Sofar, pretty interesting!  

 

Wolves are still frozen.  I did install the latest FNIS.  Beats me.   :blink:

 

The first giant spider I fought - transformed into a smaller spider, misaligned rape, then disappeared.  Reloaded from before the fight, and he spawned as a smaller spider.  May wanna check that pre-scripted fight.  *shrug*  

 

People and the draugr seem to work fine at first glance.   B)   Thanks for kicking ass, Ashal!  Skyrim is a much sexier place again thanks to you!

People having rotated actor issues with some animations: 

 

rotationhotfix.zip

 

Try the above patch file. You need to have v1.23 installed already, just overwrite/merge the patch file on top of that, it should overwrite two files.

 

I have absolutely no rotation issues on any animations, before or after v1.23, so I can't really see if it fixes the issue or not myself, so let me know your results from this patch file asap.

I still had a bad rotation. Tried 3x still skewed each time.

I did not run FNIS just for the hotfix, I assume it would not help?

 

Post a screenshot of what you mean by skewed, and a debug log (debug log instructions: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=31562721&postcount=2)

 

And try pressing realign actors once or twice and see if that fixes it, if not try rotate actors a couple times and see if that fixes it.

People having rotated actor issues with some animations:

Try the above patch file. You need to have v1.23 installed already, just overwrite/merge the patch file on top of that, it should overwrite two files.

 

I have absolutely no rotation issues on any animations, before or after v1.23, so I can't really see if it fixes the issue or not myself, so let me know your results from this patch file asap.

 

It did not correct the problem for me.  I started a new game with the v1.23 code installed and this patch installed over the top through NMM.  The rotation seems to be 90 degrees off rather than 180 degrees as it was before this patch. I have not issolated which scripts cause the issue, I can install 1.23 with the esm and scripts from 1.21 and it works correctly.

 

Added: Companion scenes are not rotated, the NPC that is with my character is.  I do not know if this observation helps, but it appears to be consistant thus far.

It will however also bring back "graphical flickering" that happened whenever changing stage or animation in SexLab v1.20-v1.22. The flickering now however is limited, it should only happen now when switching from an AP animation to a non AP animation (aka from an animation with a rotation offset to one without) and when using the Rotate Scene hotkey (U) which should now also properly rotate all actors as well.

Technical Details You Probably Don't Care About™

 

Note that I'm specifically referring to the graphical flickering issue that is brought back in a minor way by this hotfix, NOT the "jittering" issue people had with 1.22 and was fixed by 1.23.

 

SexLab 1.23 removed all SetPosition() and SetAngle() calls on the actor to warp them into position; as they resulted in the graphical flickering. Instead of the warping, 1.23 literally slides them into position very quickly, using TranslateTo(). This seems to work great on the ground, on beds however it seems to be unable to get slide the actors into the right rotation.

 

Why this is is a damned mystery as far as I'm concerned, SexLab does nothing with the bed itself, positioning is all worked off coordinates and not the objects themselves, so there should be no difference between scenes on a comfy bed and scenes on the floor of a cave as far as positioning. Though if I had a guess it could just be that proximity to the bed (and other such objects) would mess with the translation process due to collision boxes.

 

In any case, the fix: SexLab will now check the expected rotation, and the actors current rotation, if they don't match up then it will force their rotation using SetAngle(), resulting in the return of the graphical flickering. This time however; since SexLab checks if they even need to be rotated first, the short flickering caused by SetAngle() should be an uncommon and very minor annoyance that I'd argue is more than worth the trade off.

SexLab v1.24 has been released.
