When Interacting with NPCs, we already have the ability to increase durability/repair devices on each others.

I'd love to see the possibility to reengage opened locks, via menu or even with a modifier.

What about tasking your follower with keeping your devices in good shape periodically?

I think I am having the same issue, the problem isn't that the gag can be removed. It's that the mod runs a script to remove all devices, but for some reason it fails to remove this gag. Not clear to me if this is an issue caused by the patch or if it's a bug that exists in LBS. I think I was able to remove the gag using the UD debug menu.

You misunderstand ? The only issue i have is that Laura's mod was not removing them from me. But for that i could just go into MCM debug and remove it from there.

 

It's just that i don't see why they would need to be patched to UD. Normal DD and UD devices should be working fine together, and you cannot have quest devices have any weird modifiers like timed, MAO, MAH, Cheap Locks or even such cuffs tying arms or legs together because even that can potentially break quest flow. But Cheap Locks is especially harmful for quest scripts removing devices.

The devices from LBS can't have modifiers (or should not at least, if I didn't do something wrong while implementing the feature).Any device which will have specific Patch_NoMod keyword will not gain any modifiers. And all devices from LBS should have this keyword. Did you get any modifiers on LBS devices ? Maybe I forget to add it to new devices when I was updating patch to last version of LBS

Right, LBS gag has that keyword and i also checked that script should be using it right and the correct keyword is registered in UD main quest. I wonder about UD_Patcher GenerateLocks() ? At least about timelock. Can they start jammed or be jammed by a modifier in a different device? At least i don't think they can from what i'm seeing.

Small bug report for the beta. I get the message "Upgrading Unforgiving Devices..." every time the game has loaded (either a quickload or entering a new arena). And for some reason, the orgasm mechanic... flatout doesn't work.

UD is delicate mod about its scripts. Have you upgraded or changed Devious Devices installation on your save and does it work in a new game?

 

Also the 2.1 beta is possibly better version right now.

Yes. I know about the beta. That for what I was reporting bugs for (the 2.0 version worked fine).

 

This was on an existing save, but right after character creation with the latest Devious Devices RC. On AE.

That's strange then, check your UD and DD for script conflicts. At least MO2 can highlight those easily. You could be having some sort of old patches there.

Can't find that string (Upgrading Unforgiving Devices) or part of it in scripts.

 

There is a "Updating Unforgiving Devices, please wait..." string but it should be displayed every game load but not cell load. So I'm truly confused.

 

As for the Orgasm mechanic. Maybe I'll ask a foolish question, but how exactly does it not work: no widget, no increase in the bar on the widget, no final or no animation?

Having played with it again, it does end with "Unforgiving Devices Updated (or Upgraded, I forgot which one)" but, yeah. It does it at every cell load. Something to do with the Devious Devices RC? (Should try again when DDSE 5.2 is up).

 

And yes, no anything. The vibrations do happen, but the bars never increases, and thus, no animation.

It depends on the vibrations too, it is normal that sometimes bar won't move because its effect is lower than your resistance to it. You would have more certain luck with grand soul gem ones. I'm assuming you haven't increased the resistance in MCM from default, it should be somewhere 1.5 to 2.0. It's a combination of 2 plugs and 2 piercings that really get it to move fast.

There was one bug in beta 1 which was basically breaking the Orgasm system in certain scenarios (now always, but once it breaks, it can't be fixed). I think that is the source of the problem. It is now fixed on last in-dev version.

That should be unrelated to DD. I think that instead you might have some dll bug fix mod which force game reload event to be send on every cell switch. Otherwise, I have no idea how is that possible. Try to search up quest UD_CustomDevice_Quest in console, and see its variables with sqv. And check the alias Player. It should point to 00000014. If not, then there is some strange issue with the player alias which is used for calling the function which shows the above message.

Just checked the Quest and I got these results.

Enabled? : Yes

State : Running

Current Stage : 0

Priority : 80

 

And I just remembered that I recently installed Sexlab p+. I should try again with a new game.

 

Edit: Tried a new game and now, Devious Devices would not initialize at all (or Cursed Loot, for that matter). I think I'm going to wait for the final 5.2 release for SE.

Got some bugs for the beta 1 (don't know if they've already been corrected since there's no other downloadable builds).

 

- Lockpicking sometimes just stops working. I hit the button but the lockpicking interface never appears and the minigame goes on. I'm still not sure what triggers it. Thankfully, unlocking with a key works just fine (even if it's a pain to find them) and it only happens on one device at a time.

 

- Seems to only try to detect the LE version of iWidget and not SE, even on SE

 

- And after the new game, Unforgiving Devices still updates at every cell load, for some reason.

Do you have the 4 Creation Club's AE content? I noticed that after installing the downgrade patch with "best of both", the iWidget is acting badly and even my "Remove enemies from compass" stopped working. It would seem CC is adding some SWF file or something. Even Realistic Needs and Diseases widgets are affected, it's just locked in top left corner and no matter what i do i can't scale, move or hide it.

Damn, @iivanvv, you're one of the MVPs here! The animations are GOLDEN! I absolutely enjoyed all of them, and was pleasantly surprised by paired animation when both targets are restrained!

Not sure how to fix this one. Nothing happens when pressing E and i'm wearing 2 gags atm... Other one is only rendered but it still appears in the list of struggle items. I can't start a minigame to end the minigame and i don't see a way in the MCM.

I'll make a manual save for future curiosity and try go back many earlier autosaves.

Check worn devices in the console, remove unnecessary items, run Fix command from UD Debug menu.

I went back and tried, i think it was the "General fixes" that ultimately solved it by restoring the minigame doable. Unregistered black gag so it disappeared from the list where now only remained red gag, the black one was still visible on player and i had stored the black one inventory item to some container before so it wasn't in the inventory. After i struggled out of red gag it restored black one to inventory and unlocked red gag too. So yeah that would work.

 

What i tried when posting earlier was the debug menu and unlock on the black gag, it wasn't working.

Just a little heads up. I've encountered a few bugs in Laura's Bondage Shop and I suspect your patch may have something to do with it.

 

Most of the bugs I've encountered are

- Items not unequipping when they should (and thus, I had to use the Debug menu)

- Items that should've been removed from my inventory stayed.

 

I was also using the beta, so maybe this is a factor?

There have been some corrections to that on the github but new version that includes them hasn't been pushed out yet.
