First off, well done to the mod maker.

This is possibly one of the best adult-oriented mod I've experienced in TES:Skyrim so far.

The prison sentence in Vanilla Skyrim is always the weakest point in the game - there's barely any reason to NOT pay the bounty.

Even if you don't have enough gold to pay off the guards - the sentence itself is painless - you lose a few skills after a time skip - why would you even contemplate escape? There's no terrible fate awaiting you in the prison.

 

Your mod certainly makes prison stay a more nasty proposition. However, I can't help but think your mod makes deviant players WANT to get into prison. Oh, of all the hilarious contradiction it creates! :D

 

It gladdens me to hear you didn't consider it 'finished' because there's so much potential in this. I wish I have modding skills to add more to this but all I have are ideas in my head.

 

Hope it won't trouble you to read a few lines and maybe consider it.

 

1. In-jail interaction

I'm sure someone mentioned this before, but the lack of interaction with other inmates/guards while awaiting daytime is odd. I don't know if you're planning to add something in - but how about trading 'services'/gold to guards for an extra lockpick?

 

Or maybe, add a nightly arena fight - you can stay out of it if you wish or fight in there for gold - to buy picks / bribe guards to lessen your time on stockade. Losing has consequences too, I guess. Suggestion: Maybe teleport the player to the arena to avoid another lengthy WALK with guard sequence (we all like it the first time but after that - kinda boring)

 

2. Escape

I consider escape isn't THAT difficult if the above suggestion is implemented (more lockpicks = easier escape) - but what if you increase the difficulty - not in terms of how hard they hit, but how easily they disable you? Slowing poison, stamina drains. Would be great.

 

3. Companions

Any chance of seeing your companion in prison too? I notice there's TWO stockades in town.

 

4. NPC prisoner

Speaking of TWO stockades, would it be possible to have a NPC prisoner being punished publicly in most towns? So I don't have to do bad shit to witness it you know, and maybe get to be the guy who bribe the guard 20 gold to have some fun with the prisoner. ;)

Hi, great mod, for those having problems in Solitude with gaurd bringing you to wrong cell, I had the same problem. Did a clean save completely deleted old  version before upgrading to new version and still had the same problem. When I started a new game the problem in Solitude went away and I was brought to the proper cell. So regardless of  using a clean save something is carrying over from the old version.

Happened to me as well. Assassin character that happened to escape the cell through the crumbling wall. The jailer was pathing and trying to walk through the locked door so I think xpo is operating okay. I think what happens is that the marker is moved, triggered by the escape, to a new location.

 

Weird.... I'll see what I can do to find the problem.

 

 

That does remind me... I can tell where that is ... Namely Solitude and I had a similar but in Solitude as well... One time I also got moved to the wrong jail... However... The guard says nothing, does NOTHING and just sticks there... It's not the mistake of the system as that works fine... It's a mistake in the pathing...

 

Sometimes a guard gets stuck by something just as lousy... Try to push the jailer or the TC command to toggle control and move the jailer... Eventually it finds the right path again...

I do like the 4th part just as much as you :P I would love to see you getting the ability to torture some prisoners too... Ofcourse this requires that some people do crimes too... So you can see crimes happen and occassionally a bandit... Ofcourse to expand on this I would love to see the possible chance of you arresting someone... (If you are a Thane for example or you wear the clothes of a guard or a necklace allowing you to play for guard)

 

Also companions getting arrested should be possible... I'm yet to see a mod however that actually allows you to let your companions get jailed... Like if you order a companion to steal something (possible) or your companion hit a guard for example and you get the choice what to do with the companion... (drag em to jail, buy them out... ofcourse with consequences to the relation ... ) Ofcourse you must also get the option to either take over their sentence or to lighten their sentence by taking part in it ... (requires dynamic timers for punishment times)

 

Also about your escape that is to easy already but I would love to see functional dungeons in the vanilla... 

Xaz that reminds me... You said low on space for dungeons... Did you EVER think about adding a simple stairs where it does not interupt anything with a door leading to a torture room ??? You can use the torture room multiple times or dress it differently with similar ones... Make for example one huge room and divide them in cells similar to something like this

Where 1 block is solitude and another whiterun and so on... Put a simple door on a location and you got your torture room :D

 

Ofcourse I'm in for a seeing of executions and so on...

 

Now however this brings me to a question... I have NOT been a full Vampire yet... But if I see the Vampire system they are WEAK to the sun... It should be possible to get executions of Vampires done by giving them a hood, lead them to a place at the morning early when still dark and chain them up for execution when the sun comes up :P and remove the hood... Eventually a Vampire should start burning :P Would be cool to see that also...

