@ tov01 - If I remember correctly this is not meant to work in Markarth because of the vanilla quest.

 

It shouldn't override No One Escapes Cidhna Mine, but it does. This is a bug that needs fixing.

 

How do you know? I don't mean that as a challenge but rather, how did you determine that this is the case? Did you run PO only, was the problem apparent after installing PO but not before, or did you examine the files in PO to determine this is the case? (Or something completely different ofc)

 

I looked at PO in tes5, and I can't find anything to disrupt Cidhna. Also, I did end up in Cidhna myself a few version ago, and everything seemed ok in there. Things may have changed since, ofc, but I can't think of anything I did that would change things.

 

Anyway, just asking, because it really would help me nail down where the problem is ....

@ignazflam I've looked at frostfall and RND before, but I am only running all this on an i3 with a single GTX 660! So I am forced to budget what script intensive mods I run. Plus being a dedicated Skyrim Nudist seriously makes frostfall ridiculously difficult! For some reason my necklace and rings just dont seem to keep me very warm...

ye, but I have other issue with frostfall. When my toon is naked he/she has 150 exposure protection and I'm not sure why. Anyone got clue why?

 

You're wearing a collar which is equipped with frost resistance. So you won't freeze to death when you're naked outdoors....

Prison Overhaul works with SL 1.50 and SL 1.54. If you have another version, you're using PO at your own risk.

 

Never upgrade SL unless you require some feature in the new version. Ashal breaks things frequently and modders can't keep up, so you're unlikely to stay compatible.

Pls HElp ME! I cant continue playing this mod! The first time I commit a crime (petty/minor/mojor). Everything works fine! But after that whenever I commit any crime, for the second tiime, The guard arrests me and just stands there. HE doesn't escort me to prison, He doesn't move. I just stand their bound/gagged not knowing what to do. I have tried all te solutions I could find in this thread already. nothing works! Only reseting the mod through mcm works! but everytime I plan to get caught I cant possibly do that!!

 

I have sexlab version 1.55 (couldn't find any earlier in this site), A message shows it is incompatible with po. Is the problem occuring because of the sexlab version? If so, then where can I get the earlier one?

 

PLEASE help me! I love this mod and want to use this very much!

The SL warning message shouldn't affect this mod. There is a reset function in the mod that you can try to see if that allows you to get arrested again.

 

 

yes, the reset function works. But reseting everytime after completing a sentence is becoming kinda annoying.... but I AM doin it becoz your mod is absolutely awesome!

 

I only hope you address this issue that many of us are having in the next update!

I'll look at this. Maybe it's just something I forgot to restore that's fixed by resetting the mod.

This is definetly one of my favorite mods. I like to play rogue characters, but vanilla crime system is simply annoying. Loosing your xp over playing the thief questline as a thief was a really bad planning from Bethesda. PO gave me - and I am sure many others as well - a joy of actually playing our thiefs as thiefs, instead of reloading after each failure.

 

 

I was disappointed that they dumbed down their crime & punishment mechanic for Skyrim.  You've lost skill points in prison since TES:Arena, now you just lose the experience to the next skill point which isn't much of a punishment.   I'd like to see the loss of skill points make a return to make prison time an actual punishment for bad thieves & assassins.

just wondering when this mod will be updated to sl 157? I get warning when I load my game. it worked for a little will now I get locked up but no animations happen', cool mod but waiting for update.

new game, in rifton the x cross instead pillary is really great, i love it.

 

inside the cell there is a xcross too, but unused. maybe you activate this in your next update ?

One of the things I'll do is "uncozify" the prisons in Skyrim. They're way too friendly. Lots of food laying about, a bunch of lockpicks, a nice bed, and so on.

 

Having various torture devices in the cell is at least a step in the right direction, imo.

Love the mod.  I haven't really tried xpo with SL 157 yet, so I can't say whether it works for me or not.  Looking forward to more from you (it will be one of my great high-lights of the day).

Prison Overhaul does not override No One Escapes Cidhna Mine... in fact it does not override the basic Markarth prison system at all. I just tested the quest and basic prison behavior both with the mod active and with my STEP Core profile and they were identical in experience. So what override are you experiencing? Because it's not from this mod. Post your load order under a spoiler tag if you want help determining the conflict.

I have a problem where the whipping scenes works fine but the other animations are not working, the guards just get near the player for a couple of seconds and then they just leave like if the scene had been  completed, this happens in both the cell and the pillory, besides of that, the mod works alright.

 

I have the zaz animation pack and other mod uses these animations properly

 

Any help to know what Im doing wrong and how to make it work?

Did you go under the Sexlab tab under Zaz Animations and click the "Register with Sexlab" option? On the righthand side under Sexlab Animation all of the animations should say YES beside them.

Yes, the animations were with "No" beside them, but I registered them, and the animations are still not working with the animations registered in the sexlab animations, Im still having the same problem

I have a problem :/

 

this is a awesome mod, sadly it seems that a problem, which makes guards attack me after ive been arrested for major crimes, and because i cant sheate my weapons they can kill me easily :/ it seems like that they haven't registered that i've been arrested because the second before attack me they ask "you have commited crimes against" and then they aggro on me. this is very frustrating because it ruins the whole mod :/. when i fast forward they just attack me and the jailer inside the jail!

