's already baked in the save. Start a new game, use SKK Fast Start, and you'll be in the pre-war bathroom outside the vault in less than two minutes.

Just got to Captain Larsen's little Poker night with Sophie on the Norita Route and I actually have the dialogue option of speaking about the outfit Larsen gives you despite declining it after he suggested his first little game to win the glasses. (I can talk about an outfit I don't actually own)

Also another thing:

If you and Sophie 'go for desert' after and have fun with them some of Sophie's scenes last longer than the player's, which seems to result in Nuka Ride failing to play scenes because Sophie is still in one. I could be wrong, but it seemed like it.

If you have weapon mods I would suggest mods that don't inject into the leveled lists. They usually do that right as you come outside vault 111 and does mess up both CS and NR starts

I have smokeable cigar, cigarettes and joints and have a beer - animated drinking mod installed. Doing a play through with nuke ride. When I do the quest for apollo. smokeable cigar, cigarettes and joints and have a beer - animated drinking mod stop working.

Edit:  NVM I went to a save before to retry quest again mods are still working now.

You're probably in Ghost mode. Ghosts can't use spells. And cigarettes use spells.

Solution: Pause the game, save, and reload the save. My mod has a special feature to detect and correct Ghost mode on save reloads.

Good point, all mine goes through a options screens after reaching level 5 I think. So it doesn't effect anything. Except for the bad guys having OP weapons. LOL

Which is overall a very handy feature to have.

Yes there is. Thanks for this feature - you no longer need to enter a command in the console. I had this function automatically triggered twice and didn't need to reboot (Norita couldn't take food - after the Ghost was triggered, everything was fine and she was able to eat). Respect!

So I just got 100 points in every level on the Norita route, and when I woke up it told me to see Dara. Now when I try to talk to her she just talks about making a confession, something about ryder and that I still have a way to go. And then.. nothing? If I ask her again she says the same thing. Nothing in the quest log, even the quest stage about telling Dara is completed. I think I am softlocked?

I use modern replacer aio it comes with an option to remove all injections from the mods it uses. It runs its own injection before even leaving the bathroom after creating a character. Any injections at that point don't interfere at all

Something is very wrong.

You defeated/talked to Ryder in the castle and won “Crush of Steel.”

Everyone talks to you outside the castle, and finally Dara, who mentions the confession.

The mod sends you to sleep at the Seven Bar, and then training begins. I guess you're here because you did Poker Night.

Has everything gone like this?

What stage do you get when you type

SQV _NR_Crops ?

So I'm not planning to just bee-line Nuka Ride. I still want to go out and do ordinary playthrough stuff. All these years later I'm still running into quests and locations I've never seen before. That's what I love about Bethesda games... Hell, I've only played the Far Harbor main quest one time... So I'll be treating Nuka Ride more like my new Main Quest, while still letting myself get totally side-tracked. To that end I do want more guns and followers. Is NR pointless because it has its own followers, or because there's so little combat? (And I'm not sure what CS is?)

[EDIT]

Forgot to ask; Rather than adding a fast start or alternate start mod, is using an unmodded vanilla clean save from just before the Vault 111 elevator acceptable? I make a new one of those every time I install the game, and that's how I started this (now broken) playthrough.

I wasn't saying NR is pointless, followers are because they can muck things up in ways you never though possible. Weapons, are fine, but are not really needed at all for NR. When you do need a weapon, NR gives you one. And only twice?, is there real combat, other than killing a molerat or shooting a pervert in the chest.

For your first time, I'd recommend Only playing NR. Then, you'll know, or at least have a pretty good idea of what you can do and who you can kill. Otherwise, you're going to kill someone or do something that causes NR to break.

A clean vanilla save is fine. Personally, I like to speed run the prewar. :P

Oh, CS is JB's other polar opposite mod Commonwealth Slavers

Dark as hell, but brutally fun.

BTW, I too like to "wonder off" once in a while to scratch that trigger finger a bit. Just gotta be careful. ;)