 

Then again I'm making a huge crime system out of your mod there...

Maybe we should rename PO to CO ? Crime Overhaul ? LOL

Well, you see... if you ever get jailed in Whiterun, the cell you're in has a Novice lock grate in it.

That's kinda funny cause you can easily pick it open with a little trial and error. 

If you want to be legit, Sign of the Tower is auto success on Expert and below.

I escaped that way, failed to retrieve my gear (pick broke) and decided to get jailed again to try and get my stuff again.

Well, guess what - they tossed me back to the same cell with the grate still open - AND a lockpick. That's... a little too absurd for my taste.

I'm starting up a suggestion list so I'll write them down there. In time I'll make it publicly available.

 

As you guessed, the reason for the two pillories in every town is so that npcs or your companion will also fit within the system. I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet ... :(

Well, you see... if you ever get jailed in Whiterun, the cell you're in has a Novice lock grate in it.

I'm a bit wary about connecting cells between the major cities. Maybe something could break.... but I could just copy one cell, then tweak it to make each torture room unique.

 

Crime Overhaul ... weeeell, I mean, my goal is to prevent crime in Skyrim by making the experience unpleasant.... :(

In terms ... I said connecting them in a big room for easy overview but seperate cells work just as well... I was thinking of avoiding cluttering of multiple cells like crazy :P Not really needed to put one room but it would maybe be easier for the creation of it :P

 

But yeah that's the idea. 1 door goes to a different torture room... Wether they are side by side or not is your decision in that matter and not mine but it was one way of solving things... However I don't see a way it could break connection between cities as the doors are just going to another door in a different cell in torture rooms... 

 

The unpleasant part :P Well some things are pleasurable :P The only part that isn't pleasant is the same thing all over again :P Crime overhaul in a way of adjusting the entire crime system to be a system ... Currently the Vanilla is just meh... Hey look I did wrong thing I go to prison ah bed time hey look I'm punished... Doesn't sound like a punishment to me... Might as well kill an entire bunch of guards and come out on top... Eventually you can do that LOL... (also getting some custom items make things easier too... DO NOT USE Schwertleite set cause it makes things so goddamn easy... :P Light Armor, heavy parameters and SEXY like hell :D but so OP ... Planting a sword in a troll at level 2 without dying ...) 

 

Want to make crime unpleasant :P Let's do this medieval style... Punishment of dead should waver around :D

A little heads up - I was using v201 of this mod along with SkyRe, and when I ran Reproccer it threw a "java.lang.NullPointerException". When I uninstalled Prison Overhaul, the SkyProc ran successfully.

I think there was a post about this a few pages back, including a solution if you want to run Reproccer (whatever that is) and PO together. Not sure which page or exactly how many, but probably less than 10 ...

A little heads up - I was using v201 of this mod along with SkyRe, and when I ran Reproccer it threw a "java.lang.NullPointerException". When I uninstalled Prison Overhaul, the SkyProc ran successfully.

A note, just for the record:

 

This mod always gives me a java.lang.nullpointerexception error while running the ReProccer. If you run into this issue, just add a new line

xazPrisonOverhaul.esp

to \Data\SkyProc Patchers\T3nd0_ReProccer\Files\BlockList.txt

 

Maybe add that to the OP?

First, thank you for this mod! It is amazing. Besides the cool kinkiness, it makes playing a thief so much more fun.

 

Second, it took me days to make it work (solely because of my moding noobness). I tried everything (1) and nothing worked. I would choose “submit, go to jail” and the guard would tell me that I am going to rot and then do nothing. The last thing I tried was creating a new character, and this worked. In the MCM debug list I get two “falses” (main & prisoner) with any file, except a new character.

 

Third, with a new character the bondage animation isn’t working, and I simply stand there. I haven’t downloaded a skeleton replacer, could this be the problem? I also get the following error message in FNIS:  “ERROR(2001): Wrong line in Animation List. Line262(..\..\meshes\actors\character\animations\ZaZAnimationPack\FNIS\ZaZAnimationPack_List.text):fuZazWoodenHorse01ZazApcaO024.hkx. ZazAPCAO024.hkx ZazFurnitureExit.hkx

 

Again, thank you for this epic mod, and let me apologizes ahead of time for modding incompetence.

* Latest versions of ZAP, SkyUI, Fores New Idles installed

Having a problem for some reason game locks up went the jailer has sex with the pc it happen couple time I had to force close skyrim went I'm in the stocks in whiterun also the jailer get stuck behind the pc.

