should i update(midgame) then or no? the front page says 5.5 was the stable one so that's what I went with. how is the version in 7 coming along for stability?

 

i seem to be having other issues with 5.5 though too.

7.4 is rather stable in terms of the DOM plugin, scripts are always easy to upgrade. But you need to move slaves to PAH and purge DOM from the save with resaver before upgrading.

  • would have found "order wheel -> Follow me->(option)" more intuitive.

makes me wonder what other options are tucked away.

Hola TAK, maybe I have a new bug to report here, I hope someone else can confirm if this has also happened to them. It happens that I have now had problems enslaving certain unique NPCs that I have always enslaved in the past using your mod, such as Eola of Markarth and Alva of Morthal. Something these unique NPCs have in common is that they are enemies that I usually end up killing for their enslavement, although it also doesn't work if I try to enslave them while they are alive. Either using the different enslavement methods that your mod has: defeat, spells, necro-spells, enslaving weapons. The process starts normally but the messages announcing the new slave never appear. What's more, they show dialogs as if they were active followers (they aren't) and if I try to enslave them again I get a message that says "you cannot abduct followers"

Yes, that is also happening to me. In about 3 previous versions this was never a problem.

Yes, that is also happening to me. In about 3 previous versions this was never a problem.

I will check these particular NPCs. But it looks like a follower framework interference. Which one are you using?

 

The naked actors bug is because Skyrim forces them to reequip their default outfit, which is empty. How unfortunate Skyrim is trying to make sure they wear clothes at all time and ends up forcing them to be naked. 

 

I will devise a work around soon.

 

EDIT: It's working now.  It was just the forbid re-equip/un-equip flag might create CTD when applied on weapons or hand held items. Now it's back for armors only.

DOM 7.4.2 is out - Still beta since AYGAS and HSH interfaces are not functional yet. Sleeping NPCs can not be enslaved (known bug).

What's new in 7.4.2:

  • Add gag, plugs, blindfold and cuffs in Tieup wheel menu.

  • Remove gag, blindfold and cuffs at untie can be turned on/off in MCM abuse tab.

  • Dead actors being enslaved will get the undead keyword and faction. Meaning necromancers and undead (except vampires) will not be aggressive towards them.

  • The Necromancer's Oath book has been added to Fellglow Keep. Reading this book will add the player to necromancer and draugr factions. Meaning you can now kindly ask draugr and necromancers to rape your slaves.

  • Once you're a Necromancer, the only way out is to pray for the Great Console of Skyrim to remove the player from these two factions.

  • Witnesses are checked twice during abduction, at start and at end. Both checks can be disabled separetly in MCM capture tab.

  • Friends check happens once per day and/or only in the player cell at location change. These can be turned off in MCM option tab.

  • Actors redressing with nothing at location change or cell load should happen less often or disappear completely. You might have to force them to equip inventory for the update to take effect. After some time you should be able to turn off the reequip toggles at location change and cell load in MCM.

  • Right notification widgets should take into account the correct width at startup.

Does this count to Necromancer Spelled NPCs? (Raise Zombie, Reanimate Corpse, Dread Zombie, Dead Thrall etc)

 

I kept forgetting to mention, at least prior to 7.4.0, that I could enslave a dead NPC if I raised them then captured them without the Dead Soul Necromancy perk.

I had mixed feelings if this should be added to the perk, if it should be its own perk, or left alone

The new necromancer features look super fun!  Especially because, to my knowledge, there aren't really any mods that let you use your undead thralls for sex.  I know this may not technically be that, but enslaving dead actors is basically the same thing 😃

I forgot to say that it is untested for now. Also do not expect your enslaved dead souls to turn into Draugr 😶‍🌫️ but their personality will use the undead malus/bonus. 

 

I should head to Fellglow Keep soon.

Player's undead are treated differently. They are not aggressive to the player and are probably not in the Draugr Ally faction.

 

I do think raise + enslave is another legitimate way to handle it, it depends on your RP. Forbidding enslavement of player's raised undead would be a bit too much.

I did enslave Rinrida from the Yuriana mod previously (she's a vampire but I didn't know she had an undead tag) before this update and she needed the undead option on (which I didn't have on at the time) and it worked fine, I wonder how much this update will impact it

I am not sure vampires have an undead tag in Skyrim. They are not dead per se.

Hi TAK, I've been testing out the new additions in the update. First, I should point out that the new Bound animations are working well so far.

I've also tried something new with the undead, I've enslaved a draugr and made him have sex with a slave. Well everything seems fine so far, I'll be keeping an eye on how this develops.

about the new version, I just now found out you need Devious Devices NG's meshes folder for the new bound behind the back animations

  • Are the plugs/blindfold purely cosmetic or does it effect the slave's mind?
  • Given how rarely abduction happen, how about using a cloak on the slave to create the witness poll, pull witnesses for LOS every 10 seconds, and dispel the cloak at the end.

This is a choice made by the FM authors to not track spawned actors, nothing to do with DOM version. I will make a patch when I can, it's in my to-do list.

ahh ok, thanks, I was trying to think if it work before that version or not and I don't remember, I seem to think this started after I installed the fixes and updates

looks like tripping is back (or it never left but now I'm seeing it for the first time) it does break whichever bound animation you were using though (e.g: cuffs front, she gets up after falling and walks normally with hands to the side)

I believe the DD NG animations don't break from tripping. Please confirm. 

 

Maybe I'll have to not allow tripping for hands in the front and crossed.

 

Also the cuffed animations should restart automatically once OAR catches up.