 

pleas help so i can get back to playing this awesome mod :)

Is your bounty really high? If so, you'll have to run away and wait for two days for the aggression to subside so they'll accept your surrender. That's vanilla guard behavior. This mod only alters what happens after you submit to the guards, it doesn't change how they react to bounties AFAIK. But yeah, sometimes the guard closest to you will be asking for your surrender while the rest beat on you... that's vanilla behavior. If exiting out of the dialogue and then resheathing your weapon doesn't work, you'll have to run from the city and wait for two days before coming back for them to not attack you.

 yes but the problem is that i submit and then they attack me, meaning i cant really run away because prison overhaul forces me back to the guard who arrested me :/

Hmm, try resetting everything?

1) Redo your FNIS patch

2) If you've changed any mods activated or their order, rebuild your bashed patch (won't hurt to rebuild it anyway)

3) Log in to the game, go under the Troubleshooting section of Sexlab Framework and if you haven't exported your settings before, do so now. Then save your game as instructed to finalize the export. Now run the Rebuild and Clean function.

4) Wait until the popup comes up saying it's finished and you're good to go.

5) Wait about a RL minute and then save your game in a new spot (no autosave... best to not use autosaves at all, use http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34842. I turn off all game autosaves and just use the timed incremental save and the manual saves and leave all the autosave stuff in the tool off... less chance of a save happening mid-script and messing something up.

6) Exit the game and use the Savegame Cleaner tool to remove any orphaned scripts. Run both automated cleaning functions (Scripts and script instances). Save and go ahead and have it create a backup. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/?

7) Load your cleaned savegame and wait a good 30 seconds or more then go back in and re-register the Zaz animations, go back into Sexlab Framework and go back to the Troubleshooting section and import your settings that you exported before.

8) Save your game so you don't have to worry about a crash making you redo everything and then find a safe spot to wait... wait for at least two days.

9) Travel back to town and try submitting again. If you're still experiencing the same bug of the guards going apeshit on you after you start getting led to prison then it might be a conflict. Post your load order under a Spoiler tag.

 

If you have Mod Organizer, you might try creating a new profile and activating only the official ESPs, the unofficial patches, sexlab and it's requirements (FNIS and it's requirements, your skeleton, etc) zaz animations, and prison overhaul... you can use a mob like Live Another Life or Skyrim Unbound to quickstart a new game... then get to a city as quick as you can (coc Whiterun under the console perhaps) and then create an archive save. Next, commit a crime. Pick a guard's pocket or steal an apple or something. Submit and see if you still experience the bug. If so, it is legitimately from the mod and the why it's happening will need to be determined. It it doesn't happen, then there's a conflict somewhere in your mods. You can start adding mods back and reloading your archive save and seeing when the bug starts up again to figure out where the conflict is coming from... it'll take a while, especially if you have a lot of mods. You can safely rule out things like body mods and item mods... unless the item mod has some sort of effect like a damage shield (which could explain why the guards are going hostile if they're perceiving you as attacking.) Look to any mod that affects guards, adds npcs, or modifies combat behavior first.

oh wow thank you, i have found out to things while testing and it seems like the guard thinks that i have a Bounty on my head for 0 gold, and this bug only happens when there is multiple guards after me.

Hmm try sleeping somewhere (in the city if possible) and see if the option of "Maybe I should just serve my time?" pops up. If so, accept and it should clear the bounty. I think this is a vanilla bug... but I'm not positive. But if you get the vanilla prison service message, sleeping should clear the bounty successfully.

ok i did everything and the bug is still there :/ i tried making a new save... it Works but this would be the second time a would have to delete a level 20+ cheracter :/ i really hope there is some way to fix this...

Some things I noticed:

1) You don't seem to have Dawnguard or Dragonborn esms active, but you have an SDpatch for both dawnguard and dragonborn... you should probably deactivate those if you're not running the add-ons.

 

2) Try deactivating ERSO 30 - Better Enemy AI.esp... it's possible the AI package is interfering with the guard behavior.

 

3) If still having trouble, if you've completed the quest from Live Another Life and on the main questline, try unchecking Live Another Life and Life a Deviant Life. I've run into weird random problems with having LAL active after the quest completes... so best rule it out.

 

4) I notice you don't have a bashed patch... you might want to create one. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1840/?

Yesterday I updated to SL 1.57 and of course all the other mods I favor.  Was sad to find out that my favorite mod, Prison Overhaul isn't compatible with 1.57.  Xaz, is that hard to fix/update?  Do you have plans to do that anytime soon?  Appreciate the mod, thanks!

I found only one thing broken at the moment. First prison sentence works as intended even with 1.57. But guard can not make second arrest UNLESS you run "reset quests" from PO's MCM window. Then arrest and everything work again. It may not be the case, but I noticed that after quests reset on second arrest there was blank space and then "was unequipped" or something, so it could be that script dealing with player's inventory somehow becomes bugged during first arrest.

 

Is there any way to shorten trips to prison and out of prison when leashed to a guard? It takes way too long, more than I can afford to wait.

 

Edit: There is also a bug that prevents almost  every movement of regular camera. In this case you pretty much have to use SL's free camera function.