 

Question how do you end up on the piller my pc end up in the stocks

I do like the 4th part just as much as you :P I would love to see you getting the ability to torture some prisoners too... Ofcourse this requires that some people do crimes too... So you can see crimes happen and occassionally a bandit... Ofcourse to expand on this I would love to see the possible chance of you arresting someone... (If you are a Thane for example or you wear the clothes of a guard or a necklace allowing you to play for guard)

After playing a bit with the LoversLab Submit Mod, there is an option to turn in a criminal who submitted to a guard for a bounty. If that's a bit far-fetched, maybe a simple random NPC quest given by the Jailer?

 

e.g:

1. Walk up to Jailer, ask for any work.

2. Create a random 'troublemaker' in city to arrest.

3. Player finds designated NPC, brawl ensues (so no accidental kill?)

4. If player wins, turn in NPC - Jail sentence starts.

5. If player loses, quest failed, renegade NPC makes fast exit - de-spawns.

 

Also companions getting arrested should be possible... I'm yet to see a mod however that actually allows you to let your companions get jailed... Like if you order a companion to steal something (possible) or your companion hit a guard for example and you get the choice what to do with the companion... (drag em to jail, buy them out... ofcourse with consequences to the relation ... ) Ofcourse you must also get the option to either take over their sentence or to lighten their sentence by taking part in it ... (requires dynamic timers for punishment times)

The issue I can see with this is that you will never ever be free of the bounty due to the built-in Bounty system. You can't tell Lydia to kill a man and not have it tied to you. Both of you share the bounty - it's a game limitation. Unless there's a mod to Persuade NPC to slay another or steal something for you - it COULD work, maybe? I saw a random NPC stealing an apple in Oblivion before without being ordered to, but he got killed on the spot. Quite funny. His life is worth less than an apple in the guard's eyes.

 

Possible implementation:

1. Player uses Speechcraft on NPC in dialogue - Bribe option is available to pass skill check.

2. If successful - cursor pops - you point at what you want. If it's a person, it's a kill order. If it's an item, it's a steal.

3. Guard is alerted - beat down ensues. Possibly add a 50% HP threshold for the NPC to surrender. Player CAN beat him down too and turn him in yourself. (LOL, talk about being a complete asshole)

4. Jail ensues.

I've just tested this for the first time, I think I will report it here whether bug or not. Sr for my English.

 

When I took a crime in Riften, guard appeared and arrested me but he got stucked in prison gate in very long time, however we got inside but that bastard stucked again at the door that I had to "disable" that door for him to continue walking. Finally we stood front of open cell, I walked in and get attacked by a skeever, they killed it but my character auto ran far away and never came back, uncontrollable. :(

First, thank you for this mod! It is amazing. Besides the cool kinkiness, it makes playing a thief so much more fun.

 

Second, it took me days to make it work (solely because of my moding noobness). I tried everything (1) and nothing worked. I would choose “submit, go to jail” and the guard would tell me that I am going to rot and then do nothing. The last thing I tried was creating a new character, and this worked. In the MCM debug list I get two “falses” (main & prisoner) with any file, except a new character.

 

Third, with a new character the bondage animation isn’t working, and I simply stand there. I haven’t downloaded a skeleton replacer, could this be the problem? I also get the following error message in FNIS:  “ERROR(2001): Wrong line in Animation List. Line262(..\..\meshes\actors\character\animations\ZaZAnimationPack\FNIS\ZaZAnimationPack_List.text):fuZazWoodenHorse01ZazApcaO024.hkx. ZazAPCAO024.hkx ZazFurnitureExit.hkx

* Have tried a clean save

* Have tried to search for any competing mod

People repeat same questions over and over and it's running into the FNIS Beta... Seriously... Put it in letters as big as a cow ... Cause seriously they fail to read ...

Players are getting bounty but there are random crimes occuring not dealing with half the issue ... So it should be possible to get bounty system rewritten somehow...

Yes it will be great, if you and jbezorg, work together for a great mod that combinated elements of your mods

In truth ... This mod compared with SD type and slavery mods might make a huge combination... However I still think all parts should standalone as well

Hi, no i haven't Fuz and I disabled dialogues. I guess too that it was the problem, but I tried again and didn't worked anyway.

Whiterun or different city ??? Whiterun has a patrolling guard that can be seen as annoying now and then... Same for Solitude... They might bug the pathing of the jailer... Nothing a simple TC cannot solve ...

The problem seems to be in Solitude. I tried the same thing in Whiterun and seems to works fine.
